We alreasy have a playmaker in vdv he can play modrics role simple as thats his natural postion and he will score goals wih modric dosent

Sergei Rebrov was a goal scorer and dont forget Grzegorz Rasiak who promsed to world and brought about as much threat infront of goal as Didier Zokora.

Luka Modric is a world class player like Gareth Bale and Van Der Vaart. Losing superstars can only weakne the side unless the fee is ridiculous in which case it has the reverse effect.

Simple transfer concept is keep Modric and Bale at all costs unless someone offers £40m+ for either of them. Only sell for £40m if you have a superstar willing to sign immediately after the transfer. Is this concept so difficult to implement, tell Chelsea NO or £40m. Tell Real Madrid NO or £40m. If they want to use Kaka, Diarra or even Sturridge as part exchange then ensure the prices for those players are correct and do the deal.

I've heard 2 rumours on SkySportsNews about Luka Modric
Thi 1st is: £30m + Kalou + Benayoun
and the other is:
£30m + Sturridge
I wouldnt mind either of theese offers

Sturridge would not be allowed to leave Benayoun and Kalou would.

Would only care for the second. Not sure what kind of contracts these three are on, but I'd prefer a promising younger player over two older players if only for the single wages. Not sure if I'd rather 30M+Sturridge or 35M straight up.

Dont want kalou,would be a disaster signing.

I would prefer £40m cash, no player from the Chavs. I dont want there skanky knackered old has beens and never was.

Modric is not worth that much just shows how crazy fees have gone

We dont need yossi and kalou more needless players fillin up our wage bill we need to seel players not get more pointless players would defintly take 30m+ strurridge

Why would we want to take more dead wood, already got JJ and Bentley sitting around on our wage bill. They wouldn't make first team it would be a waste of wages.

Harry seemed very down when he was interviewed before the match.
Strange if we have signed a couple of players as some are claiming.

Prolly cos Levy told him to keep his mouth shut about Modric... Everyday he just babbles to the media which keeps the story in the press instead of it going away.

Well Harry looks a bit like a bulldog anyway and they aren't known to be the happiest looking creatures

Adebayor is nearly complete and
should be announced tomorrow as a
season long loan.
Kranjcar rumours of a move to
Sunderland are just that, they have
not made an approach yet.
We are still pushing the Diarra deal
as we have a shortage of fit
midfielders (which is amazing when
you think of the amount we have).
Finally, i have also heard that we
are still considering a move for
Forlan. Have you headr anything on
this Ed? {Ed008's Note - Adebayor hopefully will be wrapped up before Man Utd on Monday negotiating who pays how much of his wages, Forlan all depends if we can pay around 12 Million for him and his wages are a stumbling block.
