How brave is lloris. If that is not commitment I dnt know what is. How many players would have asked to come off

Lloris is awesome. So good to have a quality keeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brace, but potentially stupid.

He should have not been stubborn and just go off the pitch, just incase. What if he had internal bleeding?

Remember that time Joe Cole got knocked out, got back up, then fell back down again?

It's too dangerous when it concerns head injuries.

Spurs were in the wrong.

10 games in time to have think about how we've started the season. Played 10 conceded 5, 3 in 1 game, 7 clean sheets, defensively strong and well organised in midfield, 20 points at an average of 2 per game are the positives. 9 goals scored, 3 pens, a lack of supply to Soldado and slow build up play are the negatives IMO.
All in all though I'm happy with the start and hoping that as the season progresses our attacking players can produce more real scoring chances rather than pot shots from 20+ yards.

If you compare how we done against last season against the same teams (comparing the relegated teams against promoted teams as well) we have better off by 5 points to date.

We are a working progress by I'll take the clean sheets all day. I can see Abebayor being played soon and being awesome as he's hungry to play and to prove a point.

Today is probably our biggest game of the season so far with teams slipping up a win today can put us into 2nd in the table. Granted we have played that silky football we are custom to at the lane however with a win today we are very strongly in the mix. I dnt care how we win today. When is the last time after 10 games we were 2nd. all the teams who have won the league like arsenal, utd have won it and picked up points when they are not in full flow or seaming played sexy football. We are in a period that we have had major over surgery at out club over the last 2 years. We have to choices at the moment sexy football and loose or grind out results and get 3 points. Ideally we want both but dnt see it happening yet. Maybe not even this season. So let's all get behind the boys and take all 3 points today, anything less today must be classed as a worry, Everton are a good team so If we want to be title contenders or become a top 4 team them we need to beat the teams like Everton

Before kick-off I would gladly taken a draw. but after our 1st half performance, and in particular Sandro ( who kept Lukaku & Everton quiet ) I am disappointed that we did not take more from this game. all hope of taking 3 points were dashed from our grasp by AVB's decision to take Sandro off & subsequently allowing Everton back into the game & keeping Paulinho on yet again for the full 90
i have always been an avid AVB supporter but with the squad we have and our in ability to roll teams over i'm beginning to have my doubts as to whether he has the knowledge or aptitude to take us to the next level.
for me barring injury Sandro, Dembele & Eriksen should start every pl game

Avb makes bizarre subs and team selection all the time. Paulinho is lucky to be starting at the moment his play is way too slow and no way as progressive as it should be which sums up Avb's tactics. I to am questioning him now after initially warming to him. Most managers would have us in the top four with the squad we have. He seems to be happier to play away and play on the counter which is fine but at home he lacks the balls to attack.

Yep he does make some bizarre subs! Sandro, best player with Vert, by miles, let's take him off, = midfield now dominated by Everton . It's a mystery, much like let's play Holtby instead of Erikson . I like Holtby, but Erikson he isn't! Give him his chance in cup games please AVB! And if you are going to put Erikson on, please make it before the 84 minute! That was another bizarre substitution!
Oh and Andros, we know you have made the England team, and you want to stay in the limelight, but you do have other players in the team that you can pass to instead of trying a shot every time!
Still it wasn't a defeat, so onwards and upwards to Thursday .

Sandro was subbed as he was injured. Paulinho IMO is a very good player and has settled very well in England, unlike several of the other new signing, IMO our midfield 5 should be Sandro (when fit), Paulinho, Lennon (as he is more of a team player than townsend) Eriksen and on current form Siggy, although once Lamela settles I would have him instead.
Thought the back 5 looked solid today, Vert was awesome and Chiriches is looking better with each game, when we have a decent LB Vert and Chiriches is going to be one the best CB pairing around, Walker looks like he is finding some form, thought he played very well today. Lloris, what can we say, took a wallop from the Beast of Lukaku and still stood up afterwards, all in all a very well earned point.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dembele for Sandro was to make us more attacking and creative. I didn't think it was too bad a sub.

I agree about the Holtby for Eriksen sub but. you don't want to put your last sub on too early in case there is an injury, ie to Lloris (so he held off to esure he was ok)! I see your point but abit harsh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree slightly rabbit, but what's the point of putting him on in the 86th minute! As for putting Dembele on, that's when we should have made the Erikson change!
