Oracle, dont write us off signing Zaha. I said last week we were in for him but Palace wanted stupid money. He is definitely a target.

Zaha is just a big strong boy and that's all he is. I doubt he will hack it In the prem.

Agree2 Disagree3

I think he will be a decent player, still has a lot to learn but i think with the right coaching he can fulfill his potential but that may take a few years, coaching and bedding into the Premier League, if the price was more 4-5 million i would say its worth it but anyting over that we might as well save the cash and look elsewhere

Rumour is Zaha for 10 million when signed goes back out on loan to Palace for rest of season

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Wheres the rumour from? I can't see Zaha coming to the lane, although he's proven in the championship (No disrespect) i don't see Levy spending 10m on a player hes going to loan out again. I'm sure AVB & Levy will be searching for a top striker that all the fans want.

Agree9 Disagree1

Zaha is a waste of money!

Agree10 Disagree3

Zaha grew up as a Arsenal supporter; so I doubt we will read him say playing for Spurs is a "dream come true".

We should spend the 10mill on Remy

Agree5 Disagree5

Overated! Why do you think City, Utd and Chelsea haven't gone in for him. He'll end up at Everton or Newcastle. He ain't joining any of the big boys mark these words.

Agree7 Disagree2

Rumour from newspapers, apparently we win loan out a couple of players to them as well. Sounds a possibility especially as United are afer him so Levy wants to screw United over again!

Ed, can you give me an update on the damiao situation? and is it true we had a bid accepted by internacional ? {Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter, Milan and Juventus. Lyon, Arsenal and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. The summer saw rejected bids from Spurs and PSG. Spurs, both Milan clubs, Roma or (much less likely) Juventus may force a move - and these remain the most viable destinations right now. His club value him at an unrealistic 60M euro which they obviously won't get anywhere near - and they don't want to sell. The player says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable, but they have taken a look at him. There is no accepted bid from Spurs right now.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Aparently zaha is to sign next week.

Agree3 Disagree5

Not sue I really want him to be perfectly honest

Agree7 Disagree1

Zaha will not sign for Spurs.

The Oracle

Agree6 Disagree3

Oh crap... If oracle says he won't sign that prob means its a done deal

Forget about zaha there is only one and that's willan I've watched the boy many many times and he's a class act and would fit straight into our side let's not forget he scored two against the champions league winners not so long ago.

Agree5 Disagree1

I actually think Zaha would be a great signing. We already have Bale and Lennon, we don't need somebody as expensive as Willian to provide cover and competition for places.

Adam

Agree2 Disagree3

Here here, for a bit less money, but think he would be a good signing. I also rate Andros Townsend and with some game time (which he's getting a wee bit now) will be a decent player

According to the paper Tottenham are to offer £15m + Gomes in a £20m deal to secure Damiao. Obviously don't know how true this is but it at least seems feasible, as this would suit both Spurs and Gomes. In other, not so new, news Huddlestone to Fulham, Livermore on-loan to QPR. Anyone too upset? Personally i rate Huddlestone, excellent range of passing, shooting. Slow yes, but a good player nevertheless. As for Livermore, well...seems like they hand out England caps for nothing these days i.e Sterling, Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Zaha. Speaking of whom is subject to a 10m bid, apparently. Would be nice..

Believable9 Unbelievable1

I deffo wouldn't pay 5m for gomes

Agree12 Disagree0

Livermore could get first-team football on loan at QPR, which will better him if we choose not to sell.

I'd like to see Damiao at Spurs, but, despite what the papers are saying, I try not to get into it too much.

Damaio linked with us again in todays papers, Gomes going the other way as part of the deal.

Here we go again.

The Damiao deal would have been finalised already if Gomes wasn't included on the table. With so many vultures in the Damiao financial chain, it is hardly surprising that previous attempt failed. The question is therefore no whether he is signing in January, but more will Gomes go the other way.

The Willian deal is slightly more difficult, as the Ukrainians are notoriously difficult to do business with. Anyone that doesn't need to sell, will prove to be a hard target for someone that doesn't like to pay over the odds. Still the deal is live and I for one hope it comes off.

Moutinho is very interesting, and there is certainly a desire from AVB. The issue here is Levy"s insistence that a player devalues with age and that £20m is a more realistic valuation. This creates the doubt in the signing as once again their are fragmented and complex ownership rights.

With Holtby best suited to CAM and LW, and all the deals for Damiao, Willian and Moutinho all looking strong, I fear the reality of Bale to Madrid is drawing closer. I hope that Levy"a plans are agreed for the summer if this is the outcome, but with Zeki Fryers also signed at the back, one cannot help to think the writing is one the wall.

Just imagine hypothetically we did pull off the unthinkable and sign Damiao, Willian & Moutinho. £60m is £30m more than we have got, but if Levy can orchestrated Gomes in the Damiao deal for £5m, offload Dawson for £10m to Villa, QPR or Sunderland, sell Huddlestone to QPR or Fulham for £7.5m and somehow get rid of Adebayor, the reality gets even more possible.

I accept the likelihood of signing all three is remote, but remember AVB said we will be chasing no targets and Holtby and Zeki Fryers have already signed. Could this window become our finest ever as I predicted months ago, or will we have huge disappointment come 1st February?

I for one renain optimistic, and the thought of keeping Bale if we could balance the books would be breath taking.

The Oracle

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Don't forget we're apparently battling for Zaha as well. That could mean an extra ten million on your original 60 million, if we get him, which would be rather unlikely as well.

Agree1 Disagree3

All these posts snd predictions you post oracle and you hadn't once actually predicted the players we HAVE signed.
Says it all really!!

COYMFS.

Agree4 Disagree4

I would imagine it would be one of Willian, Mout or Wes ...can't see the funds or the need for 2 players of that quality on the payroll when we still need a proven goal scorer up front. Our goal difference is already a long way behind the 2 teams I think we are competing with for 3rd or 4th.

Agree4 Disagree1

Need someone to convert these chances as our midfield is creating many chances.
Defoe has done a great job this season but still missis a spark. The strike force is not exciting to watch as we miss our tevez, rvp who excite a crowd as there ratio is so high you expect the ball in the net. With Defoe and aid you know it's more arse than class.

Oraacle has written nothing for days, and now thid big long novel i think he drafts his drivel over the space of a few days, and then entertains us all with it later.

not counting on more signings just yet

You really are the main part of a vulval vestibule ....

Keep up the gd work Oracle, even tho it's always complete bs I always look forward to your posts as it shows how easy people can get wound up lmao.

They all complain you are a loner who is just attention seeking but can't resist replying to your posts. I wonder how long it would take for you to get bored if nobody acknowledged your posts... Lets hope this never happens because I personally love it

Keep it up Oracle you always cheer me up!

Agree6 Disagree1

Funny how 6-8 weeks ago I told you Willain and Damiao were top targets and every single one of you called me deluded. Typical fickle nonsence I have come to expect.

The Oracle

Agree4 Disagree0

Where do u get holtby been lw, he's not his best position is cm & he's playing Am for schalke since raul left but the majority of games for German underage has been as a playmaker in cm.

Yes indeed Oracle did tell us about Damiao and William weeks ago - it's just that he, the papers and websites have been saying it for 2 years !

You didn't tell us about Fryers and Haltby though did you - and before you get on your high horse, we and the Ed's have all read your posts and know what's been said.

Flippit

Agree1 Disagree3

Major deals and acquisitions fall into a different channel. I have never been privy to direct player acquisitions or indeed those under £5m. The only time these become major would be if a top world class star became contract less.

Yes I have given you realms of correct transfers like Modric, Berbatov and Keane & Defoes return, but you seek to hang onto the Cahill and Damiao predictions which failed to materialise. If ED is really ITK he will know that Cahill was expected to sign, and it was a shock he choose Chelsea.

On the Damiao front I gave it months before any of the bandwagon crew jumped on, and have seen disappointed after disappointment. ED will know there are complication with ownership and this has taken time to nail him. I mentioned him 12 weeks ago as a January target and everyone of those who replied told me that I was deluded, and every newspaper confirmed that the deal was dead.

Flippitt, unlike you I actually provide names and many come true, and those that don't are genuine targets. It is people like you that simply moan and ridicule every post and add nothing of any value yourself.

When Damiao signs that will be 12/13 and when the Olympic Stadium happens you will all realise that sometimes the slitly eccentric are not as crazy as you thought.

The Oracle {Ed002's Note - Actually you might want to go back and look on both the Arsenal and Spurs pages regarding what I said about Cahill. There was interest from all three clubs but Chelsea had made the efforts to open discussions with Bolton.}
