Skysports.com understands Tottenham have tabled an offer for French sensation M'Baye Niang.
Niang is regarded as one of the best young prospects to emerge in French football after bursting onto the scene at the back end of last season with Caen.
The 16-year-old only made his first-team debut in April and scored three goals in seven games.
His performances played a key part in keeping Caen in Ligue 1 last season and his emergence has alerted a number of clubs across Europe to his potential.
Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the teenager, but Spurs have made the first move for Niang.
Spurs are thought to have tabled a bid in the region of 8million for the 6ft frontman as they look to steal a march on their rivals.
Caen are thought to be considering the offer, but the developments could see other clubs enter the race for the exciting forward.

Not agreeing 4 with either of you, but i do feel that there is something wrong with the club, if harry is going to leave levy should have a contingancy plan in place. Also why would a chairman give cash to a manager who may only stay till the england job comes up? a new manager may not want the team we are (maybe) going to invest in, and levy is not stupid just a point on the first post, i can quite believe there has been some problems between harry and the players some thing can't be right if 4 of our best players are (as stated in the press) wanting to leave Deffo more or less put himself on the market before the end of the season and we hardly played like a great team towards the end of the season.Maybe there is something going on and the talk of a takeover may be true. Also all of this talk about revealing a source if have followed this site for about a year and have never once seen anyone name a source so i think its wrong to use that in an argument just because you don't agree with someone elses views. peace and love coys x
Coys, Im not disagreeing with the thrust of the posts, its been said enough times that there has been dressing room unrest. The point im making is that IF you are going to say that you have "inside info" then tell us how you came about it. Ive been lurking and posting on here for as long as you have and, honestly, its got beyond a joke with posters telling us how they have inside info and "sources" when they plainly havent. So why say that you havent? Just give it to us as your opinion, what you have read etc and leave the horsesh*t at the door, unless of course you really do have a snout. . . .

BREAKING NEWS:Spurs chairman daniel levy in germany today to wrap up deals for tasci 11m and marin 17m these will be announced sometime over the weekend expect there to be movement out of the club next week as deals nearly agreed for palacios, bentley and jenas spurs hope to get a figure of around 18m- 20m for these three transfers.

Spurs are to loan Steve McClaren at Nottingham Forest one of their players? All i know is he used to play for Forest before? Sorry i can not name him for Legal Reasons.
