So much for our special relationship! Can't say in surprised as it was only about Madrid getting what they wanted (Modric last year and Bale this). they've just omproved teonof our closes rivals - Can't see how we've benefited from it all.

Talk that the Coentrao to United loan deal wasn't done in time.

Shame, I was hoping that this might be the deal that could have been the final piece of the puzzle for us. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Coentrao is the finished article, but he's an upgrade on Rose, whose penchance for attack and lack of defensive nous exposed us for the goal on Sunday, and it's where we will be exploited all season. But anyway.

And can anyone tell me why a bid or an expression of interest in Baines wasn't even submitted.? Could have given us two English international fullbacks! Oh well, I don't seriously think any of us can have any gripes with the efforts and productivity during this window.

The goal was Dawsons fault . 1 for not holding the line and playing Walcott onside. He does this all the time as he is worried about his lack of pace, and 2 for losing Girroud when he darted to the near post. We need Kaboul back Asap.

Dawson should be 4th choice. Chiriches is much much better.

Whilst Dawson was not quick enough in tracking Giroud, it was Rose who was at fault, he was sucked inside and out of position and left Walcot in loads of space to pick out the ball, as previously said Rose is very poor defensively and we will be exploited time and again this season on the left.

It should never have got to that point if Dawson held the line that Walker, Vertonghen and Rose kept, the fact that Dawson was 2 -3 yards towards our goal allowed Walcott to beat the offside trap. Watch it again mate. What happened from that point does not matter as Walcott should have been offside from the ball put through by Ramsey. Dawson does this in every game and plays players onside all the time. He's a loyal player and good captain but I think we have out grown him.
