We are closing in on Sahin.

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Where did this come from?!

Agree6 Disagree1

Can't really see Madrid getting rid of him so soon even if Modric being signed and Mourinho is a fan of his

Agree4 Disagree0

The only wat we get Sahin is as part of a deal for Modric going the other way ...and that Mr Levy would be a good piece of business with 30m for the new manager to spend.

You too have just copied, word for word, the Maria story. Just journalist stories.
No one has proof, all speculation at the moment and all you have done is add your 'opinion' at the end.
Until you see any player/manager holding a shirt, it is all speculation

I can't say how i know, but i know - wait a week and see -zac

Agree0 Disagree2

Bale will be gone in 2 weeks, he has cleared his boots from the locker room.

Agree0 Disagree6

Everybody has cleared their boots from the locker room you person as when they return for pre season it'll be at the new training facility in Bulls Cross, Enfield and not Spurs Lodge.

Agree4 Disagree0

Haha bale has removed his boots from training ground. You couldn't make up the stupidity of some people haha

Luka Modric has agreed to join Real Madrid from Tottenham, according to Marca, a Spanish daily with strong links to the La Liga giants.

The news broke on twitter just minutes ago after Marca published the story on their website.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

But, like the AVB July 1st story, it is still only journalist speculation

Marca - Luka Modric has agreed to Florentino Perez and Jose Mourinho. The Croatian international taste is both the president and the coach, which gives the operation a different shape. The Tottenham aims to be the player chosen to reinforce the Real Madrid for next season.

Many variables come to the Bernabeu Modric, beyond the claims of Florentino and Mou. For starters, the commitment of the player to leave Tottenham, where he has already completed a cycle after four seasons. Luka wants change of air and try another game.

In addition, Table lilywhite not have qualified for the Champions League this season, like last, where he also played the Europa League. And the slave wants to hear the song of the Champions League.

Then there is the desire of light playmaker signing for Real Madrid. It would be a key step in his career, now that is about to turn 27 (September 9) and is in full maturity football. The player would give a boost to his career. Such is the interest that even Mourinho could have done to get to football its strong interest in signing him by telephone.

With or without Kaka Kaka.
What's more, in Concha Espina seem determined to undertake this operation although Kaka is staying closer to leaving this late in the summer has just begun. In the offices had been raised only a movement of this size if the Brazilian way, but something has changed.

Mou not only sees the Croatian as playmaker, but also as a midfielder to play alongside Xabi Alonso in games against minor rivals. So you no longer need that 8 change of scenery to make room to Croatian.

In Madrid know that the transfer can go to 35 million euros. Although the operation is very complex and T4 at the Bernabeu not concerned that the numbers are so high, since it is contrasted clocking a player in the elite of European football, with quality goal and that has not yet attained the age of 27. The form will not be low. The Croatian handles more deals, so do not come for less than 5 kilos

What is this crap , is it in code or something ?? Do us all a favour , de code it , then post it so we can read it please !

Think this guy is trying to say Modders going to REAL for 35 million or some sort of drug deal going down.. not too certain

This translation gave me a headache from the amount of times I had to re-read! I was so confused!!

Journalists misinterpreting other journalists in a different language causes these types of confusion

It's 5.40am Sunday morning and I am at the back end of a four day bender, during which time I have excessively indulged in sex and powder up my nose, and without any sleep since Wednesday night. I am just starting to come back down to earth and to ease the mood I thought I'd see what rumors I've missed.
Let me tell you, that translation tripped me out and completed my oblivion!

From what i'm hnearing there is no done deal of any kind for a new manager. Vertonghen deal still very likely unless we have a new manager very soon who wants to pull the plug.
Our other likely signings however are not Damaio, Hulk or even Adebayour (especially now Harry's gone, that one will definitely wait) but more like Dembele, Sessegnon, Kalou, Ba or similar.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Dembele and Sessegnon would be most welcome me thinks

I would like to see martinez as manager. I can confrim that it will not be david moyes as i have close contact with one of his friends.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Got told 4 days before confirmed laudrup to swansea,b rogers to looserpool ,same source says avb, done deal to spurs, believe bookies 1/6....rayzor

Agree2 Disagree2

Is it just me or is anybody else totally underwhelmed by the by the management names linked with us

Agree8 Disagree0

I don't believe any of it. I heard blanc has signed a 4 year deal and has ratified the vertonghen deal. Apparently we are waiting for France to come out of euros.
Do not believe anything about anyone until it is on the spurs web page.
I'm fed up of being pulled this way and that

Agree4 Disagree0

Be surprised if Blanc had agreed and signed while still in the Euros unless of course he took his eye of the ball which resulted in the France loss to Sweden. Hope he doesn't get linked with another job if he does become the THFC manager ..be HR Part 2.

So we have Vertonghen & AVB sorted, now the big one Damiao is soon to be confirmed. Levy is seriously trying a double Brazilian coup with Hulk & Damiao. I seriously doubt that we will sign Hulk, but as other bolster their strike forces the possible avenues are getting more favourable for us.

On a negative note we have all seen the Modric rumours. It is liking more likely by the day that our little playmaker will be making way for Sessegnon. I am not sure if this is so bad as VDV can equally play a deeper role if we opt for 2 strikers. If we did get Sessegnon we would still have VDV and the returning Huddlestone to fill the spots around Parker and Sandro. In addition we have Livermore, Bentley & Jenas as well as a few promising younger players like Ceballos.

Whilst we are discussing all possibilities lets cover Gomes. Was he a total liability or is he deserving of another chance. I honestly think he needs to toughen up and stop being a hypochondriac. Is it just me or does Gomes seem to fake minor knocks into major injuries. It is as if his insecurity has driven him to fake these episodes to somehow appease the crowd and draw support. This lack of focus and continual prancing about have led to additional howlers which have destroyed his image. There is another though that says he is just terribly overly hyped. With the Butland and Green acquisitions looking tentative, perhaps Gomes will get his chance to shine again. I imagine a lot depends on the Brazilian strikers, as Levy will want familiarity to assist settling into the club if possible.

The Oracle

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Green looking tentative.......he's signed for QPR!!
What are you on about?

Agree5 Disagree1

Who says AVB and vertonghen are sorted?
Not in my book they are not and if I had a pound every time you said about damiao, I would be very rich.
I'm sure you are just a gooner winding us up

Agree3 Disagree1

Green signing looking 'tentative', he agreed a 2 year deal with QPR.
Muppet

Agree4 Disagree1

Hulk & Damiao? can i have toke on what you're somking.

Djr

Agree5 Disagree2

Just stop talking s**t

Agree3 Disagree4

In addition we have Livermore, Bentley & Jenas as well as a few promising younger players like Ceballos. That mob will terrorise defenses NOT

Agree3 Disagree1

AVB is not coming mate.

Agree1 Disagree6

I think you all need to lay off the oracle as soon as he says something you all jump on his case. If you don't like what he's saying move on to the next post.

Not saying I agree with him in any of his posts but this is just proof you lot need to grow up as u obviously didn't realise tentative means 'uncertain' so yes green has gone to qpr therefore oracle is correct.

Furthermore if you all really hate him that much then ignore him and reply sensibly to someone else, I mean is everyone on here only 12 years old or is there adults reading and responding? C'mon let's act our ages!!

Agree5 Disagree3

Obviously an anonymous post from the oracle above or someone had a crush on him
Take a chill pill mate anyway, it's called banter
Everyone has an opinion and show be allowed to express it
If you don't like the responses the oracle gets, like you said, moved on to the next post

Agree3 Disagree1

Oracles mum is in the house haha

Agree4 Disagree1

No deals can be completed untill 1st july when the transfer window opens.

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes everyone is entitled 2 there opinion so how come Oracle can't have his without the abuse?
"Oracles mum in the house", "someone who has a crush" lmao. Prove my point why don't you, surely you got homework to do stop wasting your time on here!!

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2012 17:46:39
avb is a done deal but his exit contract from chelsea says he cant work for anyone in the prem till the 1st july. So cant be announced till then.

At least if true he can get on with sorting out transfers behind the scenes, nothing stopping him doing his job just cant be announced.

Marc

Agree1 Disagree0

Bentley and Jenas need to be moved on. Sandro and Parker playing together did not seem to function to well based on our results. In fact Sandro looked more like himself once Parker went out injured. With Modric seemingly on his way to Spain, the new manager who ever he is has a major decision to make on how to lineup across the middle and with who ..cause I don't see Parker,Sandro and Hudd as a great attacking line up even if flanked by Bale and Lennon. Might work for certain away games were we need to restrict another teams midfield otherwise it's a little slow. And VDV's fitness and hamstring issues worry me about making him the midfield ball distributor, he has the talent though but probably fits better having just off a lone striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why are people suddenly defending the oracle above. 'oracles mum is in the house' LMFAO classic. By the way 'oracle defender' he had spent transfer window after transfer window spouting absolute rubbish, so he probably does get a lot of people's backs up when spouting garbage about our club. So, calm yourself down and I tell you, the majority of people on here are so unbelieving now of the so called, self proclaimed, oracle

Agree0 Disagree2

Dear oh dear why keep doing it to yourself?

Right, so lets not lie to ourselves, we're not 100% sure who are manager is going to be, but there are 3 or 4 contenders for the job.
This doesn't change the players that we should sign though.
It's clear to all that we need a striker, a midfielder if modric goes, and a centre back. Possibly a keeper, but not definately needed.

Ed, have you heard any rumours about who we may get to fill in any of these positions?
What are your guys thoughts about who we should get?

The Sledgehammer {Ed001's Note - without a manager? No, no point even trying to find out because the new man will want final say, this is one of the things holding everything up.}

2 million for Frazer Foster. Why dont we go for him? great keeper, young and a very good price {Ed007's Note - The £2 million fee is exclusive to Celtic so Newcastle can ask for more from other teams, plus Celtic would be due money to buy out their option to buy him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Hes Young, 6ft 7 and available. Whether his good enough is a different story.

Why do other fans say that Moussa Dembele would be a great signing? He has less of a goal threat than Modric. Id mutch rather see Victor Moses than that donkey. At least he young, can improve and scored vital goals in a poor side last season.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

How is moses a replacement for modric?

Agree1 Disagree0

You haven't watched Dembele have you? If he was in a free flowing attacking team like our, he would shine incredibly. The way he drifts pass players with ease is astonishing at times. I'd sign him in a heart beat!

Saint.

Agree3 Disagree1

Ridiculous to write him off as a "donkey" because he's 'not a goal threat'. He's creative, young, strong, quick, can spot a pass, skillful etc and IMO would be a brilliant addition to the squad. However, I do agree that we should be aiming a little higher, but I would not complain if this guy came in.

Agree2 Disagree1

The only thing missing from Modric's game is 10-15 goals a season

Agree3 Disagree0

Mate Dembele is class, he's only 24 and IMO Fulham and possibly even belgiums best player

Agree4 Disagree3

Charlie Adams scored vital goals for blackpool 2 seasons ago......just look at how TERRIBLE he turned out.
