Man United fan here in peace.

Just wanting to congratulate you guys on some very good business this summer. In my eyes, the best buy made by any PL club so far is Paulinho, he looks very good. I don't think you will be challenging for the title this season, but, if you allow the players a season to settle then you will be very strong 2014/15 in my eyes.

I think Bale is all but gone but I honestly don't think you will miss him hugely. He is a good player but if Levy can get anywhere close to £80m+ for him then he has done fantastically well. You now have the players needed to create/score goals from different areas which will replace Bales contribution easily. I'm just hoping his sale brings Ronaldo back to us but definitely not holding my breath on that one :-)

Anyway good luck next season fella's, apart from the 2 games against us of course.

So with our new acquisition of Etienne Capoue in mind does this mean that if at any point this season we are without verts and daws we would have at the heart of our defence kaboom and capow aka the dynamic duo? {Ed008's Note - Yes it might just happen!

Sunderland fan here is bale going or what yous must be sick by now see yove got another signing today do you know if Sunderland are after sigersson eny spurs ed? Thx good look this year c'on you spurs! {Ed008's Note - I don't think Sunderland are interested in Sigurdsson considering you've signed Giaccherini and have Sessegnon in that position.

No, hopefully we keep Siggy as he's a quality squad player who is still young but wouldn't be surprised to see Rose at Sunderland next year, unfortunately. Good luck for the coming season.

What a fantastic squad we have assembled, if we keep bale, title contenders if not top 3

Capoue is also cover for defence plus we are replacing the not so good mids for class mids so it is not as if we are adding more replacing

One thing I think we have been short sighted on before is that we go for a first XI and not a squad. A few injuries last year (Sandro, Defoe when he was in peak form, Lennon, Dembele niggles for much of the second half of the season) saw us short in some key games - especially with Europe to contend with.

Now we are building a squad that can keep players fresh. Dembele / Sandro / Paulinho / Capoue have the central 2 mids locked down, with the latter also being able to cover CB (I think he will start here whilst Verts is injured). It allows us to sell Hudds, Parker and loan out Livermore without leaving us short. Also those 4 allow us to play a traditional centre 3 in a 4-3-3 formation giving us options.

Slightly further up we have Holtby and Siggs in centre mid. Lennon and Townsend on the right (although I expect the latter to be sold and replaced), and Chadli on the left. Bale of course can also play wide if he stays.

At the back leaves us only short of quality of LB, although we do have 2 players that can play there (plus Naughton in a scrape). At CB we have Verts, Daws, and Kaboul, with Capoue able to cover. Possibly one short of a full squad hence the interest in Toby A.

Building a great squad here. Exciting times.

Well it's fair to say that I am not a fan of the BIG RED AIA sponsor for our cup games. (Wouldn't be upset to see us knocked out of the firsr round of each cup just to spare my eyes)

If my beloved Spurs won a cup I wouldn't give a f**k what colour the sponsor was!

To Mr unnamed. First of all please do as you're told and register, then take note. It was a joke! {Ed008's Note - Lol

The longer the Bale saga goes on the more I actually think that him leaving might be a good thing for the club.

1. He seems set on a move to Real and in my mind would never give 100% if we stopped him from moving.

2. We became to reliant on him last season and with the quality we have added so far this summer there are match winners all across the pitch.

3. We have broken our transfer record twice in one window so the money was obviously there to spend so if we do sell Bale ( I don't believe Levy spent that money in the hope that the Real deal does materialise) then we will have even more to spend. Come January players like Eriksen will have less than 6 months on their contracts if they are still with their respective clubs so their value will have dropped drastically or their clubs could lose them for nothing and we will have plenty in the transfer kitty from the Bale deal.

To sum up what I am trying to say, sure Bale would improve any team in the world and the boy is a truly exceptional footballer, 3rd best in the world IMO but do we really want someone playing for us who really doesn't want to be there when he could be replaced by someone who wants to be part of the AVB revolution and part of the long term plan that Bale clearly doesn't.

I think Bale is happy to stay for many reasons, plus I think he loves spurs. But I also agree he would love a move to Madrid, which players wouldnt? I don't think anyone can blame him for that they are one of, if not the biggest club in the world.

Personally I think its a win win situation for spurs, we have done some great business and don't look like we've finished just yet. If Bale stays I think we'll be title contenders, if he goes we still have more than enough to challenge for the top four plus we'll have £80-100m to continue strengthening.

Very excited for the season, can't wait for it to begin now! COYS

Capoue confirmed. An excellent signing and still time before the big kick off to get integrated with the lads. A solid LB and I'd be more than happy with our transfer activity. (and possibly Erickson).

I think adebayor may be of some use this season. Its down to him now, I seen him play really well to really poor.

Agreed, being second or third choice will force him to prove himself in training. If he earns a spot then good for him. I think he and defoe could be excellent supersubs. I would rate our striking department as very low transfer priority now, on par with selling/upgrading a gomes/friedal.

Or he may just sit on the bench and sulk and collect his excessive pay check.
