ED how likely is it that modric is going to leave?

{Ed010's Note -Teddy, from what is being reported across the tabloids and websites, there is a good chance that he will. Modric has been a brilliant signing for you and is only halfway through his contract (I think it was 6yrs) but if he is attracted towards another club, that is usually it, he gets sold because no manager wants an unhappy player. In my opinion and if I was a Spurs fan, I would be more than concerned about the player that is rumoured to be a target to replace him. There is no doubt that Joe Cole is a class player on his day but unfortunately, he doesn't have them often enough,

What do you think Teddy ? If Modric leaves is there anyone in the EPL that would be a good replacement ? (Open to all)

Ed010, Im going to say that modric will be with us next season, maybe the last season he will be. I can't speak for every supporter but i will say IF he does go he MUST be sold abroad! Im sick to death of us selling our best players to Premiership rivals. If Modric does end up at Old trafford, i suspect that an awful lot of supporters will stop going ( me) and lose interest. If we are just going to be a feeder club for Utd then lets get it out into the open and say so, if we are not then we should be refusing to sell wantaway players to our rivals. its utterly pointless selling our best to make the others better. Ive mentioned before that Ferguson made sure that none of his valuble players were allowed to transfer to other Premiership clubs, players like Stam, Heinze, Beckham etc, were all shipped abroad. Ferguson is no mug, is he! As for Joe Cole. .ummm, no. {Ed008's Note -
I believe he will stay for one more season Harry will convince him to stay as for a replacement should he leave J.Cole is not good enough personally thats what i think.

Just heard on the grape vine that Man City are going to make a starting bid of £30 million for Modric!

If this is gonna happen take the £30 million, Richards and Johnson and a cut price on Adebayor (just about adds up to what Modders is worth)

Have Spurs shown interest in Gyan or Ba? I personally think they will be great and cheap options. Do you think they will be good enough

Rangers fan in piece, although i support Chelsea too!:) My German friend has just came over this week and he was telling me about tostern frings maybe coming to rangers etc, but he mentioned that spurs have made an approach to Miroslav Klose's agent about signing him as he is set to leave Fc Bayern due to new contract break downs which was also confirmed today. cracking player, would like to see him in the prem to whom he might go to!

Mexican friend of mine confirms that Modric will join Manchester United in exchange for Hernandez with monetary sum inclusive. Hernandez's agent hinted to a few journalists last week in Mexico that United will stage a massive clear out this summer, culminating with the prominent sale of Hernandez to offset incoming additions.

The board room at Old Trafford has asked Sir Alex to completely rebuild the team for the next decade. It is already known that new talent will be required to replace some of the fading or retiring superstars.

All these players are to be either replaced or mirrored with young up and coming talent. The fear is that there is little depth outside these ageing players. Sure there is Rooney, Nani, Hernandez and other but that is not going to win you a Premiership alone.

So why I am telling you this on a Spurs clusite you may ask. Well a massive package is being discussed with Spurs which will include the sale of Modric and Bale. Remarkebly Sir Alex will not sign one but both of these Spurs stars and the package will see Berbatov, Brown & Carrick come the other way. The figure in addition is rumoured to exceed £40million.

I fear that this is a nightmare for all Spurs fans, and will see the club retirn to a top half team at best. Spurs must keep Bale and Modric at all costs and refrain from sale unless bid over £60million per player are received.

If this all comes to fruition Spurs will have resigned so many players that all they need is Paul Robinson , Adel Tarrabt, Zokora, Darren Bent and Bobby Zamora and we have our old squad back.

Harry and Daniel please do not mess this window up, we trust in you and beg you to keep our dreams alive.Come off it, sure United enquired about Modric and were politely told to do one. There's no package on offer and why would we be interested in Carrick and Brown? Berba well we could certainly do with a good striker but he is on a final year of his contract so we can buy him if they really want
Spurs have already turned down an offer of 40 mill euros for Bale, so effectively why would we want to accept similar money for both Modric and Bale plus a striker we can buy cheaply enough and two players we don't want or need. We already have about a dozen excess players we are looking to unload never mind getting two more

There will of course be plenty of rumours throughout summer about Bale and Modric but they will not be moving
