Hi Eds,
Big spending Cardiff in for Caulker? Is there any truth in it? What are the chances of him going? Especially when we're so thin on the ground for defenders anyway!
Dom
{Ed008's Note - Their has been an enquiry by Cardiff but with Vertonghen picking up an injury and Kaboul just returning from injury himself I doubt he will be sold unless a replacement can be brought in and those 2 recover from injuries.

Maybe true if this is true that we have agreed to sign Vlad Chiriches from steau B.

How can anyone say Caulker is over rated. He will be England centre back within the next 5yrs. Quality player to have in the squad.

I agree that Caulker is overrated. Get 10m for him and buy Chiriches who is very very good.

We can buy Caulker back next year when Cardiff get relegated. {Ed008's Note - I'm gonna check on this if theirs some sort of buy back clause.

Hi Eds,
A couple of things, firstly, Ed001 Happy belated birthday.
Now, is Falque going out on loan again? As he is a player more than capable of playing in a front 3? and for me, would be better in that position than Lennon.
Also, where do sigs, holtby etc lie? As I'm sure being such a huge year for international football coming up, they aren't going to be happy to sit on the sidelines.
And finally, is there any news on the seriousness of Vert's injury? Kaboul's return? Sandro back to full fitness?
Cheers,
Dom {Ed001's Note - thank you mate, at my age it becomes a celebration of managing to live so long!
Falque was to be given pre-season to impress, the club were going to make their decision on him during that. I don't know if a decision has been reached yet, and if there is what it would be.
Those two are expected to fight for their places. Spurs are trying to build a squad at the moment, so only players now wanted or that don't want to be there will be going. Holtby and Sigurdsson are currently seen as a part of that squad and AVB would like to keep hold of them.
Vertonghen is expected back next month, in about 2 weeks. Kaboul and Sandro are, last I heard, back in training, just a bit behind the rest of the squad. I am not aware of any setbacks or anything since then, so I would expect them back in action soon enough.}

Brilliant. Thanks for the update mate.

Ed, have you heard anything about Kaboul's knee being a long term issue in the same vein as Ledley?u {Ed001's Note - knees are always a long term issue, but any injury to them has to be monitored closely. As far as I am aware, he should be able to train normally and play normally, though it would be 'unwise to place undue stress on the joint'. I am not sure how that last bit is to be interpreted to be honest.}

Ed any chance that if Bale does leave we could replace him with Erik Lamela, not saying he is going to leave though. {Ed002's Note - Manchester United was interested in Lamela before he left River Plate. Manchester City have been looking at him this season and were looking for talks after putting two offers on the table - but that went nowhere. Baldini said he would like to work with him again but there is little chance of a move to Spurs or Southampton who both enquired. Roma has no interest in talking to them at this time and are also resisting interest from Napoli, Monaco and PSG but Monaco still think they may be able to attract Roma's attention with a significant bid and Roma has started to look at a player who would coming in as a replacement. An English club that were interested and stepped away because of the complex ownership & work permit issues, is again looking at the situation.}

dertbyshire dave {Ed002's Note - An offer has been made for Bale. I don't know how you think Barcelona come in to this.}

Ed I meant marca reals mouthpiece, ok so there has been an official bid but do you know if there is any truth in the rumour that bale is at loggerheads with levy.

Ed's,
Any updates on Ade's move to Besiktas. ? Is it looking likely to happen. ? Furthermore are they the only club currently interested in him. ?
Also who is in for Dempsey. ? {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Adebayor and a deal is likely if personal terms can be agreed. I cannot help with Dempsey right now.}

How likely is it that Bale will leave Spurs for Madrid ed?
Interested Liverpool fan that is a little bored of hearing the same thing from tv over and over again.
An Dun Red {Ed001's Note - Madrid are trying to unsettle him, but right now he seems to be happy to stay and give Spurs at least one more season. It is likely to happen one day, he is interested in going abroad and testing himself, but this year is not likely to be when he moves.}

Ed I have to disagree, RM have offered over £85 million and no way on this planet is Levy knock it back. {Ed001's Note - the issue is that the money is paid over a period of time, in staged payments. If it was up front, then I agree he would have snatched their hands off for it.}
