Luka let us down with that sulky performance today, dont get me wrong,he wasnt the only one, bale and kaboul were awful,as was the useless crouch.
As much as it pains me to say,i think if chelsea offer 40m,we may as well take it now and get some players in quick, that want to play for us
We need to get the crap out the door on monday, sort levy, all that haggling for a few extra quid crap, got to be put aside.MR LEVY,YOU HAVE 3DAYS TO PUT IT RIGHT SO CRACK ON MATEY

PYZEE.(not very happy right now,tho the 8 2 at old trafford cheered me up a bit)

Believable6 Unbelievable0

The 8-2 at OT has cheered you up a bit..youmug..we got ran over today because we have stood still since we qualified for the CL.. I blame levy and redknapp, we had the perfect oppurtunity last summer to break our wage structure, push on a nd sign some worldclass players but what do we do we wait until the last minute and sign VDv, who is a class player if the system fits him, and the system does fit him ,unfortunately for spurs the system does not fit us, go back to 442 as quickly as possible and stop relying on long ball to crouch hoping the VDV finishes them off, Bale and lennon are wasted as crouch couldnt hit the sea with a stone if he was on brighton beach all day. also harry is a disgrace coming out after the game saying modric did not want to play....Levy's gonna sack him..u mark my words

Wembley Hotspur

Agree12 Disagree6

It breaks my heart to admit i agree with you wembley..... I love VDV but if you look at our goals scored ratio before vdv jouned and while he has been here.... we dont score goals any more, its as simple as that...... Go back to 442,it doesnt take a genius to work out how that fromation plays thats why it suits harry no brain redknapp......How he put that team together to face city is beyond me, it was so bad that toure and barry abandoned there DM position and push so far up that city had 6 attackers pushing on and stretching us to breaking point at every oppurtunity. HR had no gameplan to cope with nasri aguero and silva. he seems to have thought i'll put more attackers on the pitch than them. Difference is Mancini learnt his trade in the most TACTICAL league in the world. Hate to say it but HR has taken us as far as he can

Agree7 Disagree0

Dont put city down to mancini fo gods sake, hes playing playstation football,
even that d***head wembley hotspur could manage a team of stars city have.

Agree1 Disagree4

I did not put city down to Mancini, all i said was he had more tactical nouse than HR. Your Wembley comment was a bit harsh,at least he has the balsl to sign off what he has been saying which is more that can be said for you bellend {Ed008's Note - VDV can easily play RM or CM with Huddlestone/Sandro RM he can cut in and allow overlapping RB Walker to attack we played him there many times when Lennon was out he played good.

Agree2 Disagree0

Wembley hotspur here, at least explain why you think i'm a dickhead.and point out what you dont agree with. The first reply to my post has got it bang on, we will put more attackers on the pitch than them and let them worry about us.Dont blame the defence for the defeat. they got over run because there was no 2nd line of defence and crouch up front on his own meant there full backs could push as far up the pitch as they wanted.

Redknapps we will score more goals than them mentality got found out this time last year and he has done nothing to change that

Dawson - old fashioned average CB that is caught out of position time and time again. Why has Harry not dropped him from the starting 11? He has been at fault for the majority of our goals yet manages to walk away without even a slap on the wrist. Pathetic.
We're looking for a defender that has great leadership skills and can organize and talk to his defense all the time. Dawson is not that guy and neither is that overated fool cahill( that we're being linked with) another one of harrys poor targets.

Lennon - why he hasn't been dropped baffles me to the max. He has all the pace in the world yet he remains his usual predictable self ( recieves the ball then passes back) Take the ball and run at your defender, if you fail do it again and agAin because evenually it will work. Defenders are terrified of pace and yet Lennon haryana ever manages to use it and for that reason he must be dropped. Harry should have realized this long ago.

Harry talks about balance all the time yet in todays game there was none if it. Tactically Harry has no clue whatsoever as proved in many games before especially todays. I'm not angry at the scoreline Im angry at the fact that the team selection he picked to today was pathetic and it showed he hasn't got a clue and for thT reason Harry needs to walk.

HARRY OUT

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Dawson? I dont think he is to blame for the performance today. Kaboul was at fault for two goals Lennon? Got to broadly agree with you, enoughs enough, tho, I do ask myself, If Mourinho was in charge would he be able to pump Lennon up enough to run through walls? Just how much does harry tell him how great he is, give him the self belief? Thats what he lacks more than anything else, right? Harry? Well I was shot down months ago for daring to suggest that we may need another manager to take us to the next level. I take no pleasure in being proved right but Im being proved right. Harry IS a wheeler dealer, as much as he hates to be called such. Does he give any air of authority? Would a big time Charlie be persuaded to come and play for us or would they think he was trying to sell them a two bob watch? We are a million miles from top 4 and wont be there again under the current structure.Any notion that we can put it all right by the middle of next week is just a fantasy
hey, arry didnt rate Suarez did he
Super Y i d
PS: I DO hope Im wrong, Id be happy to be..........

Agree0 Disagree0

Too true super yod , Arry knows one way to play and it aint good enough Once again it was one of Arrys pets at fault for a couple of goals , Why he was brought back is beyond me , wasnt good enough the first time Lets all pray that by January we arent to far behind , and Levy spends some money so we will still be able to make the top ten
Davo

Agree0 Disagree0

Super yid, I agree that we're headin in the wrong direction under Harry. With Dawson I wasn't neccessarily talking about about yesterdays performance just in general. Hes caught out of position at least once a game which leads to a goal scoring opportunity for our opponents. Now he wants us to sign cahill....why? The man hasn't got a clue. Cahill IS a poor poor player who has been hyped up to much by the media. He is not a leader, he's not someone that will organize and talk to his defense, he's just another dawson that will try and make a challenge on the half way line. Useless. Subotic/samba are big strong leaders that we should be looking for.

I'm a Chelsea fan and really hope levy keeps his stance on Modric because the lads not worth 20m never mind 40m.But on the plus side if he does go,look at torres' sale to us.It's rejuvenated Liverpool and there better off for it.But please keep him.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

No what rejuvenated liverpool was spending 100 million + on 5 players

Wembley Hotspur

Agree2 Disagree0

Torres getting sold did make a big difference for liverpool after the january window they were on fire

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool have not spent 100 mill on 5 players... Downing 20, Henderson 16, Adam 6.5, Enrique 6, Doni free = 48.5 million.... Torres' fee alone covers this, therefore Torres leaving has made a massive difference to Liverpool Football Club. Add Coates at 7 mill is still only 55.5 million, bring Suarez and Carroll into the equation that is 23 plus 35 which is a total spend 113.5 million on 8 players since the new owners took over. Net spend for Liverpool is around 30-40 million, Very good business from the management and board I think.

James Mc

Agree1 Disagree2

Which is what said...never mind net this and net that ..suarez 23 carrol 35 henderson 20 downing 16 and adam 6.5...5 players costing around 100 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres leaving made no difference to liverpool spending top money on top players did( although i dont put carrol into that category)

Im a Newcastle fan and I know what it like to have teams try and poach your best players (and succeed). However, I really think that in the case of luka modric, £40 mil for Chelsea would be a good deal. You could then bid for either wesley sneijder or Kaka, who could be bought for around this price if not less. Just a thought though and I imagine you Spurs faithful will tell me where to go, but if a player does not wat to play for you... best shot of him.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I agree,im a yid.think luka should piss off now,the sulky little f***er.40m to buy some passionate players.

PYZEE

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree to an extent. I rate luka highly, he wasn't the only pudding out there yesterday. However 40 mil would be a great price for a player who clearly doesn't want to be at the club. The only problem is, players like kaka and sjneider are not going to want to come to spurs. We have to be realistic and plump for Parker Cahill/samba and as much as it pains me to say it Bellamy as with three days of the window left the very top players are going to be way overpriced

Agree0 Disagree0

Thing is, we do and could have the cash to buy sneijder and/or kaka etc, but there's no chance in hell we could pay their wages

This is the 3rd post i have sent in
(neither of the previous 2 have been
published not sure why).
I have long been a reader of the posts
on this site and feel some are very informed
views of fellow fans. However after returning
from WHL today, I feel now is the time
for levy and Co to either put up or sell
up. It is all well and good being a well run club
but who wants to be a well run club playing
championship football next season. Extreme
i know but we look very poor at the moment.
Harry and Levy need to seriously look
at bringing quality and quickly if they want to be playing european football any time soon.
Bringing in players like Parker/Diarra/Bellamy
and even adeabayor are not improving our first 11
we are in my opinion in serious need of
a commanding centre half and a 20+ a season
goalscorer. Our midfield with or without Modders
is quality when all fit and with the youngsters
coming through there is an element of
depth to that area. Damiano would be quality
but we can not afford til wait until January
for him to come if at all. Sign Ruiz and
Cahill now.

Cant agree more

Well, Ive been posting on here for ages saying that by not making the signings we obviously have needed Levy is missing a great opportunity for the club and possibly even taking us backwards. Ive had the Levy fanclub on here accuse me of panicking and even of being an AFC fan, well what have they got to say today? The team we fielded today was pretty much they same team that couldnt score in 2 games against City last season while City have reinforced bigtime since then. Result?Humped 1-5 at home with the added humiliation of City treating it like a training session after their 4th goal. Im know we cant compete with City in terms of transfer fees and wages but we could give ourselves a chance by strengthening where we obviously need too. We lost out in the Summer on Leandro and Vucinevic cos the selling teams transfer price was 1-2m higher than Levy wanted to go. Result? We start the season with the same strikers that proved utterly inadequate last season. I hate to say this but I dont blame Luka for wanting out as WE HAVE NO CHANCE OF A TOP 4 PLACE THIS SEASON. Why should a player of his quality coming into his prime waste his career on also rans? Levy and Harries claims that we would make signings that prove our ambition have proved to be errr b*ll*cks. Loaning Adebayor a typical mug Levy move, he wont hang around longer than a season if we dont get CL football. If he has a bad season he's a bad decision, if he has a good season he'll be off to someone with more ambition. Brilliant stuff Levy

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE
If Redknapp thinks playing the two little "Croat boys" in the middle against City was a good idea, he is accountable
No wonder Levy doesn't trust him; would you send MR."Suarez is not a Prem' League player" - to scout signings?

To all those that want to keep Modric: was that a £40mill performance? - don't expect him to get any better for a long time now either..

Rooted to the bottom of the table with 0'pts and -7 goal diff,.. sound familiar? Taxi for Redknapp..

Well, what do all you "oh you are being negative" supporters think now?
Actually, Ive just deleted a load of stuff, I truly cannot be bothered to go over the same old stuff, time and time again. We are going backwards and we will be fortunate to finish in the top 6 come the end of the season. Do we say how brilliant City were or do we rip Kaboul to shreds for being a piss poor defender? Do we blame Redknapp for signing Defoe, Crouch, Bassong, Kaboul, Corluka, Palacios etc, etc? Do we blame Levy for letting him spend, spend, spend? Do we REALLY think that a bigger stadium is a priority over a better team? If we keep going as we are, will there be enough of us out there paying through the nose to watch us? Will Bale now seek a move in January? Will VDV? Dawson? How many players will Levy refuse to sell? How many of thos will turn up but just go through the motions?
Prediction? Modric will be gone by the end of the window. Bale will be seriously considering his future, as will other players. Redknapp? Gone by Christmas as we langush in mid table mediocrity. Dont laugh at the Gooners, we are in a far worse position.
Super yod ( all doom and gloom because not even Adebayor will save us..)

Can i ask a question to other fellow spurs fans? i see on other comments on websites about adebayor joining the club alot seem to be against the idea.....ok i wont lie when he was at arsenal i hated him for scoreing at white hart lane everytime, but i tink the doubters need to give him a chance before saying anytin i have a feeling he will be great for us and i know deres alot of other spurs fans that tink the same,i even tink ade will hit the ground running first game he plays against wolves

Just so you know mate. I agree. And like Harry says, if he doesnt cut it, then we arent losing out. He could be potentialy a cracking player without the hassle of a large transfer fee and again, as 'Arry says, Arsenal fans hate him so he'll be great at Spurs

Personally, I cant be doing with all the d*ckwads that jump up and down because you sign a player that used to play for you most hated rival. Personally, I couldnt give a f*ck if we sign Gaddafi and Kim Jong il, so long as they move the club forwards.

Sometimes your comments are okay but sometimes you write the most remarkable comments. Your description of other peoples ought to be edited or just not printed. Nobody cares about how you feel about the people who engage in this banter page but more about how you feel about our team. Try and relax a bit.

With respect, what i post has nothing whatsoever to do with you. You dont like it? You dont read it. If its good enough for the eds to forward, thats good enough for me. Im afraid forums are full of opinionated sh*ts like me as they are also full of indignant tw*ts like you who feel that they represent the moral majority when they actually only speak for themselves. I have some good banter on here with numerous people and, while i dont agree with everything they say, i do respect them. You, I I have no respect for because your comments are meaningless to either myself or the club. Im sure everybody else that views my posts with such distain are perfectly capable of posting their own views without the need for you to jump infront of the train like some third rate super hero. The forum is there for all views to be aired and, so long as they are not libelous etc, etc, im sure they will continue to be posted because, luckily, the forum is moderated by moderators that act like adults and not kids on a mission. Something for you to learn there, right?

Parker and cole?? wtf Harry your suposed to be taking the club 4ward not backwards if these 2 do sign i will be the first to call for Harry to leave an b4 you start going on about him being a miracle worker remember jol got us 5th place twice and if it wasnt for berbaknob we could of made champs league ages ago so when we are gonna be bottom after 2 games is harry still gonna be a genius or simply another ramos who fluked a couple of good seasons? so so disapointed in the lack of quality signings, parker and cole will want at least £60k a week so the cutting the wage bill arguement doesnt work either we have known we need a 20 a season striker since before jan and are still no closer to signing one (on terms not on loan) we f***ed up the Damiao deal, harry dont want Ruiz cos we dont need cover in that position wtf a striker who can also play on the wing so push lennon no we dont need one of those lol you realy couldnt make it up levy should tell harry that a team doesnt consist of 11 midfield players

Dis-illusioned, betrade, upset and many, many more
We have finally put the death nail in THFC
's coffin for a few years. Parker, Bellamy, Freidle - old expensive players that are no better than what we have already. Don't get me wrong (& don't write to say I'm wrong) we will probably have some success with them, but non are better that our existing players, non excite me and non have any sell on value. If I had told you in May that that we would end up with those 3 plus Adebayor (on loan) who would have been excited? We had a team that with some tweeking could have gone forward for many years and chalenged at the top of the Prem - it's our formation that needs to change (and our Manager - HR has taken us as far as he can, he's out of his depth - but for certain will now leave us with his legacy - expect to see Joe Cole of the final day
He must know that Modric is leaving (who can blaim him, I'd go and not just for the money - there is no direction) otherwise why woulod be buy Parker, where does he fit in? Wait and see with JC. NCTHFC
IF I COULD SUPPORT ANOTHER CLUB, RIGHT NOW I WOULD - WHAT HAVE YOU DONE LEVY???
