My brother's law firm has a hand in the dealings for the Spur's manager and he said that the manager has been signed since last weekend. To be percise Saturday night!

Original poster - you really don't know do you ? and i am betting your brother in law does not either !
Agree1

I suggest you tell you brother in law to continue painting the toilets at White Hart Lane with his Blanc emulsion. AVB has signed already and the delay is simply timing due to personal commitment of Levy. You will see the master plan rolled out in the next fortnight.
AVB, Vertonghen, Damiao, Sigurdsson are all coming.
The Modric Situation will obviously be the driver to other deals, but AVB has already stressed Moutinho, Perreira and Hulk as three target required to transform Spurs to the Elite category in European football.

If we find out in the news that Damaio has a stalker it will be you Oracle that will be reported to the authorities. This infatuation with him needs to stop for your own good. Take a up a hobby instead, go kite flying, trainspotting, etc.

Oracle you have absolutley no right to mock anyone with some of the statements you put up!! Damiao is not coming to tottenham and why would we need to strengthen a LB when we have a 41 year old goalkeeper who needs replacing - you just bring up everything that has been said in the media and are quite frankly boring me to death!! I'd love to know what your allegiance to Damiao is? {Ed008's Note - Just gonna remind everyone Assou-Ekotto stated near end of season he may leave...

Alan Dzagoev's agent has apparently held talks with tottenham chairman daniel levy about a £16.5m deal. Levy has also told luka modric that he will not be sold to a rival premiership club, it now looks like PSG are favourites to sign the midfield maestro for a fee in the region of £38m according to french media this evening. Real Madrid have yet to show any intrest in the croatian.

He signed a secret contract extension so 16.5m for a 21 yr old who had a damn good euros would be a decent price.

Its true Dzagoev will cost about 16.mil...he signed an extra contract agreement which states he wold stay for a extra season..he did not no of this clause which goes to show what agents are like..he looks a real talent and would defo snaphim up 2 replace Luka "Sally Gunnel" Modric

I posted that Modders would go to PSG and that we all ready have his replacement in the side - Piennar.
Surely you remember that, after all the stick I got for it. The Eds can verify. Are you suffering from short term memory loss or do you just like to argue with what ever I type just because it is me? Either way, I don't give two hoots about a poster who hides behind there keyboard.
Flippit {Ed001's Note - to be fair, I do remember you saying about Pienaar as his replacement, because I remember thinking Pienaar would be unhappy as he had asked to be allowed to join Everton.}

I remember flippit .... I also think your stark raving mad for thinking Pienarr is modders replacement ... He doesn't perform for us but does for everton ergo I think he will be sold back to them this summer ...
If we sell modric we will get a decent replacement or I'd like to see VDV used in his role as his passes specially some of his long passes are exquisite ... Although his work rate may leave us a little open in the middle...

Thank you lads (eds, bucks spur and bear yid).
You are all very welcome to agree or disagree. At the time I honestly believed that Moyes would move to us and start to get the best out of Pienaar just like he has done so at Everton. I never said he was as good as Modders, just that I could see it happening.
Here's hoping for some food news soon....
Flippit {Ed001's Note - I did say it was never going to be Moyes, never in the reckoning mate. I would also like to say I told you so regarding AVB, when he was a massive outsider and everyone else was saying Moyes, but I won't. Oh wait....}

Agree3

Why people rate Lloris is beyond me. He fails with positioning, kicking and isn't even a great shot stopper. I never thought I would be using our very own Gomes as a benchmark, but dare I say he I would rather keep him. Why we haven't snapped up Kack Butland is a mystery to me, clearly the next Joe Hart in goal and could be introduced slowly at his age. I cannot fathom what Levy is thinking in the keeper department. He has scouted many in the last 2 months including Green, Vorm, Viviano, Lloris as well as another 10 or so less know names like Butland. There has also been rumour that AVB likes Gomes and will redesign him into the player he once threatened to become. I personally would cover the bases by releasing Cudicini and the rest. Get Butland for the future and bring in Vorm under Freidel, because at his age one knock could end his career or keep him out for months.

Spurs legend Graham Roberts on talksh1tt has just said he has heard from within the club that the managerial appointment on monday/tuesday (avb) will be accompanied by the announcement of a significant investment from an arab consortium. Roberts believes this is why Bale has stayed, with the promise of renewed investment.
Believable6
Unbelievable3
My guess is that any ivestment will have be in relation to the palnned stadium. FFP means that there will be little wriggle room for any sort of investment other than infrastructure
This is where FFP isnt fair in that those clubs that have had the benefit of a benefactor have the slate wiped clean but the rules now ineffect will work against any other clubs having mony thrown at them.
Agree4
Disagree1
The Arab money will probably be down for stadium naming not for millions and millions for new players , we don't have the income to balance huge signings and wages for the FFP
Neil Essex Yiddo adams
Agree1
Disagree0
Levy and lewis have broken the wage structure they put in place 10yrs ago to keep bale, he now earns £115.000 a wk!
Agree2
Disagree2
Whilst great news for Bale if he is indeed on anything like £110k a week that really could be a slippery slope.
Any top class player coming to Spurs will now be able to argue that the benchmark is a minimum of £100k. Very very soon the mid range players will be looking at wages closer to what was in the past the maximum.
Spurs wage bill has been growig at an alarming rate and for me the only way any of this is affordable is CL.
Agree0
Disagree0
Bale is earning in the regions of £75,000 on his new contact, we cant give players six figures, which is why until FFP fully kicks in, we cant compete.
HazzaHotspur
Agree0
Disagree0
Bale isn't on anything over 100k levy wouldn't be that stupid to have all players in uproar over wages ...
However you guys are missing the point of if we have investors we can use the money we were saving for the stadium towards players now .... *facepalm*

Why? lennon is better. Also if we are going for tis style of player then what about scott sinclair. there are rumours that he is linked with other clubs so why dont we take an interest.

Take a step down to join spurs?
From a manc too, so, how is the south coast this evening? Or are you one of the ones not from down there. Ireland then. Do you even know where Manchester is.
As far as taking a step down, was you talking about spurs or Walcott cos I think wot we got is a lot better than Walcott.
The most over rated player in the prem, don't want him any where near my club
Agree8

Why would we want walcott?
hes little more than a sprinter with footn
ball boots on
haringay athletics club is around the corner.

Lennon better than Walcott? Dont make me laugh!
Agree8
Disagree6
I know plenty of even the most rose-tinted of Gooners who admit Walcott is gash! His final ball is very rarely much better than Lennon's and he doesn't conrol the ball as well when running with it. In fact, take him out of the arsenal team and put him in a mid-table side and he would get even less of a kick week in week out.
If AVB's early signings include him then he will have a long way to go to win most people over IMO
Agree0
Disagree1
The thing is in the Lennon/Walcott debate, is that with Walcott there is no middle ground. He'll be awful for games at a time and then suddenly have one or two amazing games in succession. Lennon is much more consistent, although saying that he is starting to get worryingly injury prone. Also you have to remember that Walcott had rvp to finish chances he created, giving him lots of assist figures, and he plays higher up the pitch in an attacking 3, whereas Lennon plays more in a midfield 4
Agree1
Disagree1
Walcott no way,what a laugh?
AVB done, Vertonghan done, Oscar (from international in brazil) done, Damiao deal may now happen when oscar deal goes through, Joao Moutinho deal will happen when Modric goes (shame great player hope he don't warm bench in Madrid) would also like to see Sahin, Adebayor, Bruno Uvini, Casemiro in, and a keeper from Kasper Schmeichel, Yann Sommer (basle), Matt Ryan (Central Coast Mariners in Australia), Rafael (santos)
Agree1
Disagree1
Theo walcoots rubbish..a poor mans lennon...ok he is fast and i admitt that if he was trained as a striker he would be hard 4 defenders 2 catch and may score 1 on 1s..but lennon has muh more to his game..his crossin is better, his contoll and his abilty 2 cut in and out of defenders is really good...we have better reserve team players then him...and as for the man united fan who commented p**s off and look at ur own team..u thinking walcoot is a good player goes to show how much u no about the game..
Dapz
Agree3

Lennon is better, he actually has control of the ball as he dribbles.

Stats don't lie and Walcotts stats are far superior to Lennons, he is also picked over him in the national team. 2 years younger aswell I think

Well, today's the day folks. The count down has reached 0. Today will be one of the best days in the history of Tottenham Hotspur. For today folks is the 1st of July 2012.
Today is THE day of vindication for our very own, the one and only all seeing, all knowing Oracle.
Remember folks that by the end if today we have been assured the Spirs will have announced the signs of Vertonghen, Rob Green (even though he has signed for QPR) and Damiao.
Currently 0 for 7 for your latest leaked insider information, I sincerely hope that you will be at least 2 for 7 come the end of play today. I would LOVE to See Damiao at Spurs, but I'm guessing that if you are lucky, Vertonghen will be your only one, but I can't see that happening today either.
LET IT BE KNOWN THAT I WOULD LOVE ORACLE TO BE ABLE TO RAM THIS DOWN MY THROAT AT WHICH TIME I WILL BE THE FIRST TO APOLOGIES IF I AM WRONG but I think I'll be ok.
Tick tock is ploughing head first at great speed into tocked.
It would appear that AVB is nailed on to be our next boss. Your 'insight' into who will be the next manager however was a post that included name dropping just about every manager in Europe, so theres no way you can claim you 'gave it to us' as and when one of your extensive list does indeed, get it.
Flippit
Believable7

Great Post!
AVB will be annonced tomorrow not today, Vertonghen dispute continues but will come to fruition (shortly). Moutinho would be great but Levy will not sell Modders for 30m and spend it all on one player - so forget that one. Damiao won't happen either and he is waiting for bigger fish! Huntelaar could well happen - as well as Sig. (this week) but there could be one surprise before the opening game. AVB will have funds and hopefully will pluck out a star name to stamp his authority on the team. Zac (check my previous posting - they have all been correct) told you HR was a gonner a week before he got the push, told you AVB was the manager - two weeks ago. Told you we wouldn't get Cahill and that we wouldn't sign anyone of note in January. Also told you Defoe will not leave and that we won't sign Adebayor - wait and see. ZAC ZAC ZAC

Just a quick question for you financial heads amungst us, as tottenham delisted from the stock market I am assuming they are no longer a plc ??
Meaning the potential for weekend activity is greater due to the fact they don't have to announce to the market before anything is signed ?? Is this correct ?
Also on sugurdsson I think he will go Liverpool ??

It would not be the form move, but allowing AVB, if that is who it is, to bring in Moutinho to replace Modric would certainly a) make a statement about the club backing AVB and b) allow AVB to instantly stamp his mark on the team. Although I doubt it will happen, to do is to dare.

Damiao - CONTINUALLY WRONG
Green - LAUGHABLLY WRONG
July 1st - WRONG AGAIN
AVB - PRESS REGURGATAION
Vertonghen - MORE PRESS REGURGATAION
Sigurdson - AGAIN, PRESS REGURGATAION
