Three members of Harry Redknapp have followed him out of Tottenham.

[Another site] says Tim Sherwood has survived the cull of the Tottenham coaching staff and could be elevated to a more senior role in the new regime.

The former Spurs midfielder has escaped the fate of Joe Jordan, Kevin Bond and Clive Allen, who have left along with Redknapp.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Didn't think much of bond ... But liked Allen and Jordan ...

Sherwood is here to stay for a long while yet
Which is good I like him also

I know people that work within Tottenham and they have told me that Andre Vilas-Boas is the new Spurs Manager on a 3 Year Deal.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Sure you do pal. Nobody knows anything except Levy himself. Didn't see too many predicting the signings of Saha and Nelsen last window did we? That's because nobody is 'ITK' and it's all rumor and speculation. Why don't we just wait and see what happens instead of getting all worked up about something that none of us know nothing about?

Agree9 Disagree4

I really hope not as he is a one trick pony and really over rated in my opinion. I really hope we try for Slaven Bilic, He is perfect for Spurs. He has also stated in the past that he would like to manage in the EPL in the future and He would suit Spurs to a Tee...

People who work at tottenham? or all over twitter.

For the last time bilic has agreed to take the spartak Moscow job after the euros!

Agree4 Disagree1

Slaven Bilic is joining one of the moscow clubs after the euros, heard one of the commentators on the bbc saying it the other night.

Agree3 Disagree0

Personally, I'd like Deschamps or Bielsa but neither are available.
Blanc's contract expires after Euro 2012 but if France go far, I expect it will be extended.

Excited but have some trepidation about AVB. Saw some of the (Europa League) Porto games in 2010 and thought they were brilliant but he made some dumb decisions at Chelsea (as well as alienating players with his petty crap with Alex and Anelka).

Agree1 Disagree0

I know people who work within tottenham, my uncle works the door at Rudolphs night club!! Still doesn't know anything about whats happening at Spurs though!!

Does anyone else think there is something funny going on at spurs? We delist from the stock exchange 6 months ago saying it will help finance the new stadium...however this clearly makes no sense as your taking a potential source of finance away from the club.

Next we let Harry go for a large settlement, with no immediate replacement. Another strange decision.

Then you look at what Harry said "The club wanted change" and "CL wouldn't have made a difference" also both odd thing, as the club was finding the best spell we have had in years, and why would CL not have made a difference? You'd fire the manager of a CL side for doing what you set him out to do at the start of the season?

The only way I can see these decisions making any sense are if Lewis and Levy are lining up the sale of the club. Thats the only way I can explain all the above. Don't know to who, but it does seem to be the only thing to make sense of all this.

Thoughts? (ed?)

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Steed spot on mate it's all a bit odd I think for us to go forward we need a big investment lets face it we can't match the wages of the other top four clubs perhaps this is what the next step is a new owner with a big cheque book Harry's comments were as if he was hinting at something big behind the scenes lets hope are manager is sorted and we start spending to ease bales worries at the end of the day we don't wanna loose r best players but no one is bigger than the club we lost sol to the arsenal teddy to utd berba as wel carrick and we still went forward eventually but I'd love to see a new owner who will back a new manager and bring us forward lets hope it works out

Agree0 Disagree2

Avb is an imediate replacement.

Agree3 Disagree7

Well......HR's comment about change, in my opinion, meant managerial change.
I agree about a possible sale but there would be no point changing managers if they are selling up, certainly not appointing a new one anyway. Time will tell, if we appoint a new man, then no sale, again in my opinion.
Saying that, I've heard rumours they are trying to get a naming rights payment on the new stadium before any sale is considered.
So, in short, either a sale or a new boss coming in should clear it all up.

Agree4 Disagree0

Is AVB the spurs manager right now? No. So how exactly is he an immediate replacement?

I'd agree with the person who said a manger appointment either way will tell us alot. We appoint in a few days and a sale is less likely, if we don't it strongly suggests (to me) that Lewis is looking to sell.

Steed

Agree2 Disagree1

If no one is bigger than the club then they shouldn't be allowed to leave.

Agree2 Disagree1

I respectfully disagree with the poster above. While i agree that waiting to appoint a manager might mean there might be a purchase happening. IF a a high profile trophy winning manager like AVB comes, then the value of the club could potentially go up. This applies to any replacement of international notoriety.

Ed, sorry if I'm annoying you now, but do you still think we've got a good chance of getting Vertonghen? I'm tired of waiting. I just want him to join!!

John COYS {Ed002's Note - There certainly remains a chance Vertonghen will agree to a move.}

Any eds have confirmation of the ABV rumour which has been confirmed by many with little sources? {Ed002's Note - Certainly he is one of those being considered.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I just don't see why we aren't waiting until after the end of the Euros to see if Blanc is available. Personally I'd prefer Deschamps or, better still, Bielsa (although he just signed a year extension at Athletico).
Bielsa is a tactician who refuses to talk to the press -- what a pleasant change that would be.

Agree1 Disagree1

Pleasant but not ideal. The press tend to ask the questions that supporters want to have answers to. I think some contact is better than none, the manager is answerable to the supporters as much as the chairman.

Agree1 Disagree0

But if it's being bought over then the buyer might want to pick their own manager.

How about Damiao, Hulk, Llorente, Rossi, Aguero, Cavani, Hazard, Lavezzi, Remy, Ganso, Casemeiro as players we have bid for or looked at. {Ed002's Note - Some yes, some no.}

I really can't be asked hearing about this manager stuff.

Ed, have you got any news of transfer targets? All I see is rumours about future managers. Get a good manager now and start buying good names.

-John COYS {Ed002's Note - As a special treat to cheer you up, I can think of the following players who Spurs have at least looked at: Badelj, Elm, Llorente, Wijnaldum, Rodallega, Van Bommel, Lopez, Ramirez, Remy, Damiao, Dempsey, Armero and Boudebouz.

How would you feel about Lassano Diarra and some cash or Kaka for Modric?}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

No to Diarra, kaka only if vdv was to leave, if they wanted to do a deal for callejon & Alvaro morata + cash i'd take the hand off them.
Espur

Agree6 Disagree1

Diarra is a jack of all trades midfielder but not particularly great in any of them ... His best is DM ... But we have Scotty P , Sandro , Livermore ... And the hudd coming back I think the anchoring / DM position is sorted for us ... Kaka I haven't watched play much this year although I hear he's not been great either ...

Agree2 Disagree1

Diarra and cash. Kaka's getting old. And yeah, I wouldn't mind that. Midric wants to go, he didn't have a great season. Let him go. Cash in our hands (and a player:P) and we should then buy a great central midfielder, as Diarra I don't think is a great replacement. I'm thinking Cabaye! And ghen the change should go to someone like Vertonghen, to get the deal done!

Cheers Ed, it did cheer menup:P

John COYS!

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed you forgot vertongen or is that a done deal? {Ed002's Note - It was a list off the top of my head late at night - certainly Spurs have also shown an interest in Vertonghen.}

Agree2 Disagree0

A great offer...... 4 years ago

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm not a Spurs fan, i'm a Chelsea supporter but I think that Kaka would be great for you guys.

Ed, 2 things. First off, hearing some terrifying rumours that dan levy wants comolli back? Tell me it's not true, I've supported levy through thick and thin but this would be awful. Second, loads of chelsea fans suddenly think they're getting walker? Can't see it happening considering he just signed a new deal, but is there something I don't know? {Ed001's Note - I have not heard of any rumours regarding Comolli back, but I will try and find out for you. As for Walker, Chelsea like him, that is as far as it has gone.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I'm pretty sure that comolli bought Bale to the club plus a few good other youngsters like taarabt, boetang and dos santos. Ok the last 3 haven't performed for us but ask any QPR fan they were so glad he failed to impress with us. Boetang has gone on to play for 'bigger' teams and in my opinion has done well.
I could be wrong but I think he was also the brain behind Walker and Naughton aswell. So out of that list 2 players who came in and got young player of the year.

I don't think it's comolli who is the problem just the idea of a DOF I'd have him as a scout anytime.

Feel free to correct me if you need to as I'm not 100% on all this but just trying to make a point.

Oh yeah also check out some of the youth Liverpool have now... in a couple of years I'm sure they will have some class players... thanks to comolli!! {Ed001's Note - Comolli wasn't the one bringing in the Liverpool youth, that is completely untrue. The Academy dealt with those signings, not Comolli.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie Adam, mega-bucks on Downing, Henderson and Carrol....

Agree4 Disagree0

As well as being responsible for liverpools current load of dross, comolli is the man who not only completely undermined martin jol, but also spent15 million pounds on bentley, 16 million on bent. Nearly all of our expensive fringe players were bought under him. His mode of business is buy anyone who could be lauded as the next big thing no matter how much it costs. As a result we would get situations like we would need a new left back for now, and instead of going out and getting who the coach wanted, Comolli would go and get a young attacking midfielder for 5 years time if he fulfills his potential. I would be interested to see what would happen if we got a DOF, but not comolli

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps it was more about the scouting under Graham Carr than about the DOF ?

Agree0 Disagree0

No I think carr's blameless in this instance, look at what he's done at Newcastle. Basically out of the 2, comolli and Carr, who's at toon and who's at pool? They're on completely different ends of the spextr

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll was miss handled by kenny dalglish..who was too confused with the strategy..
and watching carrolls performance in last few months n that thumping header in euro..there is no dbt carroll is here to stay.

Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in signing relegated Villareal striker Guiseppe Rossi, despite sacking manager Harry Redknapp yesterday.

The North London club saw a bid for Rossi rejected by the Yellow Submarine last summer and the Italian subsequently suffered a serious knee injury that ruled him out for over 10 months.

In his absence, Villareal endured a miserable campaign and were relegated from La Liga on the final day of the season, finishing 18th.

Rossi's agent insisted this week that his now fit client will stay in Spain and fight for his place but it has emerged that Spurs are still keen to bring the 25-year-old to White Hart Lane this summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy dismissed Redknapp yesterday but the former Portsmouth boss did not have complete control over transfers at White Hart Lane and Levy remains interested in a cut-price deal for Rossi.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Now fit? he got injured again a couple of months back and will be out for a few months yet, so suggesting his agent is saying he's fit is nonsense {Ed001's Note - he might never play football again.}
