Dembele- £10 mil (max 15) Quality replacement for Modric at a good price as he is in the last year of his contract with Fulham. Doesn't give the ball away, can beat a man, and is almost always going forward in the midfield, something we lacked on Saturday.

Adebayor- £6 mil Llorente is going to Juve, Damiao is probably too pricy and Carroll is an enormous risk. Say what you want about Ade's wage demands, if we can sort a deal for him he is a proven goal scorer, knows the club and was huge for us last season (17 goals, 11 assists= 28 out of our 66 league goals).

Sessegnon- £10 mil The bookies have had us odds on to sign this boy all summer, so they must know something. Can play in any of the front 4 positions in the 4-2-3-1; creative through the middle, pacy with end product on the wings, and even a few goals if played as a makeshift forward. 7 goals and 9 assists isn't far behind Bale's contribution for us last year, he would provide great competition across the attacking midfield and forward line, and at a good price.

All 3 players could be signed with the Modric money, and with the fringe players likely to go out on loans or be sold, wages won't be a problem. This would leave us with a quality squad capable of getting in the top 4. COYS.

Believable11 Unbelievable9

Sessegnon and Dembele nowhere near what we need
We also need a striker who gets in the box far more frequently than Ade and is a far more clinical, for all Ade's goals and assists the majority were made in only a handful of games

Agree4 Disagree5

Thats a quality post three quality players we could easily get,ade is prob worth it with small transfer fee and the three would definitely improve us.nice one for that nice little reality check

Agree6 Disagree1

Dembele is quality and is the kind of player to fill Modrics boots, would love it if we singed him and I can assure all you doubters would be eating your words... quality end of!!

I agree throw them 3 in the squad and happy days ahead!!

Agree4 Disagree0

Completely agree with Dembele, very good player and will only get better with better players, as for the other 2 IMO we shouldn't go anywhere near them, Sessegnon is not top 4 quality and Ade is a money grabber, and once he gets a perm contract will only cause us problems like he has done at all his clubs, and lets not forget we don't have Arry to put his arm around him, AVB ain't got the man management skills Arry had so once AVB annoys him, he won't wanna play anyway.

THFC4EVER

Agree2 Disagree0

Sunderland fan and thats a good post i think not if but when we sign adam johnson then sessegnon will be allowed to leave and with reports in our local papers linking us with some of your players rose huddlestone jenas and defoe i think that sessegnon could become part of any of these deals mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Man u have made a bid for dembele which was knocked back

Agree1 Disagree0

Daniel levy is my uncle and he said that he is just a few days away from signing hernandez and johnson

Agree1 Disagree9

Yeah right, and AVB is my brother and as said Messi, Ronaldo and Damiao are signing by Weds night too.

I know this is a rumour site but please thats be serious, if DL was your uncle you wouldn't be posting on here.

THFC4EVER {Ed008's Note - Lmao

Agree2 Disagree1

I am Daniel Levy's brother, father of his nephew and you'll be happy to know I have confiscated the lying little S**t's lap top so he will not be posting any more nonsense on here!

Oh just a tip, my brother told me Stefan Freund has been practicing his shooting so we have cover...

Ed's

I know you don't like to speculate, but do you think spurs may sign before the window shuts, realistically. Interested to hear your thoughts.

Welshyid. {Ed008's Note - They will sign at least 1 player a striker hopefully.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I think we will make 3 signings, but I don't think they will be the bog signings that people are expecting doesn't mean they won't work out though

Agree1 Disagree2

I think ade but id be happy with dzeko. Adam Johnson would improve squad as to sessengnon. Bit worried Hudd being farmed out on loan and dawson linked with QPR. Surely Daws is better than Gallas. if Daws go we need another CB.
I always trust Levy but with just one striker and time ticking Iam beginning to worry.

Agree0 Disagree0

King saha nelson corluka krancjar Pav pinearr bassong, Huddlestone going out on loan (sky) that's 9 not including mordic we've got 2 in , I really hope levy just making room coz squad wise were weak my opinion

Adebayor is done!

Spurs Lad

Believable6 Unbelievable10

What is your source?

Agree4 Disagree1

Right, and Levy decided to tell you but not put the news on the club website? Muppet

Agree7 Disagree1

HP sauce, Spurs Lad, you seem to have gone off the boil recently. Even ADEs' tweets don't mention that and he would be the first to mention it!! its his ego thing lol

Agree5 Disagree1

Deal done last night and be medical today! Trust me
Daniel L.
p.s don't expect me to spend anymore money

Agree0 Disagree2

Spurs lad is clueless

Agree3 Disagree1

I am going to stand up for Spurs lad because the agreement is in place, its just the registration takes a little time to go through.
From all of the people I ask who are not wrong 90% of the time have said this is a done deal.

Get rid of Modric for 35-40m. Replace with Isco for 12m and Moussa Sissoko for 8-10m. Jake Livermore looked out of place Saturday. Spend the rest on strikers and a goal keeper. Go 10m for Butland and loan him back for the year. Anyone think that Kevin Gameiro would be a good option given PSG are doing the ManCity. They might accept and want to get some of that money back. Much rather have Pato than Llorente, don't see Milan selling anyone else. Get Ade in and get some youth ie: Raheem Sterling, M'baye Niang, etc.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

If only it was that easy.
Transfer window old be open for a day.

Agree10 Disagree0

We are in talks with wolves to take fletcher huddlestone as a make weight in deal he doesn't want out but maybe a long term loan and we can do business ex wwfc player my source.

Agree2 Disagree4

By all accounts media reports state that flecther is about to join sunderland

Agree1 Disagree0

Im sorry, but flecther just isn't good enough for us. Wolves/Sunderland is just about his level - no disrespect to them.

Flippit

Agree0 Disagree0

Tottenham dont need a replacement for modric. We have Huddlestone, Livermore, Parker, Sando, sig. All are good player. Livermore is quite young sando is young to. All we need is a striker.

Bad news guys apparently Canal+ very reliable source are saying llorente is close to moving to arsenal for around 18 million. What the hell is levy doing? He needs to get his head out his rear end and get a striker.

Believable4 Unbelievable11

That was this morning. Seems its juventus again this afternoon.

Agree2 Disagree0

20 Aug 2012 15:16:42
Hernanes and Pjanic the latest two to be linked as Modric's replacement. IMO both are good players but are both more attacking playmakers, rather than midfielders who can control the tempo of the game and initiate attacks while getting box-to-box like Modric did. Moutinho would obviously be the ideal player, as he has all the necessary characteristics and can be AVB's midfield general. A lot of rumours seem to suggest that despite the price there is a good chance of this eventually happening, although I'm definitely sceptical. I'd really like Dembele; he has a lot of quality, would want the move and the price wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Man u are in for dembele

Agree2 Disagree2

Enough's enough.Levy out.

Agree13 Disagree14

All this talk of levy out is embarrassing. You look at other clubs like Blackburn and Everton. Campaigning against the owner isn't how spurs do things. You are supposed to be supporting the club not moaning like a little girl. A true fan will support regardless of who is in charge and who is in the kit. COYS

Agree17 Disagree14

Well said mate ^^

Haymaker

Agree8 Disagree4

Levy does this every year waiting to the last minute its time for him to go.

Agree7 Disagree5

I wasn't moaning just stating Levy out.I travel up & down the country week in/out as a TRUE fan should.Levy's dealings are embarrassing if he wants to push for a champions league position. You are a defeatist...Go support Norwich

Agree11 Disagree4

If your that much of a fan then stop moaning about levy, i'm sure he is doing his best to bring in quality.

Agree6 Disagree8

Well said

Agree4 Disagree4

Well his best obviously isnt good enough ! He has had three seasons to find us one good CF and now we are left with Defoe , not good !!
Davo

Agree11 Disagree1

Ps . I also spend a bloody fortune travelling up and down the country supporting Spurs , so in a way , I have a right to spout my opinions !!
Davo

Agree9 Disagree1

Before levy we were mid table mediocrity! Stop moaning!! We all want us to sign the best players possible but so is everyone else!! If you want to support a team with loads of money go to manchester!! until levy is taking money out of the club he is doing nothing wrong!! All he wants is to keep his best players and buy the best players available!! i honestly dont no why people are moaning!

Agree7 Disagree7

He's too mean to bring quality in.

Agree6 Disagree1

Levy has backed the club with millions and is one of the best chairmen around , back levy look how far we come from the old days
Back team levy & AVB !!

Essex yiddo

Agree5 Disagree5

True fans DO support the club and whoever plays in the kit, however it is us true fans that also line the pockets of Levy and Co. And we are all entitled to an opinion about who would like in and out from Players to Staff and even upto board level, so let the guy/girl have the say, IMO if Llronte moves to ARSEnal, along with Modric going and all the other targets we have been linked to and missed out on because of Levy's penny pinching attitude then I completely agree that Levy needs to go, I backed Levy in January with everything going on with Arry, but now is the time to splash the cash and move onwards and upwards. If Levy can't provide that then he needs to move aside for someone who can.

THFC4EVER

Agree5 Disagree0

Oh dear oh dear spuds fans in house fighting hopes it shows in the stands and then the dressing room lol

Agree2 Disagree5

Trouble is, we are not in the CL. Partly levys and Harry's fault.
We are trying for players that we will struggle to convince to come, and we are offering minimum money.
Most teams, identify their targets, and get them.
We go for the ungettable, they move on, them we have the likes of Saha and nelson left.
When will we learn, we have to identify our targets early and get them ie Verts and Siggs, both of whom, I might add, weren't avb's signings.
AVB has not got one of his own targets yet, ade isn't one either. We need to get busy or we will be too far behind before we get started.

Agree2 Disagree0

No infighting here mate. See you wasn't brave enough to show your team.
Would that make your comment hypocritical?
COYS

Agree0 Disagree2

Lets just see when levy signs a few more quality player..he will be getting praised
Dapz

Agree3 Disagree0

If he digs in to his pocket , buys the right players , then I will be the first there to say ' well done but it sure took some time ' . Besides , is it his own pocket that gets dipped into , not sure ??
Davo

Agree1 Disagree2

The issue is we don't really know which players we have gone after. We know about lots of players we are linked to by the media, even I could do that, but does the club really scout and make approaches for any of these players only the managent knows for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoever bought up the champions league made a very good point. Let's be honest we were bang on for 3rd/4th and it was us bring classic hard luck hotspurs that we didn't get in. Levy and his homies had probably planned their window assuming we had the extra cash. At the very last minute we lost out and it threw the plan out the window

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Davo.

Agree1 Disagree0

To our fans moaning about levy, i bet the other london fans are gloting at your moaning, just remember levy takes hes orders from joe lewis. so if u are going to pop at anyone pop at lewis. the invisible owner, get off levys back

Agree1 Disagree0

Everyone moaning about last minute dealings! ofcourse there not ideal but if he continues to get players in last minute that do aswell as vdv and scott parker have for a very good price i wont be to upset. He manages to get a lot of money for players he sells e.g berbatov and brings players in for very good prices

Can anyone tell me, if we have a genuine interest in Aumabeyang? he is quality player.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

French press have said we've sent scouts to watch him. Good player, can play up top or out wide, so maybe a possibility, but if we are only going to sign one striker, as AVB has said, I doubt it would be him.

20 Aug 2012 12:34:37
Ok. Got another bit of ITK for my Spurs brethren.

It's not good news peeps. We were all hoping that Chamack was just newspaper gossip but I can exclusively reveal that it's pretty likely.

With the Modders deal taking time Levy is unlikely to sanction any decent funds for spending and apparently hasn't given up hope of stalling long enough to see the transfer window close. Chamack is seen as cheap and cheerful. Let's not forget that before he went to Arsenal he was one of THE most sought after forwards in Europe. Maybe we could turn him like we did Ade? I'd laugh if he signed and started banging the goals in.

I should be getting more top quality ITK b4 the end of the transfer window so........

Watch out!
Keep 'em peeled
Listen to me
All will be revealed.

Chamach

Agree1 Disagree9

Dont believe this. I think we should burst the bank for Butland. He will prove to be a bargain at whatever he costs. The guy is superb. Would also love Dembele. He is brilliant. Can ghost past players as if they were not there and scores goals. He would be awesome with Spurs. Finally, Ade would be great and this could do us as I think we should be grooming Kane and Coulbally (hope I spelled that right).I have great faith in DL. Yes he f---ed up last year in not signing a striker in January but he is a shrewd operator and probably thought that top four spot was in the bag (which we got). he was dreadfully unlucky that those wa---rs won the CL. We are lucky to have such a brilliant Chairman so go easy on him, please.

The Don

Agree8 Disagree4

This better be a joke. That or we have ne of the best striking coach in the world to turn him into a world class striker.

The Rabbit

Agree0 Disagree2

We've been trusting levy for so long now but too no avail. I'm giving him until 1st of September. If there isn't a "big" money signing (I'm thinking around the 20mil mark) you can find me at the lane. I'll be the one with the "levy out" banner

Agree9 Disagree1

This Is RUBBISH!!..Because a spokesman for spurs has said that the chamack rumour i just that..a rumour and there is no truth in it so your Brethrin is either a lier or doesnt exist

Arsenal fan ( in peace) Chamak was a decent striker for us B4 RVP came back from injury he hit the EPL running, with RVP in the team though he never got a game then when a biot rusty, he would not be a bad signing especially for under 5 Mil (realistic) you want to stay away from Adebayor though, just go on his twitter and enough said.
hope you lot finish top 4 (aslong as its under us :p)

dan

Agree3 Disagree2

Cheers Dan, despite you lot losing RVP and Song for different reasons, Wenger has been back to his best with preparing BEFORE it happened because he knew it was inevitable. Podolski, Giroud, Cazorla (in particular) - at least two will end up quality and we'll be behind yet again because we can't solve a striker problem properly for 2yrs and we have already dropped 1-3pts out of 3pts! Again we've failed to realise the season starts BEFORE the window shuts. As much as I admire Levy for most things, surely he can work out that doing this last year resulted in a rank start that cost us a Champions League place as much as the bad spell in 2012, that's cost £20-30million as well as the stigma of 'only' being in the Europa League when trying to make new signings....the same may have just happened against Newcastle.

Agree2 Disagree2

Interesting to know which of the facts above prompted a 'disagree'? Maybe the somebody optimistically thinks we may finish above them but, as much as that would be great, we still didn't last year when we should have coasted 3rd and, we're going backwards so far in terms of squad. Sig and Vert in but Ledley, Modric, Ade out...that is not progress. The season has started and we have lost already.

Agree1 Disagree1

What is this bad start to last season i keep reading about 1st game was called of due to the riots hardly levys fault then we lost to city and utd and whos to says we wouldn't have lost those two anyway, we then went on one of the best runs in our clubs history, hardly a terrible start to the season

Agree1 Disagree2

Truly this is rubbish

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy had held out for a £40million offer for the Croatian midfielder, but the Spanish champions thought they had finally persuaded him to accept a package potentially worth £35million.However, talks designed to finalise the deal on Friday apparently ended in acrimony.Levy angered Madrid officials, including manager Jose Mourinho, by demanding an additional £2million at the last minute.Mourinho is seemingly now ready to call the transfer off, rather than meet Tottenham’s new demands.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

20 Aug 2012 11:15:04
Is it true we have made an Approach for Carroll for a bid in the region of just under 15 mil ?

however bad a season he had a LFC guys hes big powerfull started to play great football end of last year was good in euros hes a big powerfull foward hes young and i belive somone already pointed out maybe we could offload lennnon for him.

really hope this is true

Believable3 Unbelievable7

You have got to be kidding me!

Agree2 Disagree4

Offload lennon??? why on earth would we want to do that?

Agree10 Disagree0

Oh my god are you r*******! Offload a fast quality winger who looked good against Newcastle to sign a player being linked to west spam! Are you firstly on crack secondly a gooner trolling! Get Ade in a sign another striker like Huntelaar, we could pick him up for about 16 million. Or screw it we could sign Owen and Heskey on free's and look forward to play in the championship next season. I think DL needs to wake up and take a risk and spend big get the players in and see if AVB can make things happen!

Agree2 Disagree2

No maybe you need to wake up big players will not come yet carroll for 15 mill is a steal especially with the wingers we have the suplly he would get would be a lot better then has been seen at liverpool where he hasnt really been given a chance he is ideal for the middle people like lorrente damiao are pipe dreams at the moment and ade its not going to happen his a greddy git and at 180 grand a week will do nothing but eat away at the budget we do have carroll in pjanic in and meriles in that is all we need and we will get top four maybe if chelsea will sell strurridge also would be a good buy im telling you now carroll is a more then viable option at 14 mil

Agree4 Disagree2

Offload Lennon for him?! Is this a wind up. Ok so we're so desperate for a striker now, it should be two and needs to be two, but now we'll be made to feel grateful if it's just one (and one we had all last season anyway!) but, even though i've found myself seeing the benefits of Carroll and thinking maybe he's worth a punt, it's only because we're so desperate and certainly not at the expense of losing a senior attacking player for him.

Agree0 Disagree2

Offload lennon mate next i spose we should offload bale and walker aswell noticed you left that post anonymous prob a good idea

Agree0 Disagree0

If offload lennon, it would be better to close the club

Ligue 1 outfit Rennes have confirmed that a move for midfielder Yann M’Vila is back on with the 22 year old closing in on a move to Tottenham – despite interest from Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal. A spokesman for the French club stated, the clubs are still a little way off in our valuation but I'm confident of the move being completed soon.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

All brinkmanship to get arsene whinger to bid for him.

Is there any chance instead of adebayor we can get Dzeko from City, proven goal scorer and given the chance of regular starts could score us a hat full and also more likely that he will show better commitment?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Manchini doesn't want to let him go and even is he did let him go it would be for around £16mil ( 4x the price of adebayor! )

Agree1 Disagree0

For £16million, snap their bloody hands off!!

Agree3 Disagree0

Would like him at Spurs however no chance in my mind, especially now Aguero is now injured!

Agree1 Disagree0

Also if ageuro injury is serious city will step back into the transfer market

Agree0 Disagree0

£16m transfer fee is do-able, but £150,000 (questimate) a week is well out of our reach. I much as I would love to see him every week in our shirt, unless he has a major fall out with the squad (Ade style), I can't see Man City subsidising his wages or even letting him leave at the moment.

Flippit

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2012 07:25:35
The striker situation is pretty obvious. AVB has clearly stated that he only want 1 more in. That WILL be Adebayor. So all these llorente and other roumers are all pie in the sky. Levy ain't spending 27m + wages when he can get Ade for much less. So stop teasing yourself lads, this is how it's gonna be.

Wattspurs

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Why would he say we want two and give sellers a chance to push their prices up or for that matter to upset JD right now? We definitely want two new strikers, whether we get two is another issue

Agree0 Disagree0

Just saw hernandez outside white hart line... possible transfer for 15million or on a season long loan

Agree1 Disagree8

Adebayor will sign mid week which is needed asap..then a big money midfeilder will also be brought in...also woudnt be suprised if adam johnson comes in on loan or maybe spurs buy him on the cheap..he will come in instead of Gaston Ramirez
