Is Chelsea going to make a move for VDV in the jan window? Do Chelsea want to be spurs as the keep saying that are team is no good but yet they want most of are players!

Not heard anything about VDV leaving Spurs, albeit Harry was less than impressed with his full back effort and subsequent comments. Personally I feel that VDV and Crouch were what was holding Spurs back from the next level, and with Damiao and Adebayor the need to disrupt the midfield with makeshift formations is becoming increasingly unlikely. Sandro, Parker, Modric, Huddlestone, Livermore and co provide ample options in midfield. He could fit in behind Adebayor but the width and pace of Bale and Lennon or dare I say it the possibility of Hazard would better suit a Adebayor Damiao partnership. The days are gone playing 4-5-1 defensive away formations, the ambition is top 4 and victory home and away is required. The only way spurs can realistically accomodate VDV long term is a 3-5-2 formation with Bale and Walker fullback and King Dawson and Cahill CB. That way there is room for any combination of 3 from Sandro, Parler, Modric, VDV, Huddlestone and Livermore.
