Strange timing!
Funny how he says sorry when he wants us to buy his book.
He will say anything if there is a buck in it for him

Agree0 Disagree0

He wanted to get back at the board of the club and all he did was deeply hurt the fans. He could've gone to any club in the world and went there.

Spurs were unlucky not to get a point and perhaps should have won, but they DIDN'T.

It always hurts to lose to Arsenal, but let's put things in perspective.

In recent years we have had a decent home record against them and some of our performances have been a lot better than the one on Sunday. However, I cannot recall us ever dominating the entire 90 minutes so completely, so I am not too unhappy about the actual performance.

Of course we need more goals. That is partly a problem of our overall style and partly a problem of the strikers. Back in November I looked at the performances of the other strikers we were linked with in the summer. Here is an update:

David Villa is currently on 11 goals in 24 league appearances (0.45 per game) and 13 in 31 overall (0.42). To justify paying £10m plus for a man who is now 32, I think we would have needed a somewhat better return than that. I'm glad that one didn't happen.

Michu has struggled with injury and is currently on 2 goals in 12 league games (0.17) and 6 in 19 overall. Neither the number of appearances nor the strike rate would have solved any problems for us.

Benteke has a better looking 9 in 23 league games and 10 in 25 overall (0.4) but again this does not look like justifying a £25m fee.

Bony has 10 in 23 league games (0.43)and 19 in 36 overall (0.5), while Loic Remy has 8 in 15 league games (0.5) and 13 in 24 overall (0.54).

They would probably have been the best of the available buys, but neither look significantly better than Adebayor. He has 8 goals in 15 league games (0.53) and 11 in 19 overall (0.58), although he has dried up in recent games.

This just shows how difficult it is to find a top quality goal-scoring striker that might take us forward. Above all, it is not a question of money. We paid a record-smashing £26m for Soldado, but it hasn't done the trick. He has just 6 goals in 24 League games (0.25) and 11 in 31 overall (0.35).

So why do people persist in saying that Levy could have solved the problem by just opening his cheque book?

KM, he needs to open his cheque book to get a proper manager . To get that proper manager he will have to offer a transfer kitty, so give the money . Under no circumstance should TS be there for next season, and I wouldn't trust him in the transfer market . Some of the romours already are frightening, Milner, oh please! Our total spend was minimal after the Bale money, so there is cash!

Konoplyanka wouldn't be a bad start would it.

Dynipro owner has apparently come out and said we are very close to sign the winger Liverpool tried to get on tdd
Typical levy if true playing FIFA with our club.
Get a manager in and let him choose the players according to his system formations etc

Or their owner may of just said this to scare Liverpool and to make them come back in for him.
