this is unrealalistic but this would be a scenario that losing bale isn't all bad

this is what i would hope happened if we lost king bale

spurs should sell bale to real for 50mil plus higuan (prevents arsenal getting him and he's a quality striker) contrao (fits our left beck need) modric (creative spark in midfield) and di maria (good winger who would bea top player for us) with the 50mil to cover wages plus some for transfers

with the extra cash and from other sales spurs should sign paulinho along with another winger for cover to lennon and di maria (preferably bernard who could possibly contest lennon or i'd settle for ince) and another striker (one of soldado, villa, damiao or benteke)

this would test rm to really see just how much they want bale

we should get rid of these players along with bale - adebyor, parker, huddlestone, bae, livermore, gomes, khulumo ( this guys been ghosting) and possibly dempsey and defoe

this would leave us not spending too much extra than recieved but perhaps increase our wages

this would give us a strong match day squad of roughly

SO many things wrong with this post

1. 6 changes to our starting 11 from last season? You actually think tighta**e Levy will sanction 6 BIG transfers? Although according to you, you think Bale is worth £50m plus Coentrao, Modric, Higuain AND Di Maria?! Wake up. Plus, Bale will go nowhere this season now that RM have signed Isco. And Levy WILL NOT sell Bale to another British team. That only leaves PSG as the only real team who could afford him/would want him. And seing as AVB has snubbed them, I am 100% certain Bale will too.

2. Dembele on the bench? Wake up. I bet you our midfield trio next season will be Sandro, Dembele and Paulinho.

3. There is no chance in hell Spurs would have a first 11 with only 1 British player in it. Defoe will stay and players like Carroll and Townsend I reckon will be given more of a chance this coming season.

I think you need to be realistic in the fact that we have Daniel Levy as our Chairman. And even though we have Baldini to sanction and deal with transfers. again, there is no way in hell we will only have 1 British players in our First XI and sign those 6 world class players.

50million plus the 4 players from Real for Bale. Don't need to read any further. 30m plus Higuain and di Maria or Contrao more realistic. Secure Paulinho plus one other of similar quality and we'd be challenging for Top 3. with no injuries maybe higher.

The original poster did say this is unrealistic. Jesus, people are so quick to have a go on here.

I know its unrealistic but I think we should sign messi and maybe ronaldo, throw in the spanish national team as well. what is the point in all this!

Paulinho says the only offer has come from Tottenham and that he will make a decision on his future after the Confederations Cup this weekend.

"It's not true about Real Madrid, the only offer that has come is from Tottenham, But I have already said that I will only evaluate it after the Confederations Cup. hopefully we get him and maybe villa nxt week

David luiz has said that 'paulinho is a great player. He can come to England and he is ready'
With the paulinho comment about us being the only club, I'd say its already sealed and paulinho is a y*d.
Happy days. Should allow us to clear a few off the wage bill and get our squad down. I'd say he replaces scotty, Hudds and Livermore.

Eds do you reckon RM will be punished for evidently constantly tapping up Bale even if they don't sign him, or is that just impossible {Ed008's Note - Highly unlikely.

If you remember anything about the cashley cole to chelsea saga the only evidence that got chelsea into trouble with was the hotel meeting. If it wasnt for that chelsea may not have settled with a huge bid+gallas.

Remember these guys have the best lawyers and are able to freely compliment any player they wish, even if one is mentioned more often than the others, no matter how much we want to shove a ball gag in their mouths
