Accidentally pressed send button, wanted to say that don't think get Martial now he has signed a new extension and I would like to see more of our youngsters like Alli and Pritchard start.

I would sign benteke and aldeweld, attack and defence need strengthening big time and them two fit the bill.

Don't think benteke would fit Mopos way of playing , and he wouldn't play second fiddle to Kane . We need someone who can play on the wings , cross a ball and add a goal or two!

I think he'll go to Liverpool, or maybe his fellow countryman will have a word with him. He's not worth £30m anyway,

Having said that we definitely need a proven goal scorer. Austin or Berahino maybe worth a punt.

{Ed001's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Is Daniel Levy The Problem At Spurs

Believable0 Unbelievable1

28 Jun 2015 10:34:41
Given our stadium size Levy does a good job. Best training facilities in World and best Academy in England now.You could criticise most Chairmen if you want.

Kevin Wimmer has also been brought and I thought Vertonghen is staying with him about to sign a new contract.

Long term plan with a long term manager is your only hope, if you keep expecting to build a mansion over night on a semi detached budget your house will continue to fall down time and time again.
Give this manager 4 more years even if its 4 more CL free years and we might have to start worrying about you, but if as expected Poch doesn't last next season then your chances of ever getting a sun tan disappear with him.

The thing is gunner football has unfortunately gone that way now, if we finish 6th or 7th next year questions will be asked, managers don't get time they say they need. You've also got to let the manager buy his own players to be judged.

I feel Levy does a decent job if I'm honest. Sometimes the players need to be blamed more than the chairman there has been many players under perform for to many games.

To be fair DR putting our own elegances aside and speaking as purely as a football fan I think the top four is done and dusted for next season at least maybe even the next two seasons such is the gap at the moment between Arsenal Chelsea city utd and Spurs Liverpool Everton, I know any one can under or over perform during a season but it would be a brave man who bet his house on the top 4 being different to last season.
So for me that gives you Liverpool and Everton some breathing space to build solid foundations upon which something solid and lasting can be built and once again become a big force in the game and I think the club that holds its nerve best will prosper most over the next 4 or 5 years.
Short of a multi billionaire with money to throw away taking over (ffp allowing) its the only realistic way forward for any club currently out of the top 4 who have the ambition to change things.

P.S.
I rate your chances far higher with Poch than I do Liverpool's with Brendan Rogers, now the Liverpool fans have every reason to be worried because although he could still prove all wrong personally I think he's way out of his depth at Liverpool and always have from the moment he got the job.

Give me homegrown development players anyday over overpriced sp called ready made stars. Sometimes you get value for money eg Alexis Sanchez , Luis Suarez but it doesn't always workout. Much more satisfaction in developing players.

I would rather see Alli, Pritchard, Onomah et al in the team than some 30m Charlie.

Agree6 Disagree1

28 Jun 2015 17:24:45
Obviously Cog developing is better both financially and satisfaction wise but the problem is it has to happen quickly if your goiñg to retain the players, without provoking anyone but if Kane has another season like last season how long will no CL or being competive be enough to keep him.
We had the same problem with player who wanted to be involved in a serious title challenge just a short while ago where we couldn't offer the medals and others could so they went.

Cog, The thing is most home grown talent is not good enough, Just take a look at our National side.

Baldini needs to take the blame for our abysmal signings with the Bale money, there is quality out there we don't have to spend multi millions.
Although I will say we need to buy players that will walk into the 1st team.

Rather than investing say £10 million in a player who may or may not make it I think spend the dosh on scouting and coaching young untapped talent, its out there somewhere going to waste.
Peter Beardsley and Ian Wright are just two examples of players who were almost lost to the game but found a way back but how many don't or end up in league two or the conference.
Its just one way to bridge the gap with the Billionaire clubs but its just not instant and requires patience and vision from all.

Hate to agree with you g62 but the gap has come on a whole lot for the top 4. Personally I think a couple of years ago (when we were 12 odd points clear of you) we genuinely had a squad of a top 4 calibre (may be the spurs tints, but I still believe we had a better team than you, just maybe not the management experience of top level). The youth are coming through, but as you said tapping into the unknown talent, is definitely what we need to do, rather than the second string big price players we have been after

Hi R91 mate all banter aside and talking as football fans most people if they had to name their top 4 to win a million pounds would go for a repeat of last season, I totally agree a few years back you were very much top 4 contenders and on a couple of occasions desperately unlucky to miss out food poisoning/ Chelsea winning the CL and finishing 5th.
To me at the moment with the gap so wide there are two chioces, tree water and pay over the odds in wages and fees for nearly for below standard players or build slowly but surely and invest in the best scouts plus coaches.
The championship plus league one and two must have some real young rough diamonds that with a bit of TLC would polish up more than nicely not to mention other premier league teams who have kids that can't get near the 1st team because of lack of opportunity, take Harry Kane himself this time last season many new managers would have took £1,000,000 for him to invest in anothef dross forward from abroad aged 27 or more.
There is more than one way of doing things and the easy one cost multiple millions most clubs don't have.

'The gap soo wide', you couldn't beat us last season though could you and although our win was only 2-1 we absolutely battered you. This was in a transitional season for us aswell! I wouldn't be too cocky fella.

I wouldn't say the top four is as certain as you think, I think only Chelsea and City are a cert. Wasn't that long ago you lot wanted Wenger out.

I think that is why we went for Paul Mitchell. Remember Koemans' joke picture of the empty training ground?

You took 4 very well deserved points from us last season Cog no argument there mate, should the top 4 be any different to this season come next May I will come on this page and apologise to you personally if that OK with you.

30 Jun 2015 10:52:34
gunner62 you talk a lot of sense, the top 4 is miles away from us and I think a few people on here need a reality check, the top 4 will be even further away if the reports are correct bout lloris going to united, how do you expect to make champs league when you sell your best players constantly? modric, bale, berbatov, carrick, pos Lloris. even vdv went too soon for my liking. I think we need to get toby aldeweld at the back to partner vertonghen

Hi boddey I think patience will get you there and impatience will lead to more of the same, but we fans aren't known for our patience and understanding are we, well unless your a Southampton fan that is.
They see the bigger picture it seems and if they do eventually end up in the champions league will be the example for all to follow but the only difference will be they will have stollen a march on others hoping to break into the top 4.
