3 points in the bag but the defence is a shambles. if we were playing against a top side today we would have got hammerd. a new back 4 next season is a must I even think kyle walker has been poor. I would take scrappy wins now till the end of the season to push on and get in the top 4 coys

Walker has been very poor since he came back!

It's not as simple as the back 4.
When the fullbacks, Rose and Walker, bomb forward no one, Townsend and Chadli, drops back to cover. So when the opposition wins posession attacks fast the center backs are stretched wide, leaving space every where.
Add to that we have almost 70% posession against many of our opposition and yet they often have more shots and more shots on goal. Which suggests we are doing very little with all that posession, is this an issue with our midfield (within which I include our wide players).
And the common denominator is not our back 4, but our lack of competent wide players that don't help out in defense and are ineffective going forward.

Our Defence has been a disaster all season and today has been the worst yet. 2-0 at home to the bottom club and now 2-2 and could be worse. Please, please, sign some real defenders for next year or we will struggle again. Top four? We were deluding ourselves. I am disgusted and deeply disappointed.

6 clean sheets in the league all season says everything.
Be interested in peoples opinions on why.
We have one of the best keepers in the league.
Our back 4 are not bad players. are they just not performing?
Do our tactics leave us open - with our flying wing backs do we leave too many holes?
Is bentaleb capable of protecting the back 4?
Interested in thoughts.
Never seen wimmer play but hope he is a good aquisition and not another chiriches

Northern I think vertonghen wants out of the club that's why he has gone missing all season. walker does not look the same player he was a few years back. eric dier well his surname answers that question. rose is crap full stop. I would like us to sign mussacio from villareal and I also think song from west ham would do a good job protecting the back 4

We were linked with him last year but the ownership complications stopped it. Has that changed. Song is class always has been but is he available

Raver, very sorry but you are sooo negative its unreal. Dier is a very good player and will only get better. Playing along side a player that's wants to leave is difficult for anyone. Verts was responsible for 2 goals yesterday, he has been poor all season. Walker has only just come back from a long lay off and will need a full pre season to get back to full fitness, then we will see the best of walker again, left remains a massive issue rose has got better but not good enough and Davies doesn't seem to suit MoPo. Wimmer looks good but is still young and raw. An experienced CB and left back will sort the defence out benteleb, I think is improving every game the only thing tht worries me with him and mason in that position is they are both light weight. Think a big strong player with bentaleb, would help, ideally a player with a bit of a nasty streak who can scruff a game and the team when needed. Just my opinion though.
COYS, 8 games left, will settle for scruffy wins until the end. Start again next season

Thfc I am a realist. if you think dier is a good player then I would love to be your wife as you seem easy to please. i'm not negative just saying the truth, the back 4 has been so poor. everytime we go on the field I know the opposition will score at least 2 goals but I know mopo will addres this problem in the summer coys

Raver, i'm not the only 1 who thinks he's any good, Tony Adams as much as I hate him wasa quality CB and he has said dier is a very good player and future england CB, verypts has said he is one the best he has olayed with. So dont think he is bad as you make out, he is just playing in a poor defence.

Just quick one, to everyone going to the game today let's make sure we get fully behind the boys and Mopo for 90 mins, we have to forget last weekends debacle, one last push for top 4, only a win will do so let's make the difference in the right way, 9 games, 9 cup finals, believe, COYS
