Write off tottenham, but we are rising

Kaka may sign for Tottenham, the option is there.

A striker will be signed in the summer of high quality (Benzema, Aguero or Llorente)

Also Srna could sign on a free at the end of the season, Corluka and Hutton could depart

If you seriously believe that Spurs couldnt afford to pay him over £100,000 a week then you are living in Cloud Cuckoo land. The club is wealthy, solvent and relatively debt free. Its fair to say that Spurs are only one of a handful of clubs who could afford that kind of wage.
I suspect that Deano95 pertains to the fact that you were born in 1995 making you a whole 16 years old. Perhaps you ought to grow up before you start making silly statements. . .better still ask for the ed to comment on your post, he would have put you right on this one.

{Ed002's Note - It is not just £100k per week - it is £100k plus per week after tax. It equates to something in the order of £200k per week.}

Quite true Ed, doesn't change anything tho. The issue is whether Spurs could afford to pay a player that wage or not and all the evidence points to the fact that they CAN afford to pay somebody that wage. The fact that you and I know that they wouldn't WANT to pay that in a million years is neither here nor there! : )

Aguero will sign for spurs at the end of the season even though a previous bid was rejected. gabriel heinze will also sign.

Aguero is on over 100k a week no way spurs could even dream of paying that kind of wage

LOL this is a football rumours site not a comedy club. Kaka has zero chance of signing for you. But thanks for the laugh as that will keep me going for the week

David Beckham is set to put pen to paper and sign a loan deal with spurs at the end of the season. Beckham, 35, said " It has been an hounor to train with such a great bunch of lads and i hope i can play for them in the future." Manager Harry Redknap has said a loan deal would be great!

End of Season:

-As previously stated Kaka is a target for Tottenham, who are looking for a big name signing to prove themselves as a massive club. This is in hope of OS backing, big players staying at the club and a title challenge in the following season.

He is no longer a first team regular, after his injury and wants to renew his love of the game at a club with heart. It is rumoured Tottenham could pay up to 30-35mil for him.

-Another Madrid player interesting Tottenham is Benzema who is unwanted at Real. Currently Real only have 3 strikers (Higuain, Benzema and Adebayor), so he couldn't leave in January. Llorente or Aguero will sign for Real, alongside Adebayor permenantly in the summer with the frenchman forced out. Previously quoted price of 15mil.

In order for this to happen, Keane, Bentley, O'Hara and Giovani will all leave for good to their loan clubs (West Ham, Birmingham, Wolves and Santander), at a combined 22mil (5, 9, 4, 4). Pavlyuchenko and Kranjcar will also be sold for approx 16mil. Others may leave including Palacios, with Juve and Wolfsburg interested.

Sort of agree with that, although i don't think it was Redknapp making the decisions. It seems that we were going for players that Redknapp had previously considered to be the kind of players the club wanted. I get the vibe that, while Redknapp was "happy" with the squad, Levy wasnt and was the driving force behind any possible transfers. To me, that doesn't say anything too positive about things at WHL and i wouldn't be massively suprised if we have a change of manager at the end of the season, particularly if we don't get into the top 4 and don't get much further in the Champions league. Im sure Levy would argue that he implored Redknapp to go out and sign players, blah, blah, blah.
. . .

you got it all wrong. redknapp named players he would like to get in, levy tried to get these players but it was left to late. why on earth would levy sack redknapp? hes been the best manager we have had in yearssss, if redknapp goes its because the england job is calling. don't judge redknpp from what you see in the media and his interviews. he says levy is in control because he does not want to give out names or anything else, that is how redknapp is! levy ASKS redknapp if this player would be suitable for the squad and its up to redknapp if he wants to sign him. i am just glad we never signed charlie adams, that would have been the worst move in history. we do not need a creative player, we need a right back, defensive mid and a goal machine!
just know that if we make top 4 this season a big signing will come to WHL!

Cant agree with that. If what you say is the case, redknapp would have been fully aware that we were going to sign Van Der Vart, as it was, Levy phoned him to tell him he had got him a present, redknapp thought it was a car but it was a Van. If that was untrue why not be upfront about it now? redknapp has also now said that the club should have just gone for the one player. That tells me that the "board" were chasing players NOT redknapp! by Redknapps own admission, no signings in the January transfer window means that it will be very difficult to get into the top four now. Is Redknapp not happy with the "boards" transfer dealings in the transfer window? Even a blind man can see we seriously lack a top class striker, the money was there, the players were out there but somebody dithered and we got nobody! Up to redknapp to sign the players? If he had known so much about Van der vart he wouldn't have had to call his son for advice about him! ! !

Posted this yesterday. .

Rossi will sign today defo. . .good source! Also expect 2 more signings. .not sure who as yet as there are a few floating around but 3 players in total should be done and dusted by 11pm.

Now being told it's Rossi or Forlan. . thought i'd be honest and give ya an up-date! Maybe i'll change my source the peanut.

Hi guys. . so sorry none of these deals went through i really thought my source had it on good authority that someone was coming in. I wasn't trying to bluff you get hopes up. I'm just as annoyed and frustrated being a Spurs fan. I think even Ed thought Rossi was on his way.

Deano. {ed's note - I am shocked no striker arrived, but Levy does like to gamble with brinksmanship, everything is left late and this was always a risk. I wonder if lessons will be learned and the summer window will see business being done nice and early?}

I actually think that for once Harry has done the right thing. Would you really have been happy at shelling out £35m for Andy Carroll (and rumour has it that with add ons it could reach £43m!) Harry sat tight to see if the right player fell into his lap for the right price, and we couldn't get Van der Vaart lucky two windows in a row!

We can now consolidate with what we have got, push on in the league and finnish no lower than 5th, but hopefully top four.

Regroup in the summer and sign the right players for the right price, because lets be brutally honest, Andy Carroll is a GOOD player not a great player.

Put it all into perspective, David Villa cost Barcelona less the Andy Carroll.

Sort of agree with that, although i don't think it was Redknapp making the decisions. It seems that we were going for players that Redknapp had previously considered to be the kind of players the club wanted. Ed, how do u know we are in talks with rossi? {ed's note - the person who told me that you had money set aside for a big signing this window is telling me that you are still trying to push through a deal for him. Levy was prepared to spend big to convince the fans that the club is in the right hands, its Redknapp that is being indecisive as its money that he's never had to spend before. We're talking £60m+ for the right players. He wants big hitters from Europe to raise the clubs worldwide profile. Still got a couple of deals on the go, but looking less and less likely, in the hands of Levy now.

I'll make this Aguero rumour easier for everyone, with a quote from Harry yesterday:
''I wouldn't want the chairman to start paying £130-140,000 a week for a player''.
Sergio Aguero is already on £220k a week.

get your facts straight you idiot £220 k a week. you must be living in tinkey winkey land. christiano ronaldo is on around 190k a week . dumb ass

Ed i remember you told us this a while back have you got any news on a striker coming in? aguero, hulk?

jermain {ed's note - nothing new, but despite what Harry says the club are definitely trying to complete deals (yes that is plural!), it is madness right now. I really can't make head or tail of anything that is happening, it just all seems so unlikely but the club does seem to have approached Real Madrid for Kaka and Benzema. Knocked back on both though.}

Personaly i think its all bull!, no one is coming! 38.5mill o.k but what about wages? we cant/ won't pay these players 150/ 200k a week and that's why they won't come! if we bid for players whos wages we can't afford levy can turn round and say he tried to get them, even if the wage structure means they will never come! it bs no ones in the pipeline, its levys way of getting out of the fact there are no players comin. {ed's note - it's not bull mate, I said weeks ago the money had been set aside for a big signing and it is still sat there waiting with the intent to use it. I notice Balague hinting at that, I wonder if his source got it from here originally? I am sure they would have checked it out and found I am correct, Spurs are looking to splurge big style and the money is sat ready to go.}

Spurs Rumours
Spurs are buzzing in expectation that the hard work has finally paid off. By 11pm Monday night there will be four major signings. One will be no surprise, one a little surprising, one will raise eye brows and the fourth will be a shock just like the Van Der Vaart aquisition.

1. Shay Given - Manchester City - £3.6m
2.Lassana Diarra - Real Madrid - £8m
3. Sergio Aguero - Athlectico Madrid - £38.5m
4. Samuel Eto - Inter Milan - £12.5m

The deals are all in the bag and will be partly financed by the loans of O'Hara, Bentley & Woodgate. The recent repayment of the outstanding £11.2m from Sunderland for Bent along with the £3.4m sell on clause has added £14.6m into the warchest unexpectantly, and Levy already had £36.5m in funds for the January transfer window.

The sale of Robbie Keane to West Ham has also been agreed for £6.75m provided the Hammers can stay up as he joins on loan for the season. Roman Pavlyuchenko will also be used in the Aguero deal as £13.5m ) £25m cash.

Come 11pm today you will see the new players roled out. Shay given will challenge Gomes in goal as Cudicini is due to be released at the end of the season. With Huddlestone out for another 3 months Diarra will provide the steel that is missing in midfield, and the front line of Aguero and Eto will mean that Defoe and Crouch play second fiddle.

Harry and Levy are fed up with the finishing, and even Defoe is failing to make the required cut. Crouch and Defoe will offer coverage but expect them along with Jenas, Bentley, Palacios, Cudicini, King, Woodgate and O'Hara to all leave at the end of the season. Times are changing at White Hart Lane and both Harry and Levy believe that the old furniture will need to go if Champions League football is to remain the primary goal.

The Holy
