Our u-19s have been drawn in group A of the nextgen with barca, olympiakos and Wolfsburg. Really think we could do well next year, if we hadn't made the admin error I think we could have won it

Does anybody else detest liverpool
For their whining bitchiness ?
Because of them the rule was made that knocked us out of cl spot
And because of them complaining we had a player too young on the pitch in the next gen comp we withdrew ?

Agree7 Disagree3

I'm not sure it was liverpool who made us go out of nextgen. I get the feeling we withdrew ourselves out of fair play and principle {Ed001's Note - Spurs did withdraw out of principle and the rule in the Champions League was down to the English FA refusing to withdraw Everton, nothing to do with Liverpool at all. I think someone is just a trifle bitter above! The Champions League holders have always been given automatic entry into the group stages of the following season's competition. Except when Liverpool won it, because the FA refused to comply with the spirit of the rules, so Liverpool were forced to enter at the qualifying round stages.}

How the eff can GDS not get in our team.
Redknapp you muppet, look at what we have on our books.
I'm seriously getting worried about HR.
He discovered bale by mistake.
He was going back on loan until Benni go injured.
Prob would of sold him.
Look at prince bouteng too, quality now.
He is wasting alot of talent.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Prince boetang is crap! total and utterly

Agree4 Disagree12

Discovered Bale by mistake??? Who gave Bale his chance at Southampton? BAE was off to the African cup of nations if he didn't get injured. Bale was always going to play! Try getting the facts first. By all accounts Gio has ideas well above his fecking station. I wouldn't play him either.

Oi Oi, take a chill pill mate.
Calm down.
Heavy day at the pub was it.
Jeez

To be fair to him we have been a little poor in the youth development ranks. We had a brilliant crop of youngsters and our strategy has been to loan them out until they shine or throw them away like Bostock for example. Norwich have developed Naughton, Villa discovered Walker, Swindon unwrapped Caulker and the list goes on. It is about time our youth coaches delivered something particularly when you consider the potential of all these young players. I think Naughton can be even better than Walker as he is defensively more robust as well as being good going forward. We have Caulker who will surely cease the chance if given his Spurs. Then the likes of Ceballos and Coullibally look sensational talents to give us real pedigre in the youth ranks. Where would Rooney, Owen and even our own Aaron Lennon or Kyle Walker be without the opportunity. We have talked about Modric burnout but had young stars like Ceballos and upfront where we have struggled to find any depth we have probably the most exciting youth striker around in Coullibally.

Either Redknapp prefers to keep them on a slow boil or he has seen otherwise on the training ground.

The Oracle

Agree9 Disagree1

Totally agree, except Caulker went to Swansea not Swindon.

Agree1 Disagree1

Poor in youth development? Just because we loan them out doesn't mean we are not developing them. It's clearly our strategy. I wouldn't play an unproven CB in the premloaning him to Swansea was a master stroke. Not developing the youth? Bale, Walker, Lennon, Rose and Livermore suggest otherwise

Agree3 Disagree4

There are more young players being loaned out due to not having a reserve league!
Mo

Dos Santos hasn't been given a chance no point of buying promising youngsters cos the premier league so tough it needs instant results no time to develop foreign talent

There is a picture of Seydou Doumbia outside white hart lane. I will try to post it on spurs sightings.

Spurs Lad

I saw that picture (if it's the same one). Looked nothing like him, looked like a 35 year old man with a grey beard. I might be wrong though, it was very blurry.

Agree2 Disagree1

Difficult to tell but if you google pics of him and compare them it could well be him.
Mo

Agree1 Disagree1

Impossible to tel if its him, could be. hope it is!

Agree0 Disagree1

Have compared pictures and they don't look anything like him. And why would a top level footballer turn up in a banged up 51 plate merc?!? Also watching Mexico play Brazil, and why the F does Harry not play Gio???

Agree4 Disagree0

Believe me, watched him a lot this season.
Also compared his pic to pix on th net.
That is 100% him.
Th guy is a scoring machine. A monster.
Only doubt is, that he says he is 24, some doubt that.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think, when comparing, they look quite alike, Doumbia does look old

@James_THFC

Agree0 Disagree1

It ain't him. You can tell by the hair. The bloke in the picture has a receding line with a bit sticking out in the middle...whereas Doumbia has a far more straighter hairline.

Agree2 Disagree1

Is he not replacing levazzi at Napoli??
would love him to sign for us but not gonna happen

Agree2 Disagree0

It's not Doumbia

Agree4 Disagree1

That's our janitor ........

I joke but seriously doumbia would be an amazing signing that I would want and love to come here ..... And for those
Reasons alone we will not sign Hom
We will end up with Heskey as he has just been released xD
