Lads and ladettes,

Personally I cannot wait for this window to be over. I wake every morning to check all forms of transfer news just to see no signings and to be honest no strong links. Spurs are forever linked with every player under the sun and when it looks like we might have a shot, a team like united show interest. Let's be honest too, the majority of the time they arent even interested, the just want to unsettle the player from a move to spurs because they know how close we are to being truly one of the best teams in Europe.

I dream of a big signing but I can see we will be starting February with Pav leading the line.

Harry, Levy, put me out of my misery and sign Samba and Llorente please!

Ed008, Wenger, Villas boas, Dalglish to name a few will all be available! lol. I myself would go for Gus Hiddink.
I reckon Redknapp will stay at Spurs anyway, i dont think the fa will want him.

spurs guvnor
{Ed008's Note - You want Wenger as manager if he was available? I've heard it all lol I like Hiddink but he costs a fortune! I reckon Hughes and Martin O'Neil were targets before they became managers of QPR and Sunderland just a feeling.

Ha ha the guvnor has lost it big time.....hilarious.

To all those who question why Levy doesn't release funds to Redknapp; Turn on the NEWS!
If any deal is done it will be Levy doing the business.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Never criticise levy,he has been an amazing chairman for us

Ed 008, Rafta Benitez! Really? Come on mate, he is shocking. He is ultra defensive, he buys shocking players, hasnt a clue with squad rotation and he is barking mad. You want him so we could get Llorente? I would cry if Benitez ever became our manager, ask most Liverpool fans!

spurs guvnor
{Ed008's Note - I like him. Tell me another manager that would be available come summer that's good enough ? I prefer Rossi over Llorente anyday it was just a suggestion.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

RAFA BENITEZ. A great manager don't no what your on about?

Spurs Lad
{Ed008's Note - Did i say great manager ? No i simply stated that he's available and i wouldn't mind seeing him be boss if Harry were to leave for England (obvious he is unless he's sent to jail) My opinion

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh please , lets stop this now . There is no way that Benitez is the manager we need . Over rated , cant deal with top players , one dimensional , the list is endless !
Davo

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not being funny but why would you be upset at benitez replacing HR. he won the spanish title with valencia (akin to winning the SPL with aberdeen), won the champs league and got to another final, plus imo if it wasn't for alonso leaving he would have been very close to winning the title. also can't handle big players? what's happened to torres since benitez left pool?

Agree1 Disagree2

Benitez???
would be a very sad day. would rather moyes!

Coulibaly scored yet again today, cant wait until this lad is a first teamer.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Why not put him on the bench; wasn't Rooney introduced at 17?

Agree2 Disagree0

Should give him a place on the bench against Watford at the weekend.

Agree2 Disagree1

Saw a great article, about why he hasn't played like on the bench against cheltenham or shamrock, they reckon that they're trying to keep down the hype, as opposed to him being like the man utd guy who scored a pen against villa, and has proceeded to do nothing. It could just be he's a flat-track bully who's matured early and is therefore bigger, stronger and faster than others in his age group (see lukaku). Of course, hopefully I'm wrong and he leads our line for the next 15+ years, top scoring every season!

Agree1 Disagree0

Mo, soz cant reply on reply bit as it dont work with my android. Like i said yesterday mate Coulibaly aint registered yet but i would imagine he will when the window closes and the squad numbers are done.
I hope he makes his debut against Arsenal as a sub. He would destroy Mertesackers life! lol.

I am not going to claim that I am secretly in the know or anything, just my opinion. But, I don't believe that we will sign anyone in this window (except, possibly loans) as Levy wants to await the outcome of Harry's trail and if, proved innocent, he wants HR to commit. There is a reasonable fund (plus sales) that Levy has set aside, without impacting on the stadium build but the team are doing well above expectations, so no need to spend. I wonder whether HR has realistically taken us as far as he can and that, secretly Levy wants the opportunity to bring in someone new. The England job or trail offers Levy that chance to get rid of Harry - leaving him without egg on his face. I will admit to being horrified when got HR and I admit, like some of you, that I was wrong but, I do now wonder if he has taken us as far as he can and that if we don't want the key players to leave, we need a big named tactician to take us forward ie Jose M!
comments please........

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Agree with the idea that levy won't release funds this window, only signings i see are the type levy sorts himself (e.g vdv). on the manager front i would like a manager with greater tactical acumen, but i think mourinho is unrealistic. i would expect someone like moyes, better tactically than HR and clearly able to motivate players, would only worry over whether he could handle 'big name players' i.e modric vdv

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes is bloody awful, have you seen the style of football EFC play?! He puts defenders in midfield and midfilders up front and don't give me "he's had no money to spend", he paid 15m for Fellaini and hasn't signed 1 decent striker in all the years he's been there!
Mo
{Ed008's Note - Their's actually not many managers around unless one of the big teams at the Euro's have a shocker. One name that comes to my mind is Rafa Benitez i like him. (here comes the abuse)

Agree0 Disagree0

I think moyes is a good manager, the fact he plays people out of position only emphasises the lack of resources he's worked with. this is the first season a long time we've been clear of everton, and if you look at what we've spent relative to them that is a good achievement for moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Also wouldn't be surprised if a klinsmann type was targeted, i agree with ed, there arent many managers out there at the moment, i imagine hughes and MON were high on levys list before there respective appointments elsewhere {Ed008's Note - Klinsmann is now USA manager can take him off our list. Rafa Benitez could easily attract Llorente to WHL if he was offered job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lack of resouces is no excuse for defensive boring football, look at Swansea and Norwich 2 teams with less resources than Everton, the style a team plays reflects the manager in charge, Moyes........No thanks!
Mo

Agree0 Disagree0

Its decided then, lambert or rodgers! prefer buck myself...

Agree0 Disagree0

Never said I wanted Lambert or Rodgers, was just explaining why I don't want Moyes!
Mo

Agree0 Disagree0

We definately dont want Benitez , who not sure , but not Benny !!

I, just like many Spurs fans will be disappointed this transfer window (yet again) but not dis-heartened...as we do have a great squad of players that will, with one or 2 excellent summer signings be challenging for the title next year. Yes we are semi challenging this year but that wasn't our goal...Champions League was!! But our expectations will have risen by next season, not just by the fans but by the board too.

I will not speculate who we will sign as so many do on here but we are looking at long term prospects this window rather than a big money signing (don't rule out though). Signing another striker would disrupt our style and push out our loan signing unless Harry changed the shape. I truly believe we need a solid CB for this window and thats it for now untill we decide what will happen with Ade in the summer.

PS: Can you see us from down there Arsenal....echo...echoooooooooooo

Can't see us doing any real business
during this window. We won't win
the title but the current squad is
easily good enough to finish 3rd.

Levy probably thinks that whatever
the result of the court case, Harry
will be gone by the end of the
season. Either to England (if not
guilty) or banned by the FA (if
guilty).

He won't want to spend silly money
with the probability that we'll have a
new manager.

The full article is.

Having secured a deal to sign Japanese international Shinji Kagawa, Sir Alex Ferguson will look to secure further big name additions as he looks to make significant changes to his Old Trafford squad whilst simultaneously keeping up with the big spending behavior displayed by Man City and Chelsea over the past couple of years.

The Man United boss is readying an offer for Tottenham winger Gareth Bale as he looks to make the most of the uncertainty that is currently affecting the North London club.

Ferguson is said to be ready to make an offer of around £38m for the 22 year old and will hope that such a bid will tempt White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy into selling or at the very least leave the Welsh international fully aware of their interest. He will hope that such an offer will successfully attract the club's attention despite the fact that Bale is tied down to a long-term contract.

If Harry is found guilty will he be sent to prison or just get a large fine? If it is prison who the hell does Levy get in to replace him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Word in the 'hood is that it's prison - dunno how long for though...

As for replacements, it's anyone's guess. Levy might fancy his chances of getting Mourinho, but not until the summer. If that's case, he might just put Jordan and Bond in charge for the rest of the season.

Otherwise, I can't think of any outstanding candidates that are currently available (now that Ancelotti's gone to PSG) so you're looking at compensation for someone top drawer.

Just, please, anyone but Moyes...

Agree0 Disagree0

He would go to prison but for weeks however he would get sued for lying which could result in a heavier jail sentence if he then admits to doing so. {Ed008's Note - I have a funny feeling he won't even get a jail sentence just a fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard Peter Storrie has already been found not guilty but it hasn't been announced so not to influence this trial.

Does anybody else thiunk Levy will make a late late big name signing? I can't help but think he will see what happens with Tevez and if he is still at City on the last day make a move for him.

It looks like your manager will be going to prison soon!

now watch as your season implodes and you finish below both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Why would your players want to play for a man who can't be trusted?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Looking at recent events Mr Wenger and Abramovich look like they can really be trusted too, not...

Agree1 Disagree0

Wenger hasnt been hiding money away in a secret bank account. Hopefully harry will get found out for the common criminal he is.

Agree0 Disagree1

Oh dear , we have some bad losers popping up on our page don't we ! Look little boy , go back to your lowly regions of the table ! Even If Arry gets life , we will still finish above you , our players motivate themselves , so we won't worry !
Davo

Agree1 Disagree1

How do you know wenger isn't hiding money? You work in Monaco? Wenger's personal mattress turner? {Ed002's Note - I lived in Monaco for years and never recall seeing Redknapp, or his dog, there. Wenger of course spent much time there.}

I met a fairy the other day, and she said she would grant me one wish. I said i wanted to live for ever, she said thats the one wish i cannot grant. So after a few seconds i thought and said, fine, i want to die when spurs win the league, oooohh you crafty b*** she said.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Very good , like it ! Can't be a Manchester supporter though , must be scouse or gooner , as you need a sense of humour when you are in their position

Must be a scouser......theyre all comedians.

Hoping for a striker in the next week, hopefully go back to 4-4-2. we need a front player who's movement is in behind the defense (soldado or huntelaar?) as ade is a number 10 really links things and drags defenders out of position, vdv can't get in behind and you can't rely on your wingers to do it, as a consequence most of our play is in front of the opposition, and when we do get in behind its out wide, without a poacher in the middle for the ball across the box. if we don't sign someone, would like to see 4-4-2 with defoe and ade. our goals tally needs improvement
