the more and more this tevez saga goes on the more and more i can see him landing at spurs.

Believable9 Unbelievable5

They will not sell to spurs!

Agree6 Disagree3

If we offer the money they want then i bet they'll be tempted though!

Agree7 Disagree3

Do you really think that Levy will splash that amount of cash!

Agree5 Disagree2

Am I the only person who wouldn't have him near my team? Overrated as a player and a complete pain in the arse. Wouldn't touch him with a 20 foot pole. (evidentially not a popular stance though)

Ed, any truth in the rumours regarding a move for zarate of lazio? unbelievable talent, but a bit of a risk by all accounts, he may be the special player to give us an extra spark. {Ed002's Note - See above, or below.}

Spurs are being linked with mauro zurate on loan any truth to this ed? {Ed002's Note - I would suggest a loan of Zarate might make sense but buying him could be risky. But a loan would require him to be free of his existing loan at Inter and it is in the hands of Claudio Raneiri to decide if he keeps him at Inter the rest of the season or returns him to Lazio. Spurs, Arsenal, Rubin Kazam, Spartak Moscow, Lille, Newcastle and Blackburn have looked at him and declined his services in the past. I feel that if he does move this winter that a loan is less likely than a sale and that would probably rule out Spurs and Liverpool. Lazio would certainly like to be rid of the player.}

Mauro Zarate earns over 100k per week (more then BALE!); can carry the ball very well, BUT not the front line finisher we need?
Surely we need DAMAIO (or similar)?!

Ed, What (if anything) is going on at Spurs this transfer window ... Haryy seems otherwise engaged now ... ! :) and you would have thought we be a little pre-occupied with the court thing, which leaves Mr Levy sorting transfers .... Could be a good thing right ? v {Ed002's Note - I would not be surprised to still see a bid for Hoilett and there remains a long-term need for a centre back and a goalkeeper - Lameni was of interest but has moved on but Rene Adler may be a good option for now or the summer. But nothing really firm.}

I'd be happy with a few youngsters for the future. Kovacic would make my day. Get them signed and loaned back out build for a future of Champions League football

Agree1 Disagree0

Rather than hoilett .. Why not go for a youngster with bag loads of potential and go for Nathan Redmond ... If we get him now he could be our new and improved Lennon in a few years time ... Besides he's also English how much would he cost ?

Were just waiting on the green light for i'm told by a trusted source,the same source that told me that Neil warnock was getting the boot the morning before he actually did get the sack,any way i'm told if this deal can be made with this player and he won't tell me who and there are still a couple of hurdles he said,but a star signing could happen and pav is off to Germany if it does,so we know its a striker if pav's going but who? i think its tevez,a star signing he said

Agree4 Disagree7

I don't think it will be Tevez, sorry dude. After how close we were to beating City, at how much of a fuss Rednapp made after the Balotelli thing, I think the "relationship" we have with City isn't at its best.

Would you want to give a world class player to someone who is 8 points behind you, pay half his wages whilst having enough cash to not batter an eye lid to have him rott in the reserves for 6 more months?

No doubt Tevez will make us stronger but it's a gamble City do not need to take, which is unfortunate for us because I think he would bang in loadsa goals for the mighty spurs and could be the push we need to get 2nd!

It really doesn't look good for Harry at the moment, or the media are putting a convincing spin on the evidence....

I would say the longer Tevez is without a buyer in the window then the higher the chance of us getting him, albeit at it's highest it still won't be that great.

Man City could afford to let him rot but i'm not sure they want to, they're already trying to play the 'we're not buying the title' tag and getting resentful that most are sick of the endless money and their paranoia as well as Mancini's card-waving, Balotelli's antics on and off the pitch and knowing how obscene the money is that even the likes of Milner and Barry are on (who let's face it aren't fit to wipe Luka or Gaz's boots!). To be seen to let Tevez rot might make them look far more arrogant and/or ignorant as selling him to a rival. If we'd turned them over Sunday like we could have or even if it'd been 2-2 like it should have then it would be 0% chance rather than about 10%. I'm still sure there could be a deal done that gave him a signing on fee, reasonable salary and a bonus if we won the league, he could have a buy-out clause for the amount we pay and i think we/he would be fairly safe to move on to an Inter or Milan even as soon as the summer if need be if it didn't work out.
8pts still makes it possible as Harry would say. We have to just keep winning, particularly vs Liverpool away, Man Utd at home and get points off Chelsea and Scum. Man City have plenty of tough games too and teams will sit XI behind the ball like we've seen happen to us, they are also so focused on beating United we have some room to sneak up on them.

No need to be too despondent though, we have been the real deal and despite us all feeling we need another quality striker/another real star, poor old Ade has actually scored 3 perfectly good goals that have been chalked off against Stoke, Chelsea and Wolves....that means he would've earned us another 5points and we wouldn't feel quite so short or that he's mis-firing. They're not even debatable, they were all good goals and by the letter of the law should've stood.

There the hurdles probs, his wages and then city wanting to sell to a club that with tevez would destroy city HOME or AWAY. And Don't forget city want rid of tevez fall stop capital letters NO loan so as some one has already said the longer his not being signed by any one the bigger the chance good old ARRY has a doing a late deal

Agree1 Disagree0

Remember chaps, it's against Premier League rules to have two or more players on loan from the same parent club. This means that we can not have both Tevez and Abe on loan at the same time. One of them would need to be bought.
