Not sure how true it is but reports suggest that Arry has been seen in the motorway services outside London with Jamie and Sandra . They had a list of the players available on free transfers and Arry was choosing his squad for next season .
Oh no wait a minute , I have woke up and it was a nightmare , or was it ??

Re Super Y*d, when we have our new stadium which will generate much more money for us we will easily be able to compete for the top waged players, espcially if we have champions league.
I wouldnt be that gutted if Modric left, who will pay the money though? The only English team i would sell to is Man City and there is no way any foreign team will pay 40m. He doesnt score enough and he has never apologised for last summer.
We really should have a better scouting system, Broomfield is poor. I could go and watch Damiao, that aint scouting!

The way things are going, im going to be a very, very old man before i take my seat in the new stadium. Listen, If we cant wrap up a signing who WANTS to play for us over the sake of a few million pounds then do you truly think this stadium is goingt to be started, let alone completed anytime soon?
Modric may well go to City, infact any other english club that can afford him ( dont write Chelsea off, they would still have him) my issue isnt just who replaces him but the way we seem to sell our best players to our rivals weakening us and strengthening them. Fergie never did that, and wouldnt, I dont see Mancini selling his best to another English club and so on...

It's very easy to say that moving to a new stadium is the answer to our problems...but simply put it isn't. Take a look down the road at Arsenal, despite having probably the most consistent profit in the Prem they still are paying of their stadium.

The benefit for the stadium won't be seen financially for years, and with FFP coming in very soon I can see it being very much a poisoned chalice

Maybe im going against the grain a little but regardless if luka wants to stay or go i sell him anyway. The money they are talking about is silly money and could be used on young players such as Joe Allen and Dembele. dont get me wrong, luka is great at what he does, holding and spraying the ball about but lampard does that and smashes in 10-15 goals every season, Modric is what...25-26, he is what he is now, theres no changing him. There were too many games last season where we were relying solely on VDV and Adebayor, in my eyes thats what cost us the 10 point gap over the goons.

You make some valid points BUT, personally, we will be weaker without him. Look, if he really isnt THAT good, Chelsea, Utd and City wouldnt touch him with a bargepole! They do tho. Joe Allen and Dembele are nowhere near as good and even if they will be, it means that we have to rebuild, nurture them and allow them to grow and improve in their position.Thing is, I really dont want us to be another Gooner squad, constantly tinkering, constantly rebuilding and winning f**k all thanks!

Utd, city and even chelski can afford to have modric because all of their squad chips in with goals, how many goals did lennon, parker or modric score combined last season? 5? it needs to be sorted, luka to go for me.

Hold on fella! Why blame Modric for his lack of goals and not Lennon and Parker?
Basically, you are saying that if Modric were to go to Chelsea/City/ Utd, it would all be ok because the goals come from everywhere else in the team, right? So why would they want Modric? Dont you think it would be a good idea to ask why WE havent got goals flowing from every part of the team too? Maybe thats the issue, selling Modric wont suddenly have Lennon scoring 20 goals a season would it! Parker? I see, unless he is sold on, Sandro keeping him on the bench next season, there is far more to his game but, again, he isnt a goal machine either! Im not sure where you are coming from Sir. You blame Modric for other players lacking goals. Even if you replace Modric, how many players with his ability are going to chip in with, say 15 goals a season? Exactly how many of those very players will take less than £100,000 a week to play for us too? Very, very few, infact, i cant think of anybody.
Whether he stays or goes isnt really the point, the real points are that we cannot afford to replace him with somebody better or as good ( 'arry will probably try and sign Diarra...I will ask for my membership money back if he does) and if we sell to those other Premiership clubs, does that make us nothing more than a Nursery club to them? Rufus, fella, we have sold top players to our rivals and its made me feel sick TBH. I dont give a sh*t if we can squeeze more money out of another Premiership club, i dont want to make other sides better!!

I agree with not selling to your rivals, if we can get good money for him from the likes of barca or madrid though then id buy his ryanair ticket myself. i just dont want to pick up the paper every morning and see the same stories as last year, if he dont want to be at spurs just get rid...

Have to agree; although there are obviously players out there better than Modric...how many of them are not on 100k+?

And if we did sell him who will come in and accept wages of less than a 100k and also no CL football?
