Tottenham are on the brink of snapping up former Chelsea players Ricardo Carvalho, 34 and Micheal Essien, 30, on a free in the summer.

No they aren't, Levy won't want to sign high wage earning players that are ageing and injury prone and nowadays struggling and AVB has a number of younger and pacier players he wants in other areas and there is no need for players in their two roles
I have to disagree with both "rumours". this is why.
A) We don't need any more centrebacks. We have Dawson, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Caulker. I expect us to offload Gallas.
B) We don't need a holding midfielder! As we have Huddlestone, Sandro, Parker and Livermore!
The one and only answer to this is,
Why the f**k would we want them unless AVB is thinking of doing a Arry and signing all his ex players! Who could be next, Deco?
