I really fear for the future of this club if we are already getting rid of players who have never been given a chance!

Capoue to me has looked good when he plays so why sell him?

Lamela just has never been giving proper game time.

Holtby is the only one besides Eriksen that can pass a ball and unlock defences and can also score! He too has never been given a proper run!

On another note, hope Tim is gone in the summer. Should never have been given the job and has not got a clue what he is doing!

Think it's a bit unfair that people are reading the papers and judging a mans job from stories that are usually a load of rubbish anyway

He's picked up 13 from 15 points, getting to know the players which he has openly said several times.

Lamela has also been injured, think he might be a bit of a problem boy as well, although I really do want to see what he can do on a weekly basis

Agree0 Disagree0

He can compete with Kalou for a place! Jesus Daniel, you really don't want CL this year do you! Surely Baldini has some say in this although targets mentioned its hard to believe!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can only hope Baldini is busy working on something worthwhile and not any of the media rumors or his role becomes even more suspect to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner here in peace. clankers, imo spurs were going nowhere under avb and looked a poor poor team. read somewhere that just based on sherwoods league games (albeit not many) but spurs would be top. he's also handling big personalities so not really sure what more anyone could want from him. ps he's also playing more attractive football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clankers, tell us why Tim hasn't got a clue then? I think he is doing a fine job so far and I hope he keeps the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Belly, he's not doing that bad a job but we haven't played anyone of note yet! I like that we are more attack minded, but against a team with a good strong midfield, like city, we could get absolutely pulverised . We need Sandro / Capuoe, playing in front of the back four which doesn't include Dawson . Then 3 across the middle with two up front . This would firm up the middle providing our other mid fielders chased back . I do think that Sherwood has a problem with big name players . He is a down to earth person and admits that effort is better than skill, and he picks his team around that . Another problem is that Levy is not going to back him in the transfer market as much as a big name manager unless Baldini gets involved, and they don't get on!

Agree0 Disagree0

Baldini and Levy sign the players, Sherwood coaches them hence why he is a coach.

Agree0 Disagree0

So Spurski, is that why Tim has gone on record saying he has the biggest say in who we buy and who gets sold . I think he thinks he's the manager!

Agree0 Disagree0

Davo, I get what your saying and don't disagree but if Baldini wasn't still in charge of transfers then he would have been let go when AVB went. Sherwood is a coach and he identifies players he wants and Baldini works on signing said player or someone similar.

Personally I'm hoping he gets replaced end of season and someone of note comes in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs1985, I hope Baldini is in charge! I think Tim is a good coach but not ready yet!
Then again, would Baldini be looking at Kalou, I don't think so and hope not!

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole coach/manager vs DOF role confuses me at Spurs . It seems admittedly based on media reports that there is not consensus on who to bring in . Tim is linked with players that I can't see Baldini looking twice at . The issue was apparently there last summer with AVB also . how did we end up with so many "similar" midfield players? I understand rotation, but the players bought in last window did not provide cover for rotation . LB being the obvious position.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davo, agree with you about Sherwood, not proven and no disrespect to him but he doesn't deserve the job as he clearly didn't get it on merit (although can't fault him based on results so far).

As regards to your comment about Kalou I'd say that it's Levy who has identified him as he's cheap. Only speculating but sounds like Levy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davo.
You really talk utter gash. " we haven't played anyone of note yet ". So winning at Old Trafford is easy then yeh? I'm all for reading banter posts but when they make no sense & belittle THFC it infuriates me.
Do you moan constantly about everything? AVB was a one truck pony. Tim has now shown he can change tactics & team selection.
Just top your glass up a little so it's half full and enjoy spurs winning 16 from 18 pts and 5 away games on trot. !

Agree0 Disagree0

Well wildly, are we the only ones to win at old Trafford, no, and we won't be the last! Add to that we were overrun in the second half, and just held on! Like I said, let's see what happens in the next game, who starts and if city start to overrun the midfield, what changes are made during the game! This will be more of a test than going to old Trafford!
