Are all are new singing playing tomorrow?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think so, well Soldado is a no go atm but Chadli should play and maybe Paulinho for the 2nd half/last 30 mins but not 100% sure.

Hi Edd great page.

is there any chance when we sell Bale that we may move for christian eriksen? or maybe Bernard?

all the best

Yid76 {Ed002's Note - I would not restrict interest in the others to being reliant on the sale of Bale.

if bale is to leave why don't we but reus from Dortmund he can play on the left and he can play as a st so he can ensure goals {Ed004's Note - Because Reus is not for sale from Dortmund this season}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As you can well see ed, money talks

I am starting to accept bale is off and feel excited with who we might get in! I think as much as I love bale, he didn't do it every game. I watched all our games last season and half the time he was average. the other half was something special but u look at ronaldo/messi they change every game! I think we have the betrer end of the deal I think we wil be stronger with a couple more signings really do! Keeo the faith boys! Coys!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm sorry but you must have been on the homegrown last season, if it wasn't for Bale we would have ended up 10th.

Agree0 Disagree0

The way fans turn on players when they leave and say "oh he weren't that good anyway" always makes me laugh.

Ed's,
With the recent additions at Spurs, we are looking like a much stronger unit. That being said. We have just lost a promising CB in Caulker. Fingers crossed we can re-sign him for the £9M we sold him for if Cardiff get relegated.
Who are we actively looking at at the moment? as I have been away for a few days relaxing lol.

Looking at the team, I believe we need another CB and TBH I believe we are pretty much good to go! However a cheeky bid for Torres and or Dzeko would really top it off for me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Like to see us bid for Simon Kjaer who is at lille last time I heard but not sure. Failing that the Dortmund cb subotic.

Ant

Agree0 Disagree0

Both very good calls Ant! I wouldn't mind either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't see the point in selling Caulker CB wasn't a position we urgently needed to address but with Dawson and Kaboul picking up injuries too often it is now and who's a better young cheaper option that what we had in Caulker?

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree, it seems like a slip IMO unless we have a replacement already lined up?

any truth in rumours of spurs showing interest in luis suarez if bale leaves?

With Cauker and Ballad gone we need to strengthen with quality. This Romanian is obviously quality as he was targeted straight away but central defence is so important that I think you need some premier experience to hit the floor running. Williams from Swansea, Shawcross or Jaielka or got that experience and are very good quality. Arsenal did this a couple of years ago when they could have had Samba, Cahill or Jagielka but went for Mertisacker and it took him months to get up to speed.

When we sell Bale which looks destined to happen I think we need to piss of the Arsenal and sign Suarez and Bernard both being targeted by them so will show our intent and be a big one up on our dreadful neighbours. I know this sounds a little primary school but would I think every Spurs fan would love it.

Shawcross? No thanks, Dawson is our Shawcross and a much better player of that ilk in every way.
We have two weeks until the first league game, only 2 fit centre-backs and only 3 on the books. Bale not gone yet so waiting and wondering about that hole to fill too. All we've added to the squad so far is what we needed WITH BALE in it. If he's not going to be then we need two more decent signings like Lamela, Ljajic, Bernard, Remy, Eriksen. Not mentioning Dzeko as seems Man City want him to stay.
Let's not forget, Levy loves a last day of the window sale so, we have brought in the striker we needed to have more than 2 + Bale but, if Bale goes and he flogs Ade on August 31st we will be in an even worse state!
Always the way these days for us up to two weeks after the season starts, then we miss out on Champs League by a point two years running and wonder why!

This Bale transfer is really starting to piss me off!
It seems that real just do what they want when they want. But as soon as other teams try to bargain, oh no it ain't happening!
If they want our best player, then tough, pay what we want and accept we might want players you might not want to sell! We don't want to sell Bale, but you are acting as if you are something special, dictating what happens all the time! Plus, you owe us money anyway! Why would we deal with a bad debtor, I wouldn't?
Money up front, old debt payed, and players of our choice, nows the time to put up or shut up!
And if Bale doesn't like it, then ask for a transfer!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree! We (if Bale sold) should call the sits. Levy should give them a sale price and date by or RM to do one.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree that way Madrid have behaved is disgusting and I guess all Spurs fans share the same frustrations with this whole saga (for a second summer in a row)!

That said let's not forget TEAM BALE has played its part in all this! This nice, down to earth, will just keep his head down and get on with it lad has seemingly had his head turned. One could argue who could blame him after the lure of champions league football, playing for a club like Madrid and of course becoming the most expensive player in history with all the riches which come with it!
On the other hand you have a club which believed in him even through some really tough times, a manager which played him in a position which catapulted him into the position he finds himself in today plus let's not forget the fans who worship the ground he walks on! With the later in mind (I'm a spurs fan so of course) I personally think with all the reports coming out that he wants the move, won't play for us anymore (ala rat boy) etc he owes it to the fans to clarify his position!

If he does want to go then Spurs should come out and make it clear publically, that's the price either pay it or F*"k off! Gareth Bale has his way out if Madrid want to pay it otherwise Gareth please revert back to the nice, down to earth lad we have heard you are and get your nut down plus get on with playing for the club which has supported you so far in your career! simple!

I personally think there is some truth to all the reports and he does want out however let's not forget we have put a new contract on the table which has apparently got a buy out clause for next summer! so perhaps a slim chance he is staying tight lipped to bump this up with a view to moving on next year. wishful thinking perhaps!

I guess equally the deal could already be done however Levy has insisted nothing will be confirmed until we have targeted and secured our summer transfers?

Regardless of any of the above THFC was here long before Gareth Bale and will be long after he is gone!

B's a yid

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny thing is, the banks (to a lesser or greater extent) own Real Madrid (it's complex, I know) and the state has been bailing out Spanish banks plenty, meaning that if Real Madrid owe us a lot of money from two transfers then in some ways the nation of Spain is indebted to THFC.

And that's cool, I suppose.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davo - why would RM want to slow the deal up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Very strange attitude following the Benteke saga. Madrid fans can say, he has not played at the top level he is at a modest club and will want to leave. He has not proved himself at the level that Ronaldo did so offer spuds 50m and leave it at that, he will force the move and run his contract down otherwise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok spud good point, except, if the debts are re negotiated or defaulted then spurs miss out on that cash they are owed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Wulf, didn't think I said RM wanted to slow deal up!

Ah, must have misread mate - soz!

Papadopoulos' club schalke said they would accept a bid if it was sufficient. let's reinvest those caulker funds wisely and steal a liverool target at 15m euros {Ed008's Note - He'd be a very good player and would be quite funny if Spurs signed another Liverpool target!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree, seen a bit of him, looks good. If this Chiriches deal isn't a cert then they need to get onto a decent CB signing immediately.

Sorry but if I was levy and co I've just spent out on 3 players to build a team around bale showing him we want CL fotball why would u sell him let's not forget he is our player under contract ok 85/125 mil whatever it is is a lot of money but bale is under contract and we offered him a better one so what if he has asked to go or not as for RM still need to pay for mod I'd want that paid 1st before even talking to them this so called partnership is all about them taking our best players mod now they want bale I'd pull out of it ASAP

Believable0 Unbelievable0

105million could buy a decent premier league team. all we need is a couple of pieces to establish ourselves firmly in top 4. And maybe challenge the likes of city and Chelsea.
