By George have we got our spurs back? First time this season I've enjoyed watching us. No holding midfielders. Perfect experiment from avb.
Well done players and manager

That was a very entertaining watch!
Townsend first half on the left I thought was special and the sort of thing Soldado needs.

Hopefully Rose is fit for Sunday and was only taken off as precaution because you could see the difference in balance when he played

Agree0 Disagree0

Always helps when left footed players play in the correct position!

Who would adam and eve it, a team that hasn't scored in an average Russian league for 7 games scores against us! How many times does Holtby and Lamela want to give the ball away to and Townswnd is the definition of a headless chicken.

Agreed Davo about Soldado, give him chances in the box and he sscores. I do jot want to see Defoe against Liverpool.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Watch the game crafty and you'll realise we are playing a makeshift defence, or do you think our first choice back 4 is
Naughton, Capoue, fryers, Rose?
How many times these guys played as a back four do you think?
I've said many times that Some people will find anything to moan about, you prove my point, thanks!

Agree0 Disagree0

Read my post number85 I didn't mention the players you did. The players I mentioned were poor would you prefer if we ignored that and say how amazing they were in your blissful lil world. If I want to say something I will, there is nothing that a lil dogooder like you can do to stop me. Open your eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha rather than admit you were a little unfair with your comments you go on a incoherent rant.

Read my post again, I never mentioned anything about your opinions on the players performance. My comment was only directed at the sacastic remark about us conceding the goal, which I think if you consider the point I made was right and you were a little unfair.

So let's move onto your comments about me. You say about my blissful lil world, just because I can see through the anger when we lose and can see the positives out of a bad situation doesn't mean I'm unaware when things go wrong. My problem was with people asking for AVB to be sacked (you included I think) when we've actually had a good start to the season. Next you call me a dogooder, wow I'm hurt, your arsenal of insults is to unbearable so I've told my mum and the teacher so you best not do it again lmao!

You heard it here first guys, the evil villain Crafty Cockney cannot be stopped, even the dogooder 1985 is unable to stop him lmao.
Thanks for that crafty your comments really perked me up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yeah your points about the players was inaccurate aswell. Townsend played well on the left and Holtby was a good solid player up until he scored then he seemed to go missing. All three players you mentioned got a goal or an assist so they couldn't have ben that bad.

Back to my point, any reason to moan!

Agree0 Disagree0

Townsend on the left was class consistently beating his man and putting dangerous balls into the box

When he moved to the right after half time he went back to the 'headless chicken' frustrating Townsend. Him and Rose down the left and Walker and Lennon on the right with any of Lamela, Eriksen, Paulinho or Holtby central I believe will give us a potent attack

Agree0 Disagree0

Lamela was mostly tragic last night. Couldn't beat a man, pick a pass or finish. Nice touch for Soldado's second goal was about it but, you have to question the worth of a dead-rubber against a financially fractured and injury ravaged side a long way from home like Anzi. Definitely good for Soldado to net a hat-trick and get minutes into Rose and Eriksen, that's about all.

Agree0 Disagree0

You always slate others number 85 for their opinions. It's upto people what they want to write. I wasn't unfair i'm just being realistic. that's the way I see it, you see your way ( through rose coloured spectacles).

Agree0 Disagree0

That's the problem Crafty, people say thier opinion which nobody is willing to change or admit it was/is wrong. It's better when people come out wth thier ideas as people tend to change ideas.

If you want to hide behind the same old phrase then so be it but a valid argument would make you seem like you actually have a clue as to what your talking about.

So you claim you was being realistic? I'd bet money on most teams scoring against the defence we put out last night and I doubt many would disagree. Difference between me and you is I didn't say my opinion I said what was true but because it's against what you think, it's wrong. Read it again think about the SOLE point I was making then get back to me as you clearly still don't understand. Thanks

I have read what you wrote, I agree the back four was very weak (compared to first choice) and, the goal was irrelevant whatever the result because it was a dead-rubber game but, we conceded from a set-piece against a weak team which isn't the same as open-play and it's a fair comment to say that we've gone back to being pretty average defensively since the Man City game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed Simmo but the goal we conceded was down to poor defensive work by Naughton, a player who would not usually be part of the team. It has been worrying that our defensive record has been poor recently but also we've missed key players in this position and I hope when all are fit, the clean sheets will come again. Along with a more fluid attacking threat it could be a good new year for us spurs.
That said I do understand what your saying and I'm hoping the City game was a massive wake up call.

To some of you with the spurs reserve teams.
Do we not have another young keeper to come and play in games like this as brad is coming to the end and needs replacing. Station brad good shot stopper but always on the heels.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes we have a young lad called Jordan Archer. Still young though. Keeepers can play until they are 40+, so he has a long way in his career yet.

Looks very promising though!

Agree0 Disagree0

We also have Jonathon Miles who is very highly regarded.

Also, I thought Fredericks lastnight was very good when he came on. Right vack is a strong position for us as we have Adam Smith too.

Perhaps AVB will take note now, give Soldado the right service and he will score! Now play him sunday please!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, play Townsend on left, as he should be, stops him cutting in and shooting!

Agree0 Disagree0

Also stops him cutting in and putting in a beautiful pass for an assist but I agree he needs to cut out the shooting, will be a top player when his decision making improves.

Agree0 Disagree0

1985, playing on the right he doesn't cut in and pass as he proved when he went out to the right hand side! Keep him on the left where he should be, he isn't Bale!

Agree0 Disagree0

Davo I wasn't disagreeing with what you said. I'm 100% behind the idea of him playing on the left. It was a little joke as he set up Holtbys goal when he was playing on the right.

Why on earth is Dembele playing tonight! Has he not been carrying a hip injury and do we not have Liverpool on Sunday?

Avb baffles me!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dembele playing tells me that it's going to be a Paulinho - Sandro partnership sunday which I don't agree with.

With Liverpools injuries we need Dembele to keep the ball and drive us forward.

Although fantastic watching Townsend on the left maybe AVB will realise!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say the appearance of Townsend and Lamela last night means he'll be going with Lennon and Chadli again. I expect we'll start as we did last week at Sunderland, unless Chiriches is fit to play. Suarez will have a field day I think but hopefully we can expose them too.
