The sweeper is another 'ITK' blogger.
The only one 'in the know' is DL himself.
Will wait to read it on the official spurs sight when done thanks.
Sorry mate but this site is full of vertonghen this and damio that. All crap mate

That was on the spurs web site news page earlier. Just junk journalist regurgitation.
Must be a quiet news day. You may not believe it but, like some on here, some people do like to fabricate the truth.
When we sign anyone, you will read it on the spurs web site

TOTTENHAM FINALLY SET TO LAND VERTONGHEN

Tottenham are hopeful of tying up a £9.6 million move for Jan Vertonghen next week as they edge closer to an agreement with Ajax.

The Sweeper has learned that the Dutch giants have now indicated they are ready to accept Spurs’ offer for their captain, with the two clubs now mainly discussing the structure of the proposed payments.

Vertonghen will be in London next week for Belgium’s game against England on June 2, and Spurs hope to be able to conduct a medical for the defender before Saturday’s match.
Thanks for giving me some good news this morning COYS

Sources boys please?! {Ed001's Note - goal, hence why it has been cut off as they will just spam the pages with crap made up by kids in return for shirts.}

Players i would love at the lane next season-

Keeper- Hugo lloris or Fraser Foster.

Defence- Jan Vertonhen (if we dont do the deal, i'll be very pissed off)

Midfield- Junior Hoilett or Adam Johnson
Moussa Dembele.

Strikers-(2 0f these players)
Loic Remy, Leandro Damiao,
Emmanuel Adebayor, Gary Hooper

Players I'll get rid of-
Gomes, Friedel (done great for us but is not the future and if he's on the bench at that age, he'll get rusty) King, Nelson, Khumalo, Corluka, Bassong, Bentley, Jenas, Dos Santos, Kranjcar, Pienaar, saha...oh and i'll get as much money that Madrid are offering and get rid of cry baby Modric.

if we can do that, i think we'll be a force next season. Thats my thoughts guys...yourselves?

Strongly agree with you but if you are planning on getting rid of most of our centrebacks then we neeed one or two more as we would only have Dawson,Caulker (who I think should play for us next season) and vertonghen who is amazing but that is only 3 centrebacks and what happens if 1 gets injured then we have no cover for them as no one would be on the bench who is a CB I think we should try getting Tasci aswell as I have heard a lot of good things about him.

Agree2 Disagree6

Thats 12 players we need to find buyers for/release thats the size of the problem. Players like Pienaar and Bentley are on a huge packet too. We`re better placed than previous seasons having Nelsen/Gallas/Saha at the end of contracts but still have work to do

Agree3 Disagree3

Olivier Giroud would be my choice for a striker young, hungry, just won the French League at 25, breaking in to the French Squad, top scorer in his division, only on a reported £15k a week. Alas we've not been linked to him

Agree3 Disagree2

Thank god your not the manager!

Agree7 Disagree2

We will have enough centre backs in Vetonghen, Caulker, Dawson and Kaboul, not to mention Gallas has 1 year left on contract, and King for a handful of games. so we will have 5 possibly 6 centre backs next season. after we sign Vertonghen we need to sort out the forward line and get Adebayor and Remy / damiao and wing cover for both wings ideally one player in Hoillet / Moses.
