Question though. Considering we usually play arry's favourite 4-4-2. With Bale, VDV, Lennon, Modric, Parker where exactly would Hazard fit in? He's too expensive to warm the bench so where would he play? Can't see them putting Bale on the bench? Also Hazard is naturally a right footed player so would they place him on the right and sit Lennon out, or VDV out? Or push VDV to play upfront with Saha/JD and put him on the right?

We have some real quality players but can't keep them warming benches as eventually they'll leave looking for first team football. I mean when Lennon is out they push VDV wide but that makes him ineffective in the game as you can see he's not comfortable as he is playing closer in as AM. Kranjcar will eventually get fed up of being a secon choice as he's starting to find his feet since VDV injury.

Sorry to ramble on but what's your opinions guys?

He would probably replace lennon, which is a shame because I love the guy. He can also play no.10 if rafa gets injured (as seems to happen a lot)

Agree0 Disagree2

Hazard wants right wing.bye bye lennon!

ESSEX YOD

Agree0 Disagree2

I wouldn't mind selling kranjcar if we buy hazard...

But in all seriousness, we'd probs put bale left, hazard right, parker and modric in the middle, then vdv and a striker up front (can't see us buying adebayor, but think we'll get someone else). Then, lennon will probs come on for bale, hazard or vdv, with either bale or hazard moving into VDV's position.

Agree1 Disagree2

Saha is not necessarily going to be with us next season anyway as only signed on a short term deal.

After the demolition I can see us going all out to get Ade and if the large 'war chest' is correct there will be another striker on the way.

In answer to your original question, how do Barcelona/Madrid etc keep all there top players happy, myself I haven't got the foggiest, but it will be good finding out..

Agree0 Disagree2

Although i don't want to get carried away with the hazard rumours i can't help imagining the team next season. if he does sign (still a big if) i can see a 4-2-3-1 with (from right to left) lennon-hazard-bale being the best option. this boy is unbelievably good, as a talent he blows bale out the water imo, i'd give him the no.10 role and say 'go and play' cos this kid has got the lot.

Away from the dreaming, why would Hazard join Spurs? Joining Spurs is as good as remaining with Lille, at least Lille recently won the championship and played in the champions League. Spurs are a one season wonder, the decline begins at the Emirates.

P gunner

Gareth Bale is better than Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshire combined.

100% Hazard has agreed personal terms with us,the clubs have yet to agree a fee though. What a message that sends out, considering the clubs that are chasing him.Well done mr Levy.

Not being able to and not being willing to are two very different things. It is obvious that with the ever inreasing wages and given how well we are doing on the pitch that we need to rethink our structure if we are going to push on. While others have been spending like mad over the last 5 or so years, we have been putting money aside. Enter Fifas fair play on money rules that are coming. While others will be forced to cut back we will go from strength to strength and will be able to compete on wages terms. Levy is a very clever man. He knows this. Our wage structure is already ring adapted for Modders and if we can do it for him, we can do it for Hazard.

The glory days at the lane are fast returning my fellow (long suffering) yids. And I can't wait!

Flippit {Ed003's Note - The FFP rules only started this year and take an average over 3 years, so dont get ahead of yourself just yet, but good look anyway you are playing some good footie }

Ye are very close to signing david platt on loan from man city as yer next manager..its just a matter of getting city to fun most of the deal
big dickey

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Ha ha , its the resident gooner comedian making his appearance , or is it the whole Arsenal team , as they are just comedians . Still by sunday dickey will have even more to laugh at as 'the arse ' will be out of the FA cup , and trailing to Milan in the champions league , Hoorah .
Davo

Agree1 Disagree4

The deal for platt has fallen through as man city would not pay 90 per cent of his wages to go on loan as spurs manager...
