After todays performance, i cant see why we need to buy. we played excellent! only reason we would need to buy is if we sell the likes of pav, corluka, bassong ect.

And if Ade gets injured what will we do ? JD can't hold the line up front on his own. Our back line is not stable due to constant injuries to 1 or more of the CB's. Team an be improved with a couple of good signings, not a time to be standing still,possibly the weakest EPL in years.

Completely agree with the first reply need to strengthen now and sign a striker at least, a cb if one is available to play alongside Kaboul who is class. Would also try for De Jong seeming as we are now not a threat to them ;)

Re Clint Dempsey, got to agree with original poster, he is quality. Alot better than Pav and one of the most underated forwards in the prem.

He's not a foward he's an attacking midfielder. {Ed001's Note - Dempsey mostly plays as a striker, though he has played wide on the left, right and as an attacking midfielder. So I would class that as a forward personally.}

Mc deuce has always been a player who makes my sun dream team. And yes he is underrated along withtim cahill (but he has been poor this season) iv wanted him at the lane until we got vdv. He plays the same position as vdv. Cm/winger but best as attacking mid
