After watching the England Belgium match today I think dries mertens would be a perfect signing for us, scores loads of goals and can play on both wings and even in the middle of the park!....the lad looks class!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Eden Hazard looks the biz , I'm gutted he chose the Champions of Europe Chelsea .

Agree0 Disagree1

Eden hazard reminded me of adel taraabt.
I can't see him playing for chelski too long.
Not every week anyway.
I've seen better players for that price bracket.
Ps....not Andy Carroll tho lol

Well..?After England's performance today, I can't believe Lennon or A. Johnson aren't going to euros.
By the way....thought vert looked cool and composed while playing out of position.
I think we should try to get Adam Johnson. I think he would be available and be great for our style of play

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I'm annoyed lennon's not going because I think he deserves it and is underrated by a lot of people. Conversely, I'm glad he's not going because then he can't get injured

Agree0 Disagree1

Lennons best place is on his sofa during the euros......he pulled up with an injury on about 3 different occasions towards the end of the season, hopefully he can get back to 100% fitness before the league starts.

Agree2 Disagree0

Walcott and Milner are much better

Agree0 Disagree0

Walcott?that made me chuckle.
no more than a sprinter in a football shirt

Agree0 Disagree2

If Walcott is a sprinter what do you think Lennon is? At least Walcott was in double digits for goals and assists

Anyone that says 'look at where we were when Harry took over' doesnt know anything. Look at where we were in February then you mugs! Almost all Harrys fault. No excuses next season Harry.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Def a gooner stirring it up or, if not, then he should be.
Calm down mate.
Over stressing is not good for you.
Ask Harry that!

Agree0 Disagree3

Mistakes were made without a doubt but the best learn from their own mistakes and improve, that's the biggest question mark over HR for me!

Agree0 Disagree0

By the way, including you, everyone is allowed an opinion.
Doesn't mean they know nothing.
They just have a different opinion to you.
Take a chill pill geez.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with first poster. Harry took the plaudits for our "exciting and flowing football" so why not take the flak for throwing away a 10+ points advantage taking us out of a guaranteed and comfortable third place finish/Champions league qualification to fourth place and bog all? He is a tactical dunce and failed ( even tho he is supposedly brilliant at it) to motivate the players into maintaining form and certain Champions league qualification. Mistakes were made? Too right they were! Thats excusable from a young manager but hard to justify with someone who has been in the game for 50 odd years man and boy and the favourite for the England job!
If he couldnt get the team to maintain the push on the home stretch, with one of the best squads in the Premiership, why do you think that Levy AND the majority of supporters, doubt whether he is the man to do it next season? Doh!!!
Super Y*d

Agree1 Disagree1

I agree with most of your post super yid, but the fact that we played danny rose, gio and nelson is a few of the last games doesn't boast one of the best squads in the league

Rufus

Agree0 Disagree1

Rufus, you make a decent point but, TBH, our squad was stronger than the Gooners, a match for Utds ( they had the worst squad i can remember) and we could say the Chelskis wasnt THAT great either. Gio hasnt been given the games he needed, Rose, IMHO, isnt going to step up in class to keep a place in the team and Nelson, as old as people said he was, was a good solid pro who could do a job decently. I dont think, in all honesty, many other clubs had greater strength in depth than we had.Everybody is laying blame at the door with Levy because we didnt make any significant signings in the transfer window, yet, it was harry himself that stated he didnt see the need to sign anyone in that window unless somebody "exceptional" came along. I have no doubt, IF, it had been asked for, funds would have been made available to strengthen the squad even further because, at that time, harry was trusted to make the right decisions. I know people say that, even then, the England job beckoned but, come on, nothing official was said, it wasnt all over the press and supporters hadnt even considered the prospect that he was going to be offered it then anyway! Ultimately, whatever way you cut it, you cannot haemorrage over a ten point lead, a very, very comfortable ten point lead, with few "mega" games to play and state that the squad wasnt strong enough or the players had been "unsettled" by the "Harry for England" talk. Harry COULD have strengthened the squad and FAILED to drive the club forwards to ensure a certain third place finish. He must have known that there was, even the remotest, possibility that an English club MIGHT win the Champions league and that they needed to hold on to third, right?
Its true that, maybe, we are looking for somebody to blame for throwing away so many points and a C.L place but somebody does, ultimately, have to kop the flack and IMHO its Harry. If Pardew ends up having his best players sold from under him before the start of the new season and they finish only mid table at best, will the supporters blame him for not maintaining their performance or will they blame Ashley? Just why did they overachieve last season when our much better squad stuggled to finish in the top four let alone hold onto third?
Super Y*d

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle achieved what they did last season was because of two reasons....1, they had good players with not an ounce of pressure on their heads and 2, ALL of the team scored goals, ok cisse was outstanding but cabaye banged in a few, Ba showed quality, ben arfa finally proved how good he is and even gutierrez was consistent. Next season they will have a job keeping up with the hype they have earned in recent months.

Whats with all the Harry lovers? He cost us, thats a fact.
I cant stand him, but im prepared to give him a chance next season and see how he goes. Just shut up talking poop to the press please Harry, we dont like it!

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Well I'm glad you don't run spurs, whats with YOUR prepared to give him next season, look at where we were when Harry took us over and where we are now, so called fans like you make me laugh. jog on mate!!

Agree1 Disagree7

Yeah and look where Portsmouth were, solvent and in the Premiership, when he was manager and look where they are now, freefalling and bankrupt! Thats just pure coincidence, right? Harry fans are in the minority, im afraid.

Bale going
Modric going
Van der fart going
Harry getting sacked

Vertoghen only club seriously interested

Flamming June haha

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Bale ain't going
VDV ain't going
Arry ain't going

Modric can go and we can get Martin or Sahin to replace him and use the money to buy Damiao, Vertonghen too!

COYS

Agree1 Disagree0

Bale is staying as he has pledge his future at spurs for at least another year. Modric looks like he will be staying as no one is willing to pay the fee Levy wants. VDV is loyal, loves the club, love london he will not be leaving. As for Vertonghen, Arsenal were front runners however, we came in and he chose us.
Just a jealous gooner. bye bye RVP and Song, LOL

Spurs Lad

Agree2 Disagree0

Another post from fans of man city's feeder club.
Can't wait to see the smile on RVP's face next season when he plays for a proper club with prospects, even tho all money related.
Your lot are goin backward son.
The longer arsol whinger keeps scraping by, the better as far as I'm concerned.
We are on your tails. Only by shear luck, and our mangers stupidity, is the reason why you finished above us.
Not again tho. The tide has turned.
Look out below

Agree1 Disagree0

Pledged his future for another year I'll try one more go to qualify for c/league which you have no chance.
As for being on our tails our worst performance and still finished third.
We have a better set up
better stadium
bigger revenue
sponsorships renewed for more money in two years
better youth policy
you don't have the set up or the pull to overtake us and you know it

Agree0 Disagree0

Better stadium...for now
Bigger revenue....stadium again.....for now
Better youth policy.....I don't think so
Sponsorship.....again stadium.....for now
You even admitted yourself you had a bad season, you are on your way down.
We have the pull, no doubt about that.
We both have ageing, crap managers.
Who are both far too big for their boots.
You kept saying better this and better that, with that stadium you should be challenging for honours. You are not. You are challenging us for prob 4th and 5th now.
Get used to it

Agree0 Disagree1

We have a better team and we are progressing and you are declining.

^^^^^

ha, you may have a bigger staduim but better, I have heard more noise in a library. Better youth policy?? really, do you know what a youth policy is? it means you find and develope young players, not go and buy any decent youngster from around the world then call them your own. Sponsor you said it yourself the money may come in 2 years and unless your both Assnal and Spurs accountant you wouldn't have a clue what its worth. the only thing you got right is your revenue is a bit more than ours CURRENTLY but you need it to pay for your oversized library.

Why blame HR for every thing he siad what players he wanted in jan window n our owners n levy would not release money for players were more happy to penny pinch for old freebies.HE has taken this club forward so give him his 2 or 3 yr contract he has earnt it or will levy n co stab him in back as they did MY n that backfired on them.We lost cl when we rolled over nshowed no fight at gooners n that was down to players. As for moyes dont make me laugh levy n co only like him as he will not ask for much money n be happy to sign average players but if thats wot they want then great lets go backwards once again.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Hi Jamie, hows your dad?

Agree1 Disagree0

Reason levy dident spend in jan, was every one thought hed take england job, now hes been passed over hes wants to stay. he he had come out with wanting to stay earlier, just maybe levy would have opened the purse strings

Agree1 Disagree0

Hows dad more like hows Jamie injured as usual

I am getting very worried by these rumours Harry is leaving and AVB will take over. Please for the love of football at WHL do not let this happen. HR for all his faults in certain areas is one of the best in the country and look where HE has got us. If AVB joins he will piss off half the team with his own ego. One of my good friends is a big season ticket holder at Chelsea and believe me AVB is not the right choice.
Levy, leave him alone and give Harry the two year deal. If it doesn't work after one year then re look at it.
You may disagree with me but listen AVB over Harry, get real!
COYS

Believable1 Unbelievable3

AVB could be a very good manager, you can't say there are better people at Chelsea than at spurs. The old players have all the power there and because AVB was drafted in to phase them out, they didn't like the fact they weren't playing any more so they rebelled and got him kicked out. There would be no such problem here at spurs because there are no big ego players like Terry, Drogba, etc

Agree3 Disagree1

AVB failed the most important test of Football or any other kind of management. He was a p*ss poor man manager. Football management is all about handling egos, you think Spurs doesnt have egos in its squad? You must be joking! AVB failed to handle the egos, failed to make the changes gradually, failed to keep ANYBODY happy and failed to communicate with his players. Apparently, now, he is looking to find a "technical project" with some degree of "longevity", or words to that effect. Dear God, he has learnt nothing has he! "Technical projects" are Footballers, people, human beings. You can get as technical as you like but its about players. I think he is a trifle stubborn, if not a bit of a nutsack. Any club in England would employ him at their peril.

Villa were there for the taking Harry bottled it and played it safe which backfired big time and cost us CL football so for the first time i'm not that bothered if Harry went but rather him stay than have AVB although i think David Moyes would be class

ou812

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Like it or not harry madethe right call against villa we got 4th place. he did however make mistakes in matches before this game that ultimately cost us 3rd. Please fellow coys remember were we were b4 harry came i feel he has earned our patience 4 another season and with a few trade mark bits of levy wheeler dealing we could be on the brink of something special. coys 4eva
