You don't work for THFC because if you did you would know that we have already made an approach but we cannot offer him the wages he wants ,why lie?

I wasn't claiming 2b part of VB's management team just stating I work there and there are a few whispers about him. Mayb since our last approach we have had a review of our wage structure??

How much would julio cesar cost?
i was keen on getting lloris but if cesar is cheaper i would happily have him at the club {Ed007's Note - I read somewhere (not sure where or how reliable) that Roma had bid 3 million Euros for him.}

berba seen at new training facility with spurs pushing for an 8.5m deal.
Opinions please?

Think i've already posted about Ade and Berbs enouhg times to say look at the goals they score, what they create, how proven they are in our league and at £12m ish worth of transfer fees would be a bargain. Yes the wages would be fairly high but we're talking about Premiership goalscorers that we need and we'd have to find £tens fo millions and big wages to probably still struggle to sign a 'big' name who'd be unproven in English football. Buy him!

DL will not him anywhere near spurs.
He gave DL probably his worse press as our chairman. I would need to see or hear proof of this 'sighting' before I started believing it.
My opinion, he had stated he will prob leave man utd, we are looking for strikers. 2+2=5
Lazy journalism I say

I cant see berbatov coming back even if i wanted him to can you see daniel levy forgetting how we was left in the lurch a few years ago by him, another indication that this deal wont happen is avb preffering younger players i cant see how signing a 30 year old player would be on his radar. ive asked around about a takeover should get some news over the next week or so. anything more realistic happening anybody?

I too would be happy with the purchase of Berbs and Ade, maybe in a year or two we will be champions league regulars and can then spend big on a quality striker who will want to come to us because we can offer champions league games.
That was Levy's view back in January and it didn't work (in regards to buying Nelson and Saha for 6 months then buy big players now). I'm hoping it will work now.
Plus if we buy these players, it will only help fund RVP leaving Arsenal as they can offer a bit more...... well kinda lol
Would Levy agree to having Berbs back? Mancini forgave Tevez......

We got £32-33million for him, Levy could have stood firm a-la Modric but took a lot of money instead, i'm sure it softened the blow somewhat no matter what the circumstances. If he gets him 'on the cheap' now to do a job for us then it saves him spending/risking £20million+ on a name while we don't have CL football and too small a stadium. He has then ultimately won the war even if he sort of lost a battle 4years ago.

Berba is in south Africa with united at the moment. Trust me I am a united fan and just watched him play in the first preseason friendly . Played really well by the way and set up macheidas goal by the way....

TOO old, 2nd time round hardly ever works and the way he left us was really bad pity cos he was classy for us and i'm a fan of his

Amazing ball control - incredible ability to find space - but exudes lazinesss and sulkiness - EXACTLY what we don't need - energy and commitment - no way will DL or AVB even give it a second though.

If Ade wants to see out his time at man city because of money then i say let him! at the end of the day why should spurs pay him 175K a week? the players you could get if we was to offer that kind of money we wouldn't even look and Ade IMO.
Shame because i did think he wanted to play for spurs and it was not just about the money.
I was very wrong!
So who should we get? What do the mighty spurs think.

He divides opinion but I think remy is the best option. Marseille are prepared to sell, he's affordable and can play on the right as cover for lennon. I'd prefer Damiao but it's never going to happen.

Spurs cant pay 175k a week, it would destroy their wage budget.

He can see out his contract at Man City but won't ever play so what does he do then when nobody will give him a big contract having been out of the game so long. He can maybe go to Russia or China but this way he can guarantee a 3yr deal on £100k+ a week and chance to earn another good contract for 2-3 more years afterwards and actually play in a top league. Let's wait and see anyway, another poster is right, he does give a lot of money away, as does Drogba so it's not all about the money just for themselves.
Remy - no thanks.
