Arsenal fan in peace,

Wondering what the relationship between you lot and Madrid is?

Because you've been seriously led down an ally and beaten with a sock full of lies and broken promises.

Don't get me wrong, it's funny. But was just wondering what it's about, because I haven't the foggiest.

Whats really funny akie is you gooners keep coming over here to tell us how bad our squad is or how much we need bale or how we were ripped off (86 million pounds, ripped off yea right) truth is you are concerned with what we are doing here and you feel compelled to keep telling us how bad we are. I love a bit of banter so keep coming it just makes us realise how far we have come that our rivals try to ridicule what is a massive improvement in our SQUAD (not just the first team) and that we have enough players to tackle europe, fa cup, captal one cup, league and all internationals that need to be played. so the season is young the chirping has started but let's see how this long, long season pans out because whilst the ARSEnal have obvious quality (as we do now) they have no depth whatsoever and I feel may come unstuck by lack of striker etc etc I mean can you see sonogo (spelling) running the front line and this will happen as giroud won't go all season without injury so it will be intersting to see if venga's idea of signing one player of relevance when the squad is so obviously threadbare, intersting season ahead I say

Really just wanted to know what the relationship you and Madrid formed was about because they've had your two best players and have sold ozil to your biggest rivals and almost loaned coentrao to united, another rival of yours.

Didn't come on here to argue with anyone, you've had an amazing summer window and you've also grown massively over the past 6 years.

So if someone could just tell me what spurs get out of this relationship with Madrid please?

Also, I never said your squad is bad or that you got ripped off for bale, it just seems that Madrid get what they want and don't care about the relationship.

Agree0 Disagree0

Madrid get what they want but this time they had to pay for it as they did last time but we really played hard ball this time and got 86 million pounds for a player that obviously isn't worth that silly money. but as they had promised fans we hiked up the price and said thank you very much, nothing special in that we got 30 odd thousand for modric who also hasn't lived up to the price. on the flip side we paid 8 million yes 8 millionj for van der vaart so if anything we have always done well out of our dealings with them. our rivals however, were offered a player then the price was hiked up so they didn't do any business (di maria) benzema was never going to be allowed to let go as he was to important to them but they were happy to let ozil go (makes you wonder why) you say they were close to letting coentrao go to united but we don't know that all we know is he didn't want to come to us. I think we all know the only people who have a special relationship with real madrid and that is real madrid but I think we are on a plus with our dealings with them sold two high priced players and bought a quality player from the bargain bucket. I will say we take it as a compliment that you feel united are our rivals now. have a good season and let's knock two big teams off there perch

The relationship has got Spurs £118 million for two players - not bad going

Hi guys. Was just reading another site that specialises in the transfer markt, and I noticed that we are one of only two teams in the Premiership who participated in any deals to have come out in the black. That's us (c £4m) and Everton (c £7m), after their last minute heroics on deadline day.

That's a pretty amazing feat when you consider that we topped the spending table, and reiterates what a fantastic job Levy & Co. have done in this window, which will surely go down in Spurs folklore! Given the fact that Bale could have been wiped out with one late tackle against Hull City or their likes, it was futile to resist the offer and the temptations put before us by Real. In the end, no-one would have said no, but boy did Levy charge Real for the privilege! We have rebuilt our team, re-stocked the larder, have pundits and fans alike purring about the potential in this squad now, and all for the price (albeit, a rather exorbitant one at that!) of one Gareth Frank Bale.

So, like many recent posts, I see nothing but a very bright future for the Lilywhites. Should really raise a glass to Mr Levy and to Mr Bale. We are surely heading upwards.

Aren't we?

Why does Glen Hoddle have doubts about your transfers this season. What is it that he sees as a problem? Maybe losing your matchwinner was not quite as good a deal as you first thought.

The guys at Madrid are not totally stupid and they were more than willing to do the deal to get Bale.

Levy may have got the money but when Liverpool got the call from Madrid about Suarez John Henry said no and told Madrid not to bother calling back. Levy didn't manage to do that.

Time will tell whether Levy taking the money and selling the biggest asset you had is wothwhile.

Would you rather have a 10 carat diamond or a pocket full of cube zircona?

Tommy Gunn,

I would rather have what we have which is diamonds with the potential to be better than 10 carot, think you need to worry about your own lot mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy, you could also say that the season we refused to sell modric to the chavs, you sold RVP to man utd. Also you bowed to fabrigas to Barcelona. Player power always wins and don't you think the reason Suarez is still at Liverpool is that either no offer was made or not enough money was offered?
