Hi all, thanks to the eds as always for the site. Will Pochetino leave Spurs this Summer? If so, is Inter Milan a serious option?

KingGiggsy

{Ed001's Note - he has said, both publicly and privately, that he is staying. Having said that, I don't believe he has had any offer to consider from Inter as of yet, so maybe they could convince him to change that if they did come in for him. Personally I don't see it happening.}

Thanks very much Ed.

Don't mind me lads, just popping in on my way to the Europa League gift shop.

Was wondering since there's a post about Pochetino. did Arsenal ever speak with him about replacing Wenger? He's obviously done a fantastic job at Spurs (sadly! ) and I hope we'd have a cheeky attempt at luring him over.

If, as he says, he wouldn't go to Barcelona because of his past with Espanyol - then I suspect the thought of him moving to the red part of north London is unlikely.

Gunner are you on something.

5.) 15 May 2017 22:01:54
I think the Europa will suit you. The CL was always a struggle for Arsenal.

6.) 16 May 2017 11:17:38
I don't expect him to move to Arsenal, was just wondering if we'd made an approach to him.

7.) 17 May 2017 13:30:51
gunnerfan1886 - You're as simple as Oddbod.! Are you his brother. Making comments like that.

8.) 17 May 2017 22:55:44
I think the Chelsea lad tommy B could be Oddbod?

Gunner we assume you are playing dumb with your tongue in cheek!

Not funny, and simply pathetic!

I bet you think Arsenal can recover next season by replacing Wenger with Pochettino and then signing Messi, Bale, Ronaldo, Alderwiereld, Jesus and De Gea.

Face it my boy, Arsenal are a Thursday night club if you can jeans in to Wenger, Sanchez and Ozil. Without this trio you will probably get Moyes and sign a few clowns and become a mid table club.

Start thinking realistically you are the new West Ham or Crystal Palace of London.

Totally in denial, ice berg collision and still dreaming you are unsinkable!

No need to assume anything guys. Wenger is leaving, Poch is doing well. It's not unreasonable to ask if Arsenal had made any attempt to get one of the best coaches in the league right now.

What I would say to you is don't make the mistake of thinking that finishing above Arsenal for the first time in forever (or challenging for the league in the last 2 years) changes the balance of power. Until you win a title (or a few FA Cups) and consistently get into the CL places, you're still the 3rd best club in London and the 5th best in the league.

Arsenal, who you seem to think is below your club now (lol) has spent the last 10 years kicking the ball with one leg. We have bags of money in the bank not being spent. We are missing out on massive players over a few million quid in fees and wages. No other club has been run in such a moronic way. And still we've been ahead of you until only this season, and ahead of all the other clubs at some point too (even those who spent 500 million on players) . Once Wenger goes I am sure you will see the club Arsenal can be and you will realise this.

P. S. It's hysterical that a guy called The Oracle is so blinded by bias. And Messi, Bale, Ronaldo, Alderwiereld, Jesus and De Gea? No, because I'm not blinded by stupidity.

Gunnersfan1886, LOL. You need a reality check. With your logic you should be putting Man Utd ahead of us as well, a team that has won the Premiership a few times since you last have. You've won a few fa cups big deal, even lil ole spurs didn't take that competition seriously for years.

Your academy is producing bang average players and the so called top players don't see you as a viable option, especially as you will be in the Europa League now. Just accept the facts and move on. Wenger is staying btw.

12.) 19 May 2017 10:03:42
Man United are ahead of us all. They're the most successful club in the country. Yes they have been atrocious recently, but that doesn't erase their achievements. Sure you have been excellent recently, but you've won nothing. You finished second in the league a couple of times. Even Liverpool have managed that and they spend most of their time outside the top four.

Our academy is bang average. Yes. Most academies are. That's why La Masia is considered special. You aren't exactly churning out Messi every season either. But we have some talented young players right now who have a good chance of being special (Nelson and Adelaide being the main two) .

Top players won't join us? We don't know that yet. They won't join you. We know that though. Two seasons won't make people suddenly think Spurs are better than Arsenal, unless they support Spurs.

13.) 22 May 2017 11:25:37
Gunnersfan1886, you are in danger of becoming a Spurs fan from the 1990s. We believed we were a player or two short of glory, had the history and believed we were near to glory.

The truth is just look at the Spurs players even recently that we used to have in our first XI. Defoe, Kaboul, Mason, Huddleston, Dawson and Livermore all played for the teams being relegated this year. Bentaleb, Carroll, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Capoue, Gomes, Naughton, Lennon and those shipped out like Soldado, Adebayor, Chiriches, Stambouli, Fazio etc.

The truth is until you realise that half your squad isn't good enough you will never recover. Only Koscielney, Cech, Bellerin, Sanchez and Ozil look good enough. Players like Walcott, Giroud, Welbeck, Ramsey, Monreal, Mustafi, Xhaka and the like are all average.

Ospina, Perez, Debuchy, Elneny, Martinez, Mertesacker, Iwobi, Coquelin and Paulista are hellishly weak.

Wenger will lose the cup final without Koscielney, and then he will professionally walk away. Sanchez will leave to Man City or another payroll heavyweight, Cazorla will never be the same following the injuries at his age, Ozil will jump ship and Koscielney 32 next season along with Mertesacker 33, Cazorla 33, Monreal 32, Giroud 31 and a whole host of player 27-30 who are unlikely to improve much at this stage in their career.

Without Champions League you won't even be able to attract stars, so you'll end up wasting the transfer funds for Sanchez and Ozil on average talent similar to you core. With Wenger you will finally realise how much he did for your club, and Europa League might even be ambitious with all that change.

Allardyce and Palace, and certainly Everton, West Ham and Man Utd will all fancy taking Europa off you boys. Mid table next year for Arsenal as they finish 9th.

Wait and see, darkness is coming!

Hahaha. Love it Oracle. No holding back. They do have the mighty Rob Holding though.
