Ed, have you got any transfer news, you could bring me/us?, perhaps regarding Joao Moutinho And Leandro Damiao?

i heard spurs are in talks with porto over moutinho, and apperntly, on twitter, we have had a $25 offer accepted for leandro damiao by Internacional!

ed, is this all true? {Ed002's Note - Spurs lost Modric but stalled over a summer move for Moutinho. Whilst I understand that interest from Spurs remains and efforts are being made to strike a deal, they will need to not only stump up whatever fee Porto think is right but also do a hard-sell on the player, as Moutinho has hinted a move to PSG would suit him best - and PSG are interested.

Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, Arsenal, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter, Milan and Juventus. Lyon and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. The summer saw rejected bids from Spurs and PSG. Inter, Roma or Juventus may force a move - and these remain the most likely destinations right now. His club value him at an unrealistic 60M euro which they obviously won't get and they don't want to sell. The player says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable, but they have taken a look at him.}

I don't think Moutinho is necessarily needed now, as I believe Holtby has the potential to be as good as Moutinho is now, perhaps even better. Damiao would be a dream, but I am just not sure if he would join us with all these other clubs showing an interest in him, though I think another striker would be great for us, perhaps give Coulibaly a couple of sub cameos?

The risk is another injury to Dembele will leave us light in the second half of the season .... Not sure we have anyone that can fill his shoes for any length of time in the club currently. And that would put our chances of Top 4 in serious jeporady.

Based on what I have heard from today, I would say demps could be our answer to taking the chances and providing that extra spark! Should play him up front with either Defoe or ade more often

Against a poor league 1 side

Scored loads for a average Fulham team against PL teams and how many did our 1st choice forward Adebayor score against a poor league 1 side.. oh dear

It is not surprising that Sigersson and Dempsey look better against weaker opponents, as the lower league is closer to their level of ability.

Personally I cannot believe we are serious top4 contenders depending on their "spark". Holtby on the other hand, is a tremendous talent and I am amazed we managed to get him signed!

Doesnt dempsey have more goals for us than ade this season ?
