just curious on what your impression is of De boer's attitude. Personally I thought it was to appease Tottenham Hotspur and not bring unwanted attention to Sherwood. But I believe he is not setting stone and someone like Pocchetino is also a favourite.

Does anybody know if we ever made enquiries about Martinez before appointing AVB or, if any of these rumours about interest in him today have some substance?
I always wanted him to be given a chance and can't believe he didn't appeal to Levy all along; great playing style, over- achieves with squads he's had and, biggest draw for Levy, has turned several signings into big profits!
Suddenly everybody thinks he's a good coach because of Everton this season but it's always been there. Rodgers inherited his playing style at Swansea and made the most of it (often forgotten by everybody who is lauding him).
I would think him very unlikely to leave after 1 year, unless Everton made a pretty penny out of it and tried to make it as clean a break for all concerned as possible.
