In some ways i can agree with you but in football you have to take that risk. personally i wouldn't want suarez although i think hes a good player i don't think he can offer us anything different wereas Hulk i believe can. if we don't take the risk we will never know! as for forlan, great player but came to the premiership before and was a huge disapointment like postiga. the premierleague is a new ball game you don't have time on the ball like you do in the spanish leagues were the games are so much slower. sometimes it takes time to adapt to the premierleague, maybe even a season because there is no garentee that the likes of fab and forlan can immediatly flourish! and with them type of players they havent got time to learn!
Hulk on the other hand has all the attributes to be a success and still young and learning, if it means taking a 16/18 million punt on him i think i would!
look at luka modric, we signed him for 15.5 mill. now he can walk into anyteam with ease!
fabiano, with age theres more responsibility, with the history he has theres more expectations, yes he can still create magic but the older you get you lose that yard of pace!
it would be a dream if spurs signed diarra and Hulk, btoh young and hungry! by the way its not like we would break the bank for these type of players. look at the possible tarnsfers going out and th emoney we could make. pav 12, keane 6, villa 6mill(bent) that's a total of 24 mill.
maybe it is a hell of a lot of money but its a risk we kinda have to take! btw could you name your posts although i have a slight feeling it could be the great laner?

Not to be disrespectful but was it not bergkamp who also came from a mickey mouse league as well as other world class players who have come and gone? VDV? pienaar? and so on! fabiano is a old man why pay 12/15 million for a player that can only give us 2/3 years. hulk and suarez are top players and yes they come from a weak league but look at them as individuals and what qualities they have! Hulk has all the attributes to be a top player in the strength, pace, great hold up play and more! other then that the whole liverpool thing i do agree with, they need to look at themselves now instead of their history as do ARSENAL fans!

I can counter your agument. Bergkamp was signed from Inter Milan, a far stronger league than the Dutch. Van Der Vart played for Hamburg and Real Madrid, again two leagues that are far stronger than the Dutch and Portugese. Hulk? He played his Football in Brazil and Japan before going to Portugal and, at the age of 24 has a whole TWO brazilian caps to his name. Fabiano has played in Spain for some time now, a leaguer much stronger than the Dutch and Portugese leagues and has amassed 43 Brazilian caps, no mean feat when you consider the competition he has faced to get on the pitch. Suarez hasnt really done anything and hardly set the World on fire in South Africa, hey the old geezer Diego Forlan totally outshone him! On the basis of all that, do you REALLY think that two inexperienced forwards are worth the kind of money that their clubs are asking? Fabiano may well command a £10 million fee BUT he has experience, he is only 30 years old and could still play at the highest level for 4 seasons and would never be a gamble like the other two. Maybe they would flourish in the Premiereship, its just a hell of a lot of money to pay out to find out.

The notion that we should be grateful regarding this Hulk fella is laughable. We, taking things logically, should also be grateful that we had the foresight to have signed Bale, Modric, Van der Vart and Dawson! Credit where its due and all that. .

Hulk, as is Suarez, are playing in Mickey Mouse leagues. Only those that are utterly brave, utterly desperate or utterly stupid will pay the kind of extortionate fee those clubs want for two players, players that may not be able to hit a barn door with a banjo once they get to our league. Remember Helda Postiga? The greatest thing to come out of Portugal since the previous greatest thing? Prolific in Portugal, he bombed with us, and bless him, he did try but he was useless. He went back to portugal and started to bang the goals in again.

Podolski is a good bet IMHO, the German Bundeslega, is not too dissimilar to our league, he will be more than used to the pace and physical side.Fabiano is another possible. Vastly experienced and has the nous to play over here.

As for Liverpool? I think, as Spurs fans have to, the supporters need to stop living in the past and concentrate on the now. Irrespective of whether you are bigger than this club or that club, you are now light years away from challenging for a title, blimey, you have spent decades trying to win one as it is, and any notion that you will be able to reclaim a top four position without spending far, far more than your new owners have a clue about spending, is ridiculous. Not knocking Liverpool but memories and past acheivements don't win titles. Its about the now.

Only 2 strikers on harrys mind, carrol or podolski. correcting my previous comment podolski was another name i was to mention. in 7 days from now 1 of these stars will 110% be signing for tottenham hotspur.
MR.Keane, O'Hara, Woodgate, Naughton and hutton will all look to enlighten their future with moves away, with moves this january and the end of the season.
Lukas podolski or Andy Carrol, Lass Diarra all look to be heading our way.
harry behind scenes has jotted down his team for january and Levy agrees with the players and will work his magic to accomplish this.

. . . . . . . . . .gomes
kaboul. .dawson. . gallas. . .bale
lennon. .modric. . .diarra. . . VDV
. . . . . . .defoe. . .podolski

with VDV swapping roles with podolski as he also likes to occupy the left wing.

Andy carrol will be a tottenham player by the end of next week. 100% garenteed, forget all this media nonsense about him staying. he will be a spurs player in 7 days.
