Have had nightmares since I mentioned Cappello in previous post but now I am starting to get really worried, I am feeling a disturbance in the force that baldini will push for cappello after his world cup escapades there big mates this is a bit left field, but you never know with Levy have very bad feeling over this, probably Pochehtini or de boer must be done quickly and be over not drag on, please not cappello really have bad feeling about him no sleep again tonight .

I have a feeling that nothing will be decided until after the CL final. If Real lose, I can see ancelloti being available.
I honestly believe Manchester United are doing the same. I can see LVG and ancelloti being the managers of spurs and man utd. Not sure of the order though.

That made me chuckle, managers fighting for the spurs job.

After such a poor season, it was nice to end it on a high last night, was at kings testimonial, a great occasion and a fitting way to send off a true legend of our club!

i see the panto season as started at spurs I think sherwood should have had a crack at the job with his own signings I don't care who comes in I give up on the club we are a laughing stock I bet the boy who was on the bench at villa will be our new manager the longer levy is there the less I will support the club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We really need to stop following this media driven "his own signings" BS.

1. Being a good tactician means knowing how to get the best out of what you have. That's literally the definition of tactics.

2. If you cannot judge the strengths and weaknesses of the players you see day in day out in training then how can you be relied upon to judge players from other teams? That is to say if you play your own players out of position what will getting in other players help with?

3. Sherwood admitted that Levy offered him a transfer kitty to make new signings if he wanted. Sherwood refused saying he had a team of superstars. A month later when things started to go wrong he started looking for excuses and blamed the players.

4. Look at the long long list of managers who have done a good job with a team that was mostly not their own signings.

saints fan here
maybe levy thinks spurs are a big club
maybe they never will be maybe spurs need another chairman because they are running out of managers as every one they appoint gets maybe 20 games and gets the sack and move onto the next one

Spurs have a waiting list for season tickets of around 45,000, I would say that's a big club.

Rafa for me. Might get the best out of saldado etc
Knows the prem, cl, etc etc.
Would stable the club pretty quick on the pitch.
Run away candidate for me.
Baldini also out plz.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mgr Totally agree with you 100%. Rafa in Baldini Out, simple . job done a proven winner. After what he did at Chelsea he would be a saviour for us. And Mr Levy justy in case any of your mates read this can we please offer Chelsea £20 mil for Ashley Cole? He has two good years left in him and we need a proper Captain a leader on the pitch, let's get in now before he gets nabbed. and don't sell Paulinho. he will come back to haunt us if you do.

£20m for a player out of contract? Good plan!

Bye bye Tim, why doesn't Levy appoint Steve Staunton or someone of his calibre? Surely it's worth a go.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wow, for a gooner that's quite funny! Thought it had been a long time since one showed up on our page! Still when Hudd and Livermore, ( second string Spurs ) destroys them at Wembly they won't be so cocky!

Thanks for the poll Eds . Wow, six people beat five, how many times did Hass press that button but fair enough, I won't mention K**e again for 3 months!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I had to do that poll to see the answer to that. I have read so many back and forth discussions on him, and I personally can't make up my mind on him. At times he has looked woeful, others he looks like he does have potential. It is difficult to tell at this age, some players develop much slower, some get thrust into the limelight too soon and lose the hunger and desire that is needed.}

Ha.
I never voted Davo (am sure the Eds can confirm this). Plus, think it is more like 11 people beats 9.
In all honesty, I don't rate him all that highly. Just don't like to see young players with potential getting abused by impatient fans.
I remember the same thing from Arsenal fans two years ago with Ramsey, saying he should be sold etc. All he needed was a full season from his injury, and look at him now.
Am not saying Kane will be anywhere near Ramseys standard BUT I do think there will be better to come from him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davo, I voted yes for Kane. I did so meaning yes he can be good enough more than he is good enough now (as this wasn't an option).
I think it's fair to say he's looked good for us when given the chance even if he hasn't set the world alight. Your sarcastic remark aimed at Hass could also be aimed at yourself with your blind negativity towards the young player.
I have never rated Kane up until very recently as he's never shown any real quality but atleast be fair, he has looked well at home since given a chance. I know you get a idea then stick with it regardless of what's actually happening but try to be a bit more open mined as things in football can change very quickly. A prime example like Hass said is Ramsey who was at fault everytime Arsenal lost according to their fans and now look at him. Can I just ask, what is it about Kane that you really dislike? He's a young English, homegrown striker who of late has been getting goals and linking up well with the team, what has he done wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, a protector for you Hass . 1985, for your information, my comment about Hass was a joke as me and him have had discussions about Kane before! Yes we have a young homegrown striker who has scored a few goals that Arry's miss us couldn't have missed, who has missed more chances in these games than he hit the target with and who runs around the field like a headless chicken trying to escape . I have never said he is a bad player, just not good enough for Spurs and never will be unless we are happy with a top ten place! The way we have been playing lately, anyone would look good playing CF! Going back to Ramsey, he was a good young player to start with who lost his way, Kane wouldn't get in the Spurs team if we hadn't have had a manager who liked to play headless chickens! And to put my neck on the line, when the new manager takes over, next season Kane won't be a regular then either!
Ps! Hass, I am sorry for being sarcastic, please call your attack dog off or I won't be able to sleep at night!

Agree0 Disagree0

The absolute truth Davo is that nobody at this point can tell where Kane's career is going.
Ed got it spot on with his comments, "he's looked woeful but has also showed potential. But some players develop much slower" (sorry for quoting you Ed)
The chances he scored were easy goals is basically your point, right? How many chances has Soldado had that a five year old could've scored? Why no constant bad comments as regards to him? Because he's the "big" name you crave as a fan, hence all your negativity to Levy when he was not buying "stars".
If he's up front, linking well with his strike partner and scoring 20 goals a season then what more could he possibly do to appease you Davo? Going back to my original point it seems the answer to that question is simply, you! You go on about it like the Oracle goes on about Damaio and I never read a well thought out meaning behind a fair amount of your insults you aim at our players, staff and board. Maybe it gets lost in context.
Anyway I enjoyed reading your reply it showed a lot of maturity, it's good to have a discussion with an adult. Woof woof!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Kane has some potential, but the issue is that we've been sitting on 3 strikers for a long time now and, even when Defoe was striker number 3, many of us still thought we were short of top quality options to push on. Now Kane is striker number 3 you can do the maths easily, he is not good enough for that position yet and we shouldn't be gambling that he might be 'one-day' like we gamble on managers and second rate, make-shift left backs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with you Simmo! But back to you 1985, no I am not the sort that has to have ' big name signings ' even though that is nice! What I want is for my team to play football, not lump it forward to the head of a old fashioned centre forward and hope . For all Arrys faults, he played football . I think the stats show that since TS took over, Lloris kicked it long over and over rather than play it out . Yes I like Soldado, because he is a footballer, pure and simple . Ade, can do this just, Kane can't . Also I am happy to praise when it's deserved, but it may be a fault, but I want the best for my team . As for Levy, I have moaned about him not spending money like 90% of this site, but he doesn't have to buy big names, just proper footballers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Simmo, my point was exactly that, he has potential and if he is happy to wait his turn then we should offer the same patience as fans. If he isn't then let him go nobody will lose sleep over it.
Davo, you say you like Soldado because he is a footballer. Well I like strikers who score goals as that's their job pure and simple. With Soldado up front we struggled for goals so in turn we struggled to win games. In all honesty would you not prefer to win games?

Agree0 Disagree0

True, but then TS played to Kane's strengths, a long hoof and hope! Soldado has never been played with the players needed or to his strengths . If we get a manager who plays free flowing football then we will see the real player!

Looking back now the season is over( thank god)
Who thinks ts is unlucky.
Again mr levy hires someone to front his mistakes and this Time it was ts.
Poor bloke got given a job of a life time yet was going to get the chop regardless.
Ok mr levy sack him give him a good pay off again like all the rest and get who, which is not a gamble?
Rafa? The crowed after 2 months will start booing.
De b? No experience in the prem
Potochino?(spelling) he dnt have the players to play the saints way

Tbh I'm not bothered who we get or if Tim stays now.
I'm more pizzed off the the manager dnt get to sign his own players to play the system he believes in and not sacked after a year to 18 months.

What has levy really done in the last 6-7 years.
The money he spent he recouped it with selling our super stars, spent millions on sacking managers and wanted to take us to the Olympic stadium.have I missed any positives out?
I see Chelsea started early! Costa 32mil .

Without being Biased, Rafa would be a good pick, Considering he is still a pretty good manager.
He has got Experience and is a winner. His transfer at times aren't good, But then With Levy Incharge, No manager would get a say on the transfer.
Rafa organises the team well, He isn't the best Fluid free flwoing football, But So Does Jose isnt.
If it coems down between FDB, Rafa and Pochhetino, Rafa is stil rated high across Europe.
Rafa would defo bring some players from spain.

Sorry for the long post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard to say we don't have players that can play in mopo's style.

For the most part we haven't played the ones we have in their correct roles in the last 12-18 months.

The defense needs rebuilding, the midfield needs to be deployed correctly, up front we probably need someone but for some reason I still have faith in Soldado.
