Berba to meet with Levy in the US
Watch this space.

Do you really think Levy would waste any time or breath speaking to this arogant fool. Why would our chairmen sign Berba when he has previously caused great trouble for us. Levy will never ever sign this moran...

The idea of getting AVB was to move forward and take us to the next level, signing Vertonghen and Siggurdson is a step in the right direction but Berbatov would be a step backwards, he's lazy and only performs when it suits him, would far rather see someone young with plenty of enthusiasm

I'd take a class footballer with proven Prem goals scoring record for £5m rather than somebody 'keen' costing double/treble and being a gamble. Can't have little or no experience in your squad or team!!

Gio could be on his way to Napoli. They've shown slight
Interest in the player since the departure of Lavezzi.

Ipswich have close links with Spurs, having already agreed a deal to take Luongo on loan, They may try a cheeky bid to bring Gio back to Town.

He would go Napoli and warm the bench too.

Gio won't go to italy, he has his heart set on spain. Like last year when he rejected the contract from udinese after they bid 13 million

If the likes of Hulk, Oscar, Falcao, Damiao, Moutinho,Dzago,Gansco,Lorrente and the rest that we have been linked with all wanted to play in the PL then we would end up signing one of these superstar players as there is not enough top teams for all of them but i doubt if even half of them have even ever considered the PL it's just media hype, i'm sure we will get a top striker cant see it being a megastar though

I'm not saying this is true, but I do believe Spurs are interested in him. I heard DL was making a bid for him, but it's highly unlikely he will leave within a year of joining them with such success. However, AVB is very interested and Falcao probably wouldn't mind working for him again.
John COYS!

I guess the one positive is that AM are under a lot of pressure from their bankers to sell him, but if they do there would be huge interest from quite a few clubs
It would be fantastic if we could pull off a deal like that but I would think he'd have better offers
Agree2
Disagree0
Why would hulk need to fly all the way out to us to sign after all if he wants to sign for spurs he would just wait till AVB bk in uk and he wouldnt fly out to us anyway as hes involved in the olympic football team which is due to start so wont be nothing happening for a few weeks
Agree1

Have links with Spurs backroom staff and this really does have some truth behind it. The player is keen on the switch having played under AVB at Porto and is guaranteed playing time at Spurs.
Levy won't do the deal until Modric is gone. If the deal does go through for Falcao, there is little chance Adebayor will sign.

Would be a great signing but i dont think where going to get him.......

From my knowledge this is a very decent "rumour"
History of spurs and their transfer policy would state otherwise, however last years flirt with the top of the table has made DL realise that in order to challenge with the best sometimes you have to take a risk.... Falcao would be a risk money wise for a club like spurs, but performance wise, he will be worth every penny the club pay for him!
Can picture him in a spurs shirt already scoring 4 past the scum!
Agree0

Guys, I will say this now. falcao moved to Atletico for 35 million last year. He then top scored in la liga outside barca and rm. If he moves, it's 50 million at least
Agree2

Never ever gonna happen, as much as we would all love it. fantastic player, we simply do not have that kind of money. if this player becomes available all of the worlds best/richest will be battling, and unfortunately thats a few seasons to early. Having said all this we are definitely on the up and i feel optimistic for the new season. COYS

Brilliant; just logged on to find we have now moved onto Falcao?!
I love it when our fans wish so hard; they start to convince themselves - like waking up and thinking a dream is real!!

In the next couple of days tottenham will accept a bid of 34m plus add ons for Modric. Levy does not want to spoil the great relationship we have with Real Madrid. Any other club would have to pay 40m.....Minimum!
Levy will use the money to purchase both Moutinho and Hulk for a combined fee of 62m. To us Spurs fans this does sound ludicrous and very unrealistic however you guys have to realise that this is the beginning of something very special at the lane. The reason money was hidden away from Harry was purely down to him being very selfish and the lack of amition he showed for our club.
Money is available for avb and he will constantly look to improve our squad.
Butland, Hulk, Moutinho and Ade will sign for the club with around 6/7 fringe players shown towards the exit door!
People will deny and call me insane but I am one of many who's realise we are no longer a midtable team.
You will ALL see the ambition Tottenham will shown within the next couple of weeks.
God Bless all you yids....

Each of your statements are your personal reactions to the press you have read.
For the last 3transfer windows I have read about the 6-7 players we will let go, but they seem to be attached with a rather special blend of "no more sales" glue!
As for your wish list of players (hulk, mouthino..) I'll add mine; Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney will all sign in the next 2wks?!
Please can we keep the "hopes and dreams" on the Banter page!

I don't understand why some spurs fans constantly think it's alright to take the piss out of another. I currently live in England but have had contact with sources in Portugal saying that hulk is on his way to White Hart Lane. Aparently it's a transfer that will shock the premiership. Moutinho is a nailed on deal mate. You don't have to believe me but I'll be back very soon.........let's say 3/4 weeks to say I told you so.
The editor on this site will want to form a tight friendship once these deals happen.
No bulls*** Lads........just believe!

Why do you think the reason some spurs fans take the p.ss?
Is it really that difficult to work out.
Is because 99.9% of 'itk' on this site is from attention seeking morons or nomads.
What you have just predicted (signings), is what most avid readers/posters read every day on this forum and most of it is crap.
So excuse us for slating these supposedly 'in the know' fans.
Agree4

Above poster, just read above (about falcao), contradicts what you have just posted. Are we gonna sign them all? Lol
That is why some slate most rumour mongers. It is all BS

Porto, it is claimed, only own 85% of Hulk and they want some £35-£38 million for their share which means the transfer fee would be toward £40 million and his wage would be between £110k & £150k a week. A 5 year deal would cost in excess of £60 million. Is that affordable?
Turning to Modric his only destination is Real and they know it. DL has backed himself into a corner and if they pull out, which is a real possibilty then what then?
Agree2
Disagree5
Oh god; this guy is David Icke!
nobody is taking the piss (maybe just a little?)
Moutinho is far from a certainty; hang on, no you are right both - he and Hulk have decided to hold hands and skip to WHL.. who can blame them?
Levy will risk the clubs financial future for you to be right..
Agree5
Disagree1
How much will this cost lightning ?
Agree2
Disagree0
Selling Modric and signing Hulk and Moutinho for a net cost of 28m isn't financially outside the realm of possible. History tells me it won't happen, but it would be nice to see and would signal a major change in the approach being taken by ENIC for whatever reason.
Agree4

Haha 'hiding money', why would anyone do that?, who cares about great relationships, apart from Van Der Vaart Madrid aint done no business with us at all apart from thash us 5-0.

What's the point in slandering people if it doesn't come true fair enough but I can a bid happening but the likelihood is small just wait and see instead of jumping n the bandwagon again.

Above but one poster 'DL has backed himself into a corner, so what then?'...
Guess what, WE KEEP HIM!!
Who is backed into the corner then.
We DON'T need his money to survive!
He had 4 years left.
AVB wants him.
The modric and tevez situations last season shows you the player, for his career, had to back down.
He is not RVP in the last year of a contract.
We CAN'T lose.
We either get the fee, or we keep modric.
No that difficult to work out, is it really
Agree3
Disagree3
I really don't see us spending that kind of money and sincerely hope we don't as I don't really think either player is worth anything like the money being asked. They are both overhyped and there are far better options around
However as said I can't see us going for either at anywhere near the prices Porto would want
Agree1
Disagree0
We will be lucky to get 30mill for modric. Real Madrid have bid 27 million and I doubt they will go higher knowing modric is now throwing out his pram toys and not going to America with the team and not telling anyone.
The longer this transfer saga lasts, the more it hurts spurs. Madrid are not desperate for the transfer (they have alonso, sahin, lassana and khedeira to name a few. In other words they can wait unroll the last day for this transfer, spurs can't.we need to sell soon and get a replacement for AVB to work with.

What makes me laugh about you guys saying he will want this wages , he will want that wages ! How do you know? I think your die ding far to much time in football manager , hulk who is relatively unproven IMHO albeit quality would not demand 150k a week I bet he is not even in 50k in Portugal ,

And if modric refuses to play he will get fined his wages all the while not that hes on a lot as he didnt sign a new deal lol

Essex yid, he's only on about 35k at the moment and so is moutinho. Porto do not generate enough money to be paying 90/100k a week for players.
*lightning*
Agree2

The rumour is , and yes rumour, that he wants between £110 & £150k a week. He will want at least what Bale is on and then some. He is , yes rumoured, to be on about £60k a week at Porto.
Quite simply the wage bill is already going to rocket following the summer signings and the increased contract for Bale. Spurs havent got CL and cant increase borrowings or have money from a benefactor so afford how?
Agree0
Disagree1
DL may well have got away with Moderic situation last season but lets face it he wants away and can Spurs really allow a £20-£30 million asset play without heart and therefore his value dwindle?
It seems to be a significant portion of the huge transfer kitty was dependant on Moderic leaving.
Agree1
Disagree0
Exactly lightning so the guy posting he is going to request 150k a week , why ? So he wants about a 500% increase lol don't think
To much Fm2012 I think
Agree0

According to reports in Portugal Hulk is Portos top wage earner on £55k a week. Again accoring to reports Hulk has been offered £110k a week to go to Chelsea, which is a 100% rise and not something thats unusual for a player whose transfer fee will be in excess of £25 million.
Once a club strats offering players over a £100k a week (which is what it is said Bale is on and what Ade has been offered) then thats the target wage for players arriving with a big transfer fee or on a Bosman.
If you want to attract top players and you cant offer CL you have to offer top top wages.
Ask yourself why would the likes of Hulk choose Spurs?
In 5 weeks time we will know if the club are pushing the boat out or its just media hype
