Ed have you heard any transfer news for spurs regarding adebayor and subotic or any other player? {Ed001's Note - actually I haven't heard anything apart from one thing, from my friend who was telling me all summer and January transfer window that you had money set aside for a big signing or two, this person is now saying that, in their belief, the failure to get the Olympic stadium has caused a few issues. According to this person, the club were extremely confident of getting either that stadium or some other new stadium sorted using the Olympic stadium to put pressure on the council to keep Spurs in the area. They are not entirely sure how that is going to affect things that neither has worked out as expected, but there is still money available for signings, not sure how much as they can only say so much for obvious reasons, but it is certainly enough to buy Adebayor and Subotic for instance. But it is expected that belts will have to be tightened slightly in the future until the stadium issue is dealt with.}

23 Apr 2011 09:25:41
Well if that's the case then your probably right. him and gallas are very good friends.
i wouldn't mind adebayor, ive always seen him as a good player who could become even better with harry. if there was 1 person i feared that played for arsenal it was always adebayor.

22 Apr 2011 22:18:39
The story about Adebayor going to Spurs seems to be true. . Guess who bought a house in North London last week?? Adebayor! I know the guy who was the Real Estate agent. And Ade is for sure not going back to Arse.

I am 100% certain that Emmanuel Adebayor has signed for Spurs already, and it will be annonuced post-season once the PL, CL and Primera seasons are finished.

Got some inside information for us:
Adebayor will join Spurs in the summer. He will not be bought by R Madrid and Citey wants to get rid of him. Harry has already tied up the deal on the cheap side, to be announced post-season. According to his agent, Adebayor is very eager to join Spurs - "It's a dream coming true to play for such a great team" he was rumoured to say.

Wow, great to have one of the world's best strikers joining Spurs! !

Spurs to sign Messi, Ronaldo, Villa, Iniesta, Xavi. They all want to move to a 'big' club, who play in the Europa League, and finish outside the top 4.

Spuds,

You will most likely choose not to believe me, and say I talk more Bull than anybody in the World, and that is fair enough. But, for the few of you who will understand and believe me, I do know this for sure:

Luka Modric will be leaving Spurs in the Summer, if they fail to Qualify for the UCL.

Gareth Bale is the same, and frankly he is not that good so if you get 30m you should be OVER THE MOON!

Who Spurs may / may not replace them with I do not know, but they WILL leave.

MPez

Yeah I think given the choice we'll believe both Modric and Bale who have both clearly said they won't be leaving, so you are right we'll choose not to believe you

Redknapp has received approaches from agents representing two other Premier League clubs and one Championship club. All have bigger budgets then Spurs, and he has also received offers from abroad.

In response, chairman Daniel Levy has assured Redknapp that all approaches for the players he wants to keep will be rebuffed and he will be given a large chunk to spend along with majority of funds generated from player sales.

The following players are all available at the right price:

Alan Hutton, Sebastian Bassong, Vedran Corluka, Jamie O'Hara, David Bentley, Wilson Palacios, Jermaine Jenas, Niko Krancjar, Giovani Dos Santos, Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Jermain Defoe. There will also be a clearout of lesser reserve players and the possible release/ retirements of Jonathan Woodgate, Carlo Cudicini and Ledley King.

Some are already on their way whilst others may remain depending on offers for themselves and others.

Kyle Walker will return to the club and go straight into the first team squad for next season, there will also be investments in all areas of the squad with key players brought in to refresh the attack and defence. Also expect a possible "Redknapp" signing which nearly happened in the last two windows.

Players being scouted furiously by Spurs are a number of Porto's first team including Hulk, the big Ath.Bilbao frontman Fernando Llorente, and scouts have spent lots of time watching Marseille, Dortmund, Udinese, Napoli and Milan players this year.

Just saying what I was told at the Madrid game. .

Spurs to bring in shay given as he is unhappy at city and redknapp is unhappy with Gomeses performances against real Madrid

Not a spurs fan but im sorry to say that after the defeat to real mardrid stars gareth bale, van der varrt and aaron lennon are set to leave as they are still 5th and 2-3 points behind mancty and chelski with their next game with arsenal and look set to loose with so many injury problems with their players

Harry set to sell Crouch and Defoe in the summer before buying doyle and forlan to replace them.
Will sign pletikosa for 2.5 mill.
Darijo Srna also interested in signing.

Gareth Bale and Luka Modric will both be plying their trade with Manchester United next season. Both are at the top of Sir Alex wishlist and he will do whatever it takes to get both men. He will offer around 70 million for both men which is likely to be rejected by spurs. His interest is not likely to deter and he is then likely to offer 40 million plus Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov in a sentational swoop. It is very unlikely that Harry could resist such an offer and will be forced to accept the offer. He will then use the cash to buy a good left back, with the contenders likely to be Fabio Coentrao and Jose Enrique. Another Striker may be on his list as Pavlychenko and Keane are likely to be sold, with Fernando Llorente and Guiseppe Rossi top of h

Why are people so utterly gut wrenchingly thick?
Where do you start? £70 million for two players that are integral to the club? £70 million from a club that can't afford to spend £70 million? Two players uutterly detested by the supporters being welcomed back to WHL like the prodigal sons? Whoever wrote this c*ap knows NOTHING about football.
IF Bale and Modric DEMAND a transfer, the club will be forced to sell, however, Man City and Chelsea apart, no club in the PL could afford them and, I would guess, Mr Levy won't be so daft this time around to sell a coveted player to a club we are trying to get alongside and compete with on the pitch.
If they go anywhere, it will be abroad.
The end

Why would Harry turn down 70 mill and instead accept 40 mill plus Berba and Carrick.

Carrick has been awful for a couple of seasons and Spurs do not need him, Berba would be useful but at his age would not be worth much more than 15 mill in the transfer market, maybe a little more

harry has made it clear he won't sell Bale or Modric and both players signed new contracts last season. They won't be going anywhere next season and after that if they do decide to go no doubt they will be looking to the likes of Barca or Real

United don't have the money to afford both and Spurs will no longer want to sell to a team that are now becomming a much closer rival than they once were

7. Micah Richard is the only plausible suggestion, and if City will part for £7m then this might happen.

That's never going to happen, then - considering City rejected a £20m bid for Richards from Liverpool.

Some people talk utter rubbish on the spurs rumours page. why on earth would tottenham sell lennon for 20 million. his heart belongs to spurs. you can't sell players that have been vital to you in seasons.

man utd have 2 top wingers and believe me, alex ferguson loves them both so much that he does not know who to start. there main objective is to get a creative midfielder. someone like wesley. tottenham will not and i mean WILL NOT sell there main players.

VDV is the only tottenham first team player that could leave for utd if they offer stupid amounts of money. he, has even expressed his love for tottenham so that would even be highly unlikely to.

we will not be signing players like kaka, imbrahimovic with the stupid amount of money they want in there wages. think professionaly. maybe 1 world class striker and a right back. 45 million tops. preferably aguero and richards.

29 Mar 2011 23:05:46
Where to start, many will leave this summer as prvioudly stated although this won't make a huge difference to the team set up.

The big issues thoug is that both Lennon and Van der Vaart are attracting inteest from Man Utd -vdv, Juventus and milan-lennon.

We hope to make 20mil for lennon if he were to leave and 24mil for rafa.

They will be replaced with Aguero and Kaka respectively for 35mil and 25mil, at expense of 16mil, made from bentley, keane, O'hara.

With Gio, Kranjcar and Pav also leaving, we will purchase a striker, possibly ibrahimovic, as big name stated, a price of 30mil.

Total Cost=90mil (25+35+30)
Total Income from sales= 81mil(20+24+8+5+4+4+7+9)

Outlay of 9mil and a champions league winning squad :)

ED - Spurs are on the verge of great things and have an outsider chance to lift the European crown. However do you feel that Harry will need wholesale changes if they are to seriously push for the Premiership title?

My view is the following all need to go:

Jenas - Seems totally ineffective and mystifies me why he is continually picked. I have heard Harry say he is a box to box player, but he never tackles and only passes sideways or backwards so why he is praised is unclear.

Pavlyuchenko - By far the best goal ratio of all Spurs players but nothing short average. Reviewing his goals prior to his Spurs career demonstrated a one dimensional goal poaching centre forward.

Palacios - Looks totally one dimensional and clumsy. Prone to howlers and nothing short of a Jack Russell around opposition feet. Now the opposition have worked him out they throw the bone to each other and he soon runs out of puff.

Woodgate - Brilliant on his day but so is Schumaker. Plays so infrequently and at 31 is hardly going to get fitter. Surely time to cut your losses and sell him.

O'Hara - Not founf his chances at Spurs and looks half decent. Seems to have burnt his bridges with his misguided loyalties and is surely one for the short list out of the Lane.

Cudicini- With Gomes and the under-rated Pletikosa surely it is time to let this 37 yr old to leave.

Kaboul - At 25 he should have started to shine, and still he cannot find a regular place with Woodgate and King injured. Surely not good enough and one for the short list.

Bassong - Still only 24 but looks totally ordinary to me. No great pace and lacks vision and ball control. Worth around £8m and surely a quick exit is due.

Hutton - With the under-rated Corluka and the brilliant prospect in Walker surely Hutton has to go. Tries to replicate Balesk attacking style, but lacs the finishing touch and cannot defend to save his life.

Pienaar - Why Spurs bought Pienaar is a mystery albeit at a snip. I personally cannot see a place for him as Krancjar is far more effective. With the return of Huddlestone and the emerging Sandro I would sell Pienaar on for a tidy profit.

Crouch - Sure he offers a new dimension, but this very fact has nullified a brilliant midfield by encouraging long balls to knock down. Poor goal scoring record and at 30 is worth selling while he is still worth £10m.

Buy Mexes, Hazard, Aguero and Llorente and go challenge the big four Levy.

Ed your views would be great on how should go and who Spurs should buy?

{Ed002's Note - Mexes is likely to go elsewhere - and Hazard will not be moving to Spurs. Aguero will need more than £200k per week gross to match his net wages. Llorente may be available.}

24 Mar 2011 06:34:26
Ive seen harry rednapp this moarning and i asked him in the summer who does levy want to sign and he said fabiano, rossi, van bommel, gomez, richards, cahil and clichy
