With jan fast approaching my memory is taking be back to the summer.Avb was given the managers job after sigs and vat was signed... So it seams levy chooses and buys who he wants and Avb needs to make it happen... If I'm right Avb dnt have a chance.Avb has had half a season to see who will make it and what he needs to bring in to win things.. If we dnt pay the money in jan and get what we need then sorry to say I dnt see cl football next year or many years to come as the players we do have to build round will I think seek a move away in the summer... I'm concerned that we may fall back into a 6-9 place team again...it would be nice for levy the man who runs the club to actually come out and let us fans know the future of THFC and where he sees us in the next 3 years.. I'm not asking him to spend city's moneys but when you see tight ass arsenal spend then that is worrying
A club like spurs should be able to go and spend 40-50 mil on players or buy a 2mil + player no problem

I think the money is there to spend but levy will not just allow it to be spent willi nilli like he has in the past on players that are not worth the fee that the selling clubs demand because they have had a good/average/consistant season (downing) to the scousers is a casing point he is never in this world worth 20 million and it shows he cant cut it at a larger club with bigger expectations.

How's Sigurdsson and Dempsey doing lads? Were they good or bad signings for you? Are you upset or glad that you bought them instead of us?

Sigurdsson has shown Glimpses
of what he can do but has never really been given game time or a good run of games to fit into our system. I'm happy with the signing though.

Dempsey is possibly the most overated player in the premiership. Everytime he starts he manages to give the ball away at least 5/6 times a game which is annoying. If I was in charge I'd sell him asap in January.

Who said Cavani is useless? Your off your rocker my son, he is exactly what we need. Knowing Levy though we will end up with a last minute deal for Connor Salmon, if he offers enough that is!

Who I think we should enquire about in Jan:

Soldado (Valencia)
Eriksen (Ajax)
Damiao (Internacional)

With Damiao, Levy should just offer £25m take it or leave it. He IS a world class player. He's young, powerful and has a lot of skill.

Soldado is a striker who plays on the shoulders of the last defender and bags a lot of goals. Maybe not this season yet but Valencia are underachieving as a whole. And with them currently in 9th in La Liga I can see a class striker like him wanting to move away for the right money. Also seeing as Valencia is a club riddled in debt. They've sold decent players like David Villa, David Silva, Juan Mata, Joaquin etc I believe they'll add Soldado to this list soon.

And Eriksen is a class player. Decent skill. He has a great eye for a pass and chips in with goals too.

The main problem with us at the moment is that we fail to control games like we did when we had Luka in midfield. We currently have no1 in the squad who can dictate the tempo or find a killer ball that takes out 2/3 players at once.
Our main priority should be a creative box to box midfielder who also has a hunger for goals, a winner and someone who plays for the shirt and the fans. Moutinho is the one in my eyes, would love Levy to reignight that flame. 26m is big money but he is well worth it in my eyes.

If, just if levy wants to make it a magical January...bring in Cavani & Moutinho. 55m for the pair?........well worth it. I just hope we don't make the same mistake as we did lady year. You have to spend big on world class talant I'd you are to achieve big things.

And there lies the problem Jermain . You put ' in Levy we trust ' trust to what ? Completely s**t on the supporters again ? Levy will not spend over £15 mill on a player full stop ! He has known for years we needed a top striker , yet oh look , Ade can come cheaply ! We needed a decent goalkeeper , luckily he got Brad on the cheap ! Admittedly we have got Lloris now , so cant moan there but Tight arse wont spend and if he does , it will be last minute and some one not needed !

Davo, I like the fact his willing to spend but I don't like the fact it's not on special players. His last minute panic buys are useless I have to admit.
He now needs to finaly put his foot down and spend big on 2 world class talants.
The Dempsey signing proved last minute panic buys don't work....what a waste of money.
