Latest news i've seen is a SKY SPORTS report saying Harry Redknapp is interested in signing Demba Ba. Due to Harry wanting a new signing or two to boost our team and make us real title competitors this move would be fantastic!

Believable5 Unbelievable12

What a load of balls ! For a start he is abroad , Newcastle won't sell , he's not good enough for us and probably wouldn't pass his medical ! If we brought every player who had had a good six months , then we would be in for about 75% of the worlds footballers !

I doubt it will happen. Demba Ba is off in Africa in a few weeks.

Dodgy harry was talking about a release clause in BAs contract which in all intentive purposes is supposed to be kept private so if i was harry i would keep quiet incase he finds himself in hot water for knowing the contents of a players contract! but on a lighter note its supposed to be a clause that is for champions league teams only and is set at 15 million but only if newcastle agree to sell which i doubt very much! think this rumour started from karen brady who stated thats why whu had to release him but she should know better than to release this info as the fa are really hot at the moment about tapping up players and declaring your intentions so publicly is exactly this!

Agree1 Disagree6

BA has shown he is fit and as for not being good enough! your talking utter rubbish! the lad is pure class and he is proving it in the right way! theres no way you would get him cos he under a contract and also outa the country for up to 6 weeks so dream on and see if you can actually BUY adebuyour before you start knocking other players! harry the dodgy dealer will be investigated for inside knowledge of a players contract cos he been questioned on this before in the triesman investigation and his dealings with over seas agents. tut tut tut dirty harry!

Agree2 Disagree4

What a load of bull 1st ba has a getout in hes contract why so if a big club comes in he goes not up to newcastle whats the point of having this but in contract if club can block it ??

Agree0 Disagree3

Isn't the whole point of a release that the club are forced to sell if it's met? It would be b****cks then for a release clause of 15m if 'Toon could still say No in fact not a release clause at all...

Agree3 Disagree0

It was actually the reporter who mentioned the release clause .....Harry just responded ....

Agree2 Disagree0

The release clause touted about is around 10 mill. which is more than likely when you get a player for free, 15 sounds a little too far off the mark.

It's also true that you cannot have a release clause and then the club "deciding if it's valid or not".

If you listen to Harry, he words his answers very carefully, he never directly says he wants this or that, just that "he's a good lad" or "if he was available, I would be interested" that way he cannot be classed as tapping up as he is only saying he will be interested IF the club will allow it.

Agree3 Disagree1

Either way it stinks hope goes to jail next month

Agree1 Disagree7

Dirty Harry cried like a baby bout Modric and bale appalling behaviour?

Agree0 Disagree5

How can saying he would like to buy a player appalling behaviour . Does that mean I cant say I would like to buy my neighbours car , wow , what a naughty boy I am . Face facts , the big bad owner of newcastle will sell whoever he feels like , whenever ! As much as you hate the fact , thats true !
Davo

Agree2 Disagree0

Fair point point mate but why does Harry have to talk about our players in his interview other than to unsettle them toon 3 Mufc 0

Agree2 Disagree0

I think this must work with every player ! They are either loyal or they just go with the money ! If a player is happy with his money , his team mates or the clubs ambition , he will stay like most players from years ago where they played for the love of the sport , club and supporters whilst earning a decent wage . Unfortunately , with the influx of so many foreign players , most footballers now couldnt really give a sh*t about the club and thier supporters , just their pay packets and profiles ! If there was a maximum that they could all earn , then they might start to think about their clubs and supporters . Mind you , so of the owners are looking for a quick buck to and unfortunately , Mewcastle have an owner like that .

I have just had a call from a friend of mine who is involved with the football industry, and this guy Ganso name keeps appearing. Harry has come out and said that he has never heard of him (can't believe that). According to my friend there is a meeting taking place today and next week. Has anyone heard the same, and if so how much would he be?

Believable3 Unbelievable6

See ganso v barca,he is tall,slim weak.new kaka my arse.he was s**te

Agree1 Disagree2

See ganso v barca,he is tall,slim weak.new kaka my arse.he was s**te

everyone can have a bad game and also it was against barca! the boys gonna be world class

Agree2 Disagree1

Ganso is a fantastically skilful player with excelleny vision and intelligence. Whether he can produce those skills in the intensity of the PL remains to be seen but looking at the Barca game gives little because Barca denied Santos any possession and so Ganso and Neymar hardly had the ball to actually show their ability.
As with all players it's a gamble if they can settle in a new team and a new league, but Spurs would be a great club for Ganso as they have the likes of Parker, Modric and Sandro who do the work and win the ball, which would free Ganso to carve open defences with his skill, vision and invention

Agree5 Disagree0

Am I the only one who remembers that when modders first came to us everyone said he was too small and weak. Now look at him. Don't write off Ganso for being too weak, he should become a quality player.

Telegraph is reporting that Ganso's
reps are meeting with Spurs today

Believable10 Unbelievable5

I seriously hope this is true .. ganso is going to be MASSIVE .. and spurs could just be the right team for him to get consistent action for a euro football .. a great team on the up ... could be interesting

Agree6 Disagree5

Redknapp says he has never heard of him

Agree3 Disagree4

The fact that redknapp says he's never heard of him actually gives this story more weight.

never heard of ganso? with 8 caps for brazil?

why lie? very similar to the "we're not going for any strikers" of last year ;)

Agree12 Disagree2

He said the same about Sandro. Ganso would be an incredible signing.

Azza

Agree10 Disagree1

Imagine if we could get sandro, ganso and leandro all in one team! 'dies and goes to heaven at the thought'

Really want us to be signing Ganso despite old 'arry's supposed ignorance, looks like a potentially world 11 player. Seems as though it's unlikely though the way Harry has reacted :( shame

steed

Agree1 Disagree0

Because all managers know every player with more than 8 caps for brazil?

Agree1 Disagree8

Yeah they should.
