If AVB goes to PSG for 10 mil and he takes Bale for 90mil we get 100 mil, bring in Laudrup from Swansea, top manager plays excellent football with loads of contacts and credibility in the game could be a long term appointment let him spend big and he will continue to play the nice attractive footy we all love at the Lane. Just seemed to me that at the end of last season we were so reliant on Bale scoring that it might be worth cashing in while he is so good and valuable then we can rebuild with a team ethic instead of an basing it around an individual.
Just a thought

Question: Mario Gomez or Damiao?
Knowing levy, Saha!
Mario Gomez all day. Proven international striker. Won everything with Bayern, maybe a move to London and the premier league would interest him?
Damiao. Gomez is a donkey. {Ed008's Note - You again lol
I'd be happy with damiao only if David Villa came with him.
Damiao - Potential
Villa & Defoe- experience.
Gabriel.
Gomez all day long, proven goal scorer and bloody consistent.
Gomez with his track record and the reported price would be a great punt for us (almost every signing has some risk attached).

Gomez is the better striker but he will not join a club that cannot offer CL.
Chelsea are showing some interest in Gomez
I would think Gomez would want playing time. that might be a bit restricted at Chelski with them trying to sign every breathing player available.
Gomez for me.

Living in my dream world if we could afford to, players who perhaps we would have a realistic chance of signing.
Gomez 15 - 20m
Isco 25 - 30m
Bernard 10 - 15m
Erikkson 15 - 20m
That would be sum team
If Bale was sold for a world record fee it could be possible. i'm sure Levy would be forgiven if those players were bought as his replacements.
My dream world involved these 4 with bale in the side 2 :)
Isco's available for about 15 million, whether we can tempt him is another story.
Isco has said he would like to work with Pelligrini which basically means he is greedy and wants loadsa money.
Time to inject a dose of realism:
Gomez will go to Napoli/Fiorentina when if Cavani or Jovetic leave or could end up at Chavski due to their interest in some strikers not being viable. Even with Bale money, we might outbid Fiorentina or Napoli but Chavski won't drop out easily in a race to sign a world class player. Not to mention his wages would be a problem and no CL football is not at all attractive for someone like him.
Bernard has said he doesn't want to leave Brazil for at least one season and before has said his ideal destination is Chavski before most recently being linked to Dortmund who could still both outbid us.
Isco as said above will join Manchester $hitty because he wants money and to play under Pellegrini again. Also Barcelona, Chavski and PSG all would have interest so we couldn't outbid them and wouldn't be as attractive an option.
Finally Erikson wants a move to Spain and keeps running his contract down t o get it and as a result Ajax will probably sell to PSG or Dortmund for a lower fee with the player himself hoping to attract a move to Spain in the future by playing in the CL.
The valuations are all off also, I suspect Gomez will be more than that especially if a bidding war starts. Isco will be £23 million tops. Bernard has a 40 million euros buyout clause which we won't break and so he won't leave. Erikson doesn't want a non-CL move and will be about £14 million tops.
Not getting CL cost us badly because we planned for it.
Bale sale still likely though I think, especially for the bloated prices being banded around, think of all the money Levy will pocket! Only about 1/3 of it will be spent on players, most likely Alderweirld, Villa, Damiao and a few squad players.
Oxford Spur
Hi Oxfordspur
I think you're bang-on. Maybe Eriksen could be persuaded given how Modric and Bale show what a good shop-window we are.

So Man U hope RM sigh bale so they can get Ronnie back hows this for a smack in the mouth why don't we say RM you can have bale but we want Ronnie and cash. appy days and stuffs the Man u all in the same day. lol
As much as iw would love ronaldo to come to spurs, his wages will completely screw our wage strategy as we may have to offer him over 250k where most of our best players get around 80k
