Whenever you ask for him, he never turns up. Then he'll come along and post a MASSIVE article in a couple of days time.

I thought we had discussed ignoring him until the end of the window. then if damaio comes we apologies and if he doesn't the oracle goes away totally and utterly discredited and seen as the fake that everyone sees him as . please this has been going on for a long time ignore him and lets see.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey just to say if damiao signs I wouldn't be apologising for anything and no apology would be warranted.

For a few windows the press links us and then the oracle comes out and says it is a done deal bla bla and he won't post again if wrong, which is always the case.

I have read we are interested in this and that so all I have to do is say its a done deal and hope it comes true.

He is not in the know as he is so usually wrong and just quotes whatever is heavy in the news.

The other day he was claiming to be a non executive director or a liar one or the other as if.

I used to listen to his posts when I first came on here but after time widened up.

There will be no apology from me, but then I seriously damiao we will be seeing damiao at the lane this month too.

Can't help thinking that with jack butland at 3.5m he's a snip for a future no1 keeper.

Can't wait for some real transfer rumours, instead of some of the drivel spouted.

Good job ed's and pinkys quite, must be on holiday in Wales.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

We have some extremely good young keepers at the club who are believed to be better prospects!

Why don't we accept 50 odd mil for Bale then send them young Kenny McEvoy instead! They won't no the difference.

Is it possible that we are instigating these rumours about cut price deals for players from watford, celtic, etc, so clubs don't hold us to ransom when we move for "bigger" signings? Levy is shrewd. He knows clubs that need to sell will accept cheaper offers as deadline approaches. Holtby will go to the wire. And a chance of a grotesquely low bid for negredo in the 11th hour to a seville team that need what they can get.

Great chairman. Even if we make no glamourous signing.

No matter money talks and he spanish clubs will have to well or perish keep on going levy

Listen in folks - before you start on me, I am a long time Spurs fan (it's my life), but other than Holtby arriving in the next few days - I think we are all wasting our time searching for the next big signing. Levy won't invest as we think he will - Llorent, Sneijder, Damiao and the like are all linked and wanted by us all but we are wide of the mark. If we get either Moutinho or Damiao (Oracle, I will eat my socks pubilicly and never post again if either join, but I hope that you will do the same) THERE WILL BE NO BIG SIGNING!!!!! sadly, ZAC

Hi Eds,

I read somewhere earlier (can't remember where, sorry) that we had shown interest in Matej Vydra from Udinese (on loan at Wolves) He's scored something like 16 in 24 or something. 20 year old, fast and knows where the goal is. Could be a possible cheaper alternative to Hooper (How I really hope we don't sign). Do you know if there's any truth in this? Hooper is very much like Ricky Lambert, I feel. Knows where the goal is, a competent forward, but doesn't have the skill or pace to be a true success at Spurs.

Dom {Ed001's Note - Udinese quoted a figure of something like £15m, so not even close to being a cheaper alternative mate.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

On loan at watford you mean*

Agree1 Disagree2

He's on loan to Watford not Wolves.

The Rabbit

Agree1 Disagree2

8 of those 24 appearances were as a sub, so its a goal a game ratio.
regardless of what level, pretty impressive
b/s

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry, Watford, not wolves... Apologies. I thought a fee of around £6-7m might've been enough... £15m may not be a great price, but from what I've read about him, he could be a great long term investment. I'm clearly not that informed about him, just something I was skimming over earlier. Is he actually a possibility?

Does anyone know what our latest offer for holtby is, and what sort figure his signing on fee is going to be?
Yorkspur

Believable1 Unbelievable2

They are asking for 1.6mill and levy offered 850.000 would'nt be surprised if they keep him till summer just to make a stance against levy for playing his usual games every transfer window. Yiddy68

Why do we need to spend big for the sake of spending. We have enough GKs, FBs, CBs, Widemen with back up from Siggi & Towns. Scott backed up by Livermore (Both England player) as defensive MFs. Dembs Hudd attacking MFs, Defoe Demps & Adeb upfront. All complimented with an incredible U21 squad which can start being blooded. And Kaboul to come back & Holtby to arrive.

But agree it is fun playing the game. Go for Ericksen if anyone.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Cause our shots to goals ratio is piss poor so we need better strikers

Also, hudd and especially Livermore ain't good enough for us !!!

With all this transfer talk I can't help think why have a
Partnership with Madrid we can't afford most of there players
wages I don't understand what we get out of it can anyone
see us getting kaka, callajon, Mod, ect players that don't play
Week after week but been linked with other team this
transfer window so why are they not at the lane on loan With
Madrid paying some of there wage? I'm not saying I want these players but just thinking why have this partnership?
Youth team and up and coming players yeah but that's only if madrid don't want them but named stars
People that would make a impacted for us will not happen and that is what I think we could do with. On a good note I've
Seen Holtby play a few time and I'm looking forward to see him at the lane great player and will only get better

Just have to say, absolutely loving the oracle/channeler banter, going on. I only go on this site to see the oracle get abused. It brings me joy. Now we have the channeler, effing genius. Being rolling up reading this all morning. Its better than eastenders!

Thank you my friend.

I called him out but he didn't want to know.

Many have called out the Oracle, he'll just ignore you and carry on as if your post wasn't there - just like all the other times. I wouldn't waste your breath. Not one person on here believes a single thing he says (but then you knew that already).

Keep up the good work.

sueng hon min and holtby in before the end of jan..secure cl footy this year and we keep bale for one more season..if we don't itll be 45/50 mil and bye bye gareth.which could be a blessin in disguise as I think that could lead to maybe bringin in damiao and willian or moutinho..although levy might choose spend none of it which whud be disasterous..fingers crossed

Believable1 Unbelievable2

If we fail to secure 4th position, why on Earth would the likes of damiao, willian or moutinho be interested in joining Spurs? Furthermore failure to secure 4th place would mean we will have less cash to sign new players. If we don't secure some more goal scoring potential I am seriously concerned that goal differential may be a deciding factor in end of year rankings.

Agree0 Disagree0

As every other supporter on this site fears too! Apart from ' the Horacle ' no one really believes we will buy another striker, levy is just stubborn, tight, pig headed and looks after himself and his mate, Joe !!!

After all the rumours, expect the end of the window to result in the usual....not much! Holtby deal is done for summer for certain and because of Sandro injury may be brought forward for as little money as possible. After that I doubt we'll get the striker we want/need unless there is a chance that Sevilla will sell Negredo dirt cheap at the last minute out of desperation. However, Levy will probably put £8-9million on the table as take-it-or-leave it which they'll likely never take. There'll be the last day tv coverage about how close we are to a deal, only for it to fall through at the last minute and then the usual 'we tried' when we weren't really serious.

Levy has to balance the books and he's been doing that for the new training ground and stadium and will continue to for a while. The player transactions over the past two years are way in the black but it won/t be spent on players and wages. Even if we had loads of money he would probably still deal exactly the same way anyway.

Do you think we were really ever that close to signing Moutinho for £23million when AVB hadn't even managed for more than a few weeks? Never looked or sounded Levy's style to me (but you never know). Since it never happened and we're in 4th by January with a thin squad, Levy is more likely to take his chances that we'll finish 4th with what we've got rather than gamble £20m or even £10m in January without it seeming to be a mega-bargain.

Would love to be wrong as lack of depth may cost us again. It was part of last year's drop-off but we actually had more numbers then.

Dont know why everyones so critical of Hooper.. I don't like it for the sheer fact i'm a Rangers fan but I give credit where credits due.. The boy can find the back of the net. Look at Jelavic. All be it he's not had a brilliant season he can score a goal and he will find form again. So SPL players can do well in PL. I think hooper with the balls lennon, bale, dembele etc can put through to him he'll bag a good few goals!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

If Levy is not prepared to spend big or the right player is not available then why not take a punt on Hooper, sometimes spending big money does not mean the player is gong to produce, ie Bentley, Rebrov, and we nearly spent big on Arshavin and look how rubbish he is at the Ars, Hooper may not be the long term answer but Ady can't hit a barn door Defoe has gone off the boil and he has to better than Harry Kane at the moment Hopefully Harry Kane will turn out to be the nuts but I doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree2

We have Adebayor, Defoe, Dempsey, Coulibaly and Kane as our striking options. If we were to sign hooper he'd be 4th choice behind Dempsey.

We are looking for a 1st choice not 4th!

The Channeller

Agree3 Disagree2

Who's to say he would be 4th choice?

He may turn out to be 1st choice! either buy performance or injuries to others.

Any player purchased would hopefully better the team but some players never become 1st choice even if they are the clubs highest purchased signing!
