Alan Dzagoev's agent has apparently held talks with tottenham chairman daniel levy about a £16.5m deal. Levy has also told luka modric that he will not be sold to a rival premiership club, it now looks like PSG are favourites to sign the midfield maestro for a fee in the region of £38m according to french media this evening. Real Madrid have yet to show any intrest in the croatian.

Its true Dzagoev will cost about 16.mil...he signed an extra contract agreement which states he wold stay for a extra season..he did not no of this clause which goes to show what agents are like..he looks a real talent and would defo snaphim up 2 replace Luka "Sally Gunnel" Modric

I remember flippit .... I also think your stark raving mad for thinking Pienarr is modders replacement ... He doesn't perform for us but does for everton ergo I think he will be sold back to them this summer ...
If we sell modric we will get a decent replacement or I'd like to see VDV used in his role as his passes specially some of his long passes are exquisite ... Although his work rate may leave us a little open in the middle...

You are all very welcome to agree or disagree. At the time I honestly believed that Moyes would move to us and start to get the best out of Pienaar just like he has done so at Everton. I never said he was as good as Modders, just that I could see it happening.

Here's hoping for some food news soon....

Alan Dzagoev's dad has come out today and said Spurs are trying to sign him.

Heard that spurs have held talks with his agent about a £16.5m deal. modric could be on his way to PSG according to french media this evening in a £38m deal.

Spurs legend Graham Roberts on talksh1tt has just said he has heard from within the club that the managerial appointment on monday/tuesday (avb) will be accompanied by the announcement of a significant investment from an arab consortium. Roberts believes this is why Bale has stayed, with the promise of renewed investment.

My guess is that any ivestment will have be in relation to the palnned stadium. FFP means that there will be little wriggle room for any sort of investment other than infrastructure
This is where FFP isnt fair in that those clubs that have had the benefit of a benefactor have the slate wiped clean but the rules now ineffect will work against any other clubs having mony thrown at them.

The Arab money will probably be down for stadium naming not for millions and millions for new players , we don't have the income to balance huge signings and wages for the FFP

Levy and lewis have broken the wage structure they put in place 10yrs ago to keep bale, he now earns £115.000 a wk!

Whilst great news for Bale if he is indeed on anything like £110k a week that really could be a slippery slope.
Any top class player coming to Spurs will now be able to argue that the benchmark is a minimum of £100k. Very very soon the mid range players will be looking at wages closer to what was in the past the maximum.
Spurs wage bill has been growig at an alarming rate and for me the only way any of this is affordable is CL.

Bale is earning in the regions of £75,000 on his new contact, we cant give players six figures, which is why until FFP fully kicks in, we cant compete.

Well, today's the day folks. The count down has reached 0. Today will be one of the best days in the history of Tottenham Hotspur. For today folks is the 1st of July 2012.

Today is THE day of vindication for our very own, the one and only all seeing, all knowing Oracle.

Remember folks that by the end if today we have been assured the Spirs will have announced the signs of Vertonghen, Rob Green (even though he has signed for QPR) and Damiao.

Currently 0 for 7 for your latest leaked insider information, I sincerely hope that you will be at least 2 for 7 come the end of play today. I would LOVE to See Damiao at Spurs, but I'm guessing that if you are lucky, Vertonghen will be your only one, but I can't see that happening today either.

AVB will be annonced tomorrow not today, Vertonghen dispute continues but will come to fruition (shortly). Moutinho would be great but Levy will not sell Modders for 30m and spend it all on one player - so forget that one. Damiao won't happen either and he is waiting for bigger fish! Huntelaar could well happen - as well as Sig. (this week) but there could be one surprise before the opening game. AVB will have funds and hopefully will pluck out a star name to stamp his authority on the team. Zac (check my previous posting - they have all been correct) told you HR was a gonner a week before he got the push, told you AVB was the manager - two weeks ago. It would not be the form move, but allowing AVB, if that is who it is, to bring in Moutinho to replace Modric would certainly a) make a statement about the club backing AVB and b) allow AVB to instantly stamp his mark on the team. Although I doubt it will happen, to do is to dare.
