Use our rumours form to send us spurs transfer rumours.

Spurs came out with a statement today rubbishing a certain tabloid story. We have a board that makes decisions on transfers, avb, levy and baldini was also on that board. That's what they said. Wow there are more persons at spurs apart from them 3 that blew £100 mil. We are officially a laughing stock of football

Most people (including many rival fans) were saying how great our signings were at the end of August. I was pleased with them but I didn't buy into people saying it would make us more of a team without Bale.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are great signings, they need to play together to gell, and they need to play in their proper positions with the proper service, then they will click into gear! It's not a disaster yet, providing who ever manages starts using the players properly!
But please, whoever you might be, Dawson and Naughton are useless and not up to the job, Defoe isn't a team player as he is only interested in himself, and Ade is a money grabbing judas!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dawson is not useless, and you are blind for saying that. You are not taking into account the styles of players within a position. Not every CB or ST is the same type of player.

Dawson is a great 18 yard box defender, often making last ditch tackles, blocks, and clearances. He's strong in the air and his positioning is excellent.

A high line does not suit him, but that does not make him useless. That's like putting a ton of high crosses into a small striker and claiming he is useless because he cannot jump that high.

It's called teamwork Davo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Daws is pretty strong in the air and in a tackle but he gets turned and roasted one-on-one all the time, including in tight situations in the box. He's not having enough good games for a long time now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough point Wulf, but he still isn't good enough for us! Any good forward with pace that runs at Daws will succeed 90% of the time! Watching him turn is like watching a ocean liner turning in the thames, with the same speed! Once the ball is past him, that's game, set and match to the forward! Plus, with the ball at his feet, let's look up and see who is 50 yards up the pitch, oh dear, pass hasn't quite made it! Still I suppose he looks up when he tries to pass, that's a bonus!

Agree0 Disagree0

We should of sold Dawson last season for the 10m offered, was it Qpr? Hopefully Harry will want him. He has been a good servant for us but he simply ain't good enough.

Another Toon fan coming in peace,

I also think that AVB was a bad sacking. He got players he didn't want, he didn't get enough ti me to get use to the new players.

I know most will disagree with me here but I think you should stay with Sherwood or get Avram Grant or Di Matteo as interim.

Avram grant did very well at Chelsea and his last club, he failed at the other English clubs because simply there squads were not good enough.

Best Of luck for the rest of the season by whoever you are managed by.

Matt, we don't need Chavski rejects mate!

Hi guys toon fan in peace.

Sacking AVB was a big mistake, a big big mistake. But sacking old 'arry was an even bigger mistake. He was what gave you that heart, soul and passion at your club and was turning you into a top top team. i'm a massive fan of redknapp and I think you should of stuck with him. But that's the past, now its about who will replace AVB. Levy is fickle, and quite frankly a lot of you spurs fans are when you say that you were pleased with the sacking, but of course all most nearly every football fan is fickle. Chadli, chrches (spelling) soldado were NOT the signings that AVB wanted, they were baldinis. And that's one of the major problems with directors of football. you can't expect 7 new signings, no matter how good they are, to settle in and become superstars overnight.
People on here are saying they'd like De Boer, just tell me, why would he come? He's currently at Ajax who are currently a way bigger club and a lot more successful. Di Matteo, I don't rate, he didn't prove himself at west brom and he used defensive negative tactics to win chelsea the champions league. Bring 'arry back? if I was a spurs fan i'd love him back, but there's just no way he's going to work under Levy again. Capello? i'd be LMAO if he came to spurs lol Sherwood? Well, why not give him a try and give him time? You never know.

good luck with the rest of the season

Fully Agree.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares who brought Chiriches he is quality, what's the problem?

Ajax might have a prestigious past and be the big team in Holland but they aren't as big as Tottenham, maybe that's because of The Premiership but spurs is a step up as Newcastle would be a step down!

Avb had to go ge was proven at Chelsea to be predictable and was the same atspurs aswell as the bizarre substitutions and team selection.

Agree0 Disagree0

That is just bizarre for you to say that spurs are a bigger club than Ajax

Agree0 Disagree0

Geordies are bizarre. Jan Vertonghen in his peak years decided to take a step down yes?! And Eriksen did too? When your lucky run comes to a halt soon and its ' cockney mafia out' will you be on the spurs pages trying to belittle us?

Agree0 Disagree0

I forgot how deluded and personic spurs fans are. May I remind you, that newcastle are equally as big as spurs if not bigger. Just another london club spuds is. And why did Ajax sell eriksen and vertonghen? Because they take the money and just replace them with a player from the youth academy. They don't need to spend money. Tottenham fans are only blinded by the fact of the money they have and the squad that REDKNAPP developed, but what did you do with him? You sacked him. Fickle and deluded you spurs fans are. 'AVB had to go was proven at chelsea to be predictable and the same at spurs' AVB had too much pressure, and he was bound to go with abramovich's command to get rid of the old players. And also can I remind you, that AVB had the better win percentage between him and harry redknapp! LOL goodbye

Agree0 Disagree0

Jtoon, not going to get into a row whether my clubs bigger than yours but ' Arry developed the squad ' . Sorry mate, but Arry might have been the front man but most of the work was done by Joe Jordan and the others! Arry loved being the Face, but was tactically clueless! He also thought that he something else when the England job was up for grabs, in fact like adebayor, he was just a Judas!

Agree0 Disagree0

JToon
Newcastle are a big club but not bigger than Spurs. Same at best but when it comes to honours Newcastle are nowhere near and, if you weren't geographically isolated then you wouldn't even have as many fans!

Agree0 Disagree0

JToon, you Newcastle fans definitely have the biggest bellies, I'll give you that.

Agree0 Disagree0

And sitting watching football at a stadium without a top on when it's 0degrees isn't hard, it's stupid!

I just can't help but feel that the real problem that our beloved club has not progressed as it should is due to a certain Mr Daniel Levy.

Anyone else agree?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree we expect year by year steady progress instead every 2 years we start shuffling the pack. With levy there the managers job I feel is getting less appealing to quality managers out there as levy just like disrupting things

Ed Didn't levy try this before Harry with santini and arnesen. We was sitting at the foot of the table. Harry came in and showed levy the old Sokol way. So why do this all over again? Question can the board vote him out or is he too connected at the club?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't understand your point or question.}
