Rm have short memories, anyone else remember under hoddle we tried signing morienties ( excuse spelling) spreading the payments over 5 years, claiming they were being insulted and he wasnt a washing machine being paid off in installments!! If they want bale they should remember he isn't one either, pay up or bugger off, I hope he stays but if he goes it's on levys terms not there's, COYS

Hi Eds, another day, another Bale exclusive!
Can you answers some questions please?
If AVB and Levy aren't interested in selling Bale, why are we even talking to RM?
If Bale has his heart set on joining RM, then why don't we make him ask for a transfer? Why should he have his cake and eat it? If we sell him, isn't him entitled to a 10% pay off? So that could be upwards to £10 million paid out, on top of selling our best player, before we have even started! No wonder his agent is pushing for the transfer!
And if, they are trying to buy our best player, shouldn't we be dictating the terms, amount etc? They want our best, but refuse us who we would want in return, who the f**k do they think they are??? Then they have the cheek to offer us 5 year terms, do they think we are the bank of Spain? They owe us enough to buy Paulinho, from Modric deal! What the hell are we supposed to buy with £20 million to replace Bale?
And finally, who is bankrolling them? They have already spent over £100 million?
I have never hidden the fact that I am not a Levy fan, but so far he has been changing my mind this transfer window, but if he let's Bale go, on their terms, on the never never, and doesn't replace him along with a new CB and LB, then he wants hanging off the stand by his b*******! And Levy lovers, please don't say it's not his or Lewis's fault as they hold all the aces!
If Bale wants out, ask for a transfer,
If RM want bale, they pay up, don't f**k about! {Ed002's Note - (1) It is a case of getting the best deal possible and posturing. (2) 5%. (3) They are looking to sell to finance their transactions - and they have the highest annual income of any club world-wide.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You have slated Levy enough times for being a penny pincher to know what he's like, so rest assured if Bale goes it'll be on Levy's terms only.

Agree0 Disagree0

Madrid may have the largest income of any club but they are also being investigated by the European Commission over their land that that they get large income from.

Agree0 Disagree0

It may be on Levy's terms, but let's hope it's not on the last day of the window.

What's the point in having the money if we can't spend it.

Ed's what's happening with B. A. E? As mr Rose looks lost IMO. Good back up but not as good as BAE. {Ed002's Note - Nothing right now.}

Dont know about you fellow fans, I am watching tv now and more and more each day I am realising especially the mug on there now going through transfer window at 733 pm that they talk nothing but rubbish, Bale upset, Suarez Angry blah blah. Funny how neither of them spoke yet. I like bale, there's no proof that he is unhappy but he signed the contract so he should abide by it unless both parties happy.

Bale staying says Tottenham live he is here one more year before joining RM next summer for 95m this would be great for us gives us a year to try find a world class replacement really how this is true
SpursT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lol Tottenham live, they know as much as the next man ie nothing. They are just guessing like every other media outlet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bale's head has been turned, there is no point in keeping him. His performance and commitment will be affected if he stays

What would everyone think of a midfield Paulinho/Dembele/Erikson?
with Sandro/Holtby/Siggy back up and hopefully loaning Carroll out to an EPL team?
Sandro/Paulinho/Holtby cover for DM.
Dembele/Holtby/Paulinho cover for CM
Erikson/Siggy/Dembele cover for AM

Would be able to mix the team up depending on who we playing, when we playing and how we playing!

The South African

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wouldn't even play Siggy, certainly not in the same class as any of the others,

Agree0 Disagree0

Sandro is too important to be a bench warmer. We do not need to sign Erikson.

What we do need is another striker and another centre back.

Agree0 Disagree0

All good and well but without Sandro in the starting line up times are going to be hard next season. IMO he has got to be no 1 in our centre 3 and work on from there. I believe Erikson would replace Dembele if we signed him (unfortunately as he's real class) I think keep Carroll and we've got a strong enough central midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sandro as back up!! I don't think so. He is one of the first players to put on the team sheet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Understandable, Sandro would always be first on my list - just worries about his absence from matches and his fitness and with that said if he isn't match fit come game day who? (with the possibility of Parker/Hud up for sale and Livermore not up to standard yet)
Also Eriksons value would generate some intense resale value.

Davo - Siggy is a tough one, has the talent and seems to of had a better pre season then most, with Dempsey departure he would be seen more as an AM/winger

Agree0 Disagree0

Sandro always takes a few games to get his form back, after a break he's often loose with just 10yd passes and he's now had two serious injuries in 2-3years so cannot be a guaranteed success again.
Sig looks a decent squad player IMO. I'm not going to be gutted if we have a couple of players out and he's playing, whereas with Dempsey I was always bemused to see him starting (despite his odd few important goals and us having very few options in attack all year).
We now need a centre back and there better be a decent one coming in or we're committing squad-suicide for the opening games like we have for two seasons.
We need Chiriches and should have been going for Remy loan for £2m with option to buy. If Bale is leaving then we want Eriksen or Bernard and a Ljajic/Lamela/Vucinic type signing as well.
Sell Gomes, BAE, Livermore and Hudd (unfortunately) to bring in some more funds.
This is realistic and (without Bale leaving) is not a lot of money on top of what we've already spent. It gives us options when added to the Chadli, Paulinho and Soldado signings. Maybe Defoe goes if we get a big enough offer. As crazy as it sounds to some, we need to keep Ade if not buying another striker who can lead the line on their own (which Defoe can't against top teams).

Proberbly shouldn't read too much into yesterdays game but its hard not to be a bit concerned. I don't see how selling caulker was a good idea with vert, daws and kaboul out we are short for the start of the season, its ok bringing someone in but for me caulker had prem experience and at times looked good, who is available that is realistic and better (hummels won't happen as much as we want it to). Why can't we sort out our buisiness early for a change and not leave it for the last minute like we always do. The bale saga needs to be sorted out as soon as possible for the managers sake and us fans.

whats happening with D Rose is he good enough?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's easy to answer, no he isn't. Sell him to Sunderland and get as much as we can.

Agree0 Disagree0

No no no carnt defend!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good enough for a club outside the top ten, yes!

Agree0 Disagree0

No but can be if we give him a chance. It's only his defending that's the issue at th moment (I'm aware he's a defender) but he improved defensively at Sunderland so game time is the answer. With Fryers also available I think it'll be a waste of money buying a LB. Buy another CB and if Rosé struggles put Vertongen in his place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sandra could improve defensively at Sunderland, even though Arry trained her as Bents replacement!

Agree0 Disagree0

So he improved defensively at Sunderland we've established that. So are you saying he can't at spurs with 1 of the best training grounds in the world?

defenders defenders
after watching the Monaco game and with all the reports that vertonghen, dawson are injured and kaboul being seemingly crocked forever, surely we need at least 2 centrehalfs, aidelwaard or chirches? I would go for someone ala naybet too

Roberto has updated his bio on twitter to state "Player of Tottenham Hotspur FC".

Keep Bale and buy a CB and maybe another striker if we sold adebayor and we have a force!

COYS.

It's reported real motor mouths wants to pay 20 mil a year over 5 years for bale. What a joke. You make a world record bid but want to pay yearly. Is that money not like qualifying for champions league?
Every flipping season we start it with an unsettled squad.
Time for levy to come out and talk to the fans not avb who is clearly not happy
Levy or spurs officials come out of hiding.
Statement simple. ( embrace them too)

100 mil 72 hour all monies up front.

Is Perez toying with the idea knowing we dnt want him to go.

They must know levy wants rightly so the money straight away.
Maybe it's his way of saying to the fans ( look world record bid but never happened. Not my fault)

Anyway bottom line is we are two weeks away ( all bale talk should be finished within 24 hour, enough is enough its mot helping the squad
Mr g

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What a pathetic offer!

Levy; tell them to stick the offer where the sun don't shine, and to either pay-up or foxtrot-oscar.!

Who the hell do RM think we are, some kind of finance house for them?
Enough is enough now, and we need to make it perfectly clear what our intensions (or selling terms) really are, and set a deadline so this whole sorry saga does not drag on any more.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im pretty sure that you only have 3 years to pay off a transfer paid in installments nowadays so that 5 years is not true, ed? {Ed001's Note - that is correct according to FFP.}

Whoever slates tonights performance is a big tart. Did you not see our line up? Haha fryers and livermore against falcao was always going to be a pain in the ass.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with post. Would like to point out that Rose is not the answer at left back. Good enough at going forward but clueless at defending. Failed to stop crosses coming in from his wing and regularly caught out of position. This LB has been our weakness over the last couple of seasons and must be addressed if we are to get top four place. Our dreadful goals against is the most pressing problem which we have IMO. The old saying " If you do not concede goals then you can not lose games" applies.

The Don

Agree0 Disagree0

Rose not the answer just because he hasn't set the world alight in a couple of friendly's? When you consider Bale didn't show his true abilities until Christmas last year don't you think your comments are a bit premature?

Fans on this page always moan our youth don't get a chance and when we're prepared to do that they ain't good enough. I for 1 (I don't care if I'm alone on this) really hope to see a lot of Rose and Townsend next year then I'll judge them after they've actually been given a chance.

Get behind the lads, whoever it is AVB picks!

Clint Dempsey is a good friend of mine and you will see over the next few months (if you follow him) that his move back to america is down to personal family purposes. He has loved his time in the UK but as we all know (in our own lives) family politics/situations ultimately come first. Please don't be to harsh on him as this was a very difficult and rushed decision he had to make.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To be honest when he signed for us I think most spurs fans were a bit dissapointed as he wasn't the kind of player we needed at the time but I believe he won most of us over and did well for us, he scored crucial goals for us inc a couple against man u hope hi move back home works out for him.
