Gary Hooper of Celtic is back on the radar.

Would be a really good signing if we could get him for about 6 or 7 million

6-7 million, he really isn't that good.

Gary Hooper would be a good signing to come off the bench and defo do a better job than adebayor

Have to agree with the above, I. ve seen hooper loads of times and he plays one good game in five, he can be lazy, does. nt go looking for the ball, no this could be a mistake,

He might liven up a bit for us as he supposed to be a spurs boy through and through.

Hes a really good player got a good first touch and would do well for us

A superb goal scoring record, but even the Scots will tell you that Scottish Football is a shadow of the past. Scoring goals against Dundee, St Mirren, Ross County and Motherwell is hardly difficult these days.

He is a short player at 5ft 7ins, could be better than he has shown, but it is difficult to compare. Jelavic is a good example of success, but others have been less impressive. Recent years have seen many average Premiership flops move to Scotkand and have relative success.

He could be worth a chance, but I would prefer Defoe all day long. We don't need average prevents good players at Spurs when we have youth players better than most. We need to get rid of Adebayor and sign a world class proven striker. Hooper for £6m as a squad player I concur, but for me he would need to prove himself by taking the chances in Cup games before I considered him more seriously.

So what if he's playing in the spl he plays for celtic one of the biggest clubs in the world he's proved he's a good player by scoreing in the champions league against the best teams in europe

Agree0 Disagree4

We know it is a fact that he is scoring in the Scottish Premier League, the point is that league is a little like The Championship.

You mention how he has mixed it in the Champions League, well he has played 6 times and scored 2 goals. The first was an irressitable cross from Lustig that even Zokora would have put away against Spartak Moscow. Just to echo the point the Premiership reject Georgios Samaras also scored in the same match.

The other goal was against the same side at home. A shot from outside the box agsint a keeper that had 3 shots on taraget and let in 2 goals. To be fair he played really well in this match albeit against a very weak Moscow side.

Just to echo the point he didn't score agaist Benfica (A), Benfica (H), Barcelona (A) (Samaras scored btw just before you start telling me how goodBarcelona are, ad Hooper was the worst player on the pitch that night), Juventus (A), Juventus (H) (again the worst player on the pitch in a woeful show).

Then look at his SPL goals that he has scored;

Dundee FC, Motherwell, St Mirren, Hearts, St Johnstone, Ross County, Dundee United, Aberdeen and Inverness. Multiple goals against the same sides shows he is certainly consistent, but is absent at the level above.

There is a chance he could be better than the SPL, but whether he can improve Spurs is seriously debatable at best.
