I am not ITK but my friend is a coach for Spurs. Apparently the club expected Moutinho to visit last week/weekend to lure him in again. He did not show and no staff have any information whatsoever. It all seems to of dissolved as if Moutinho does not even exist.

Regarding the "prophecies" of Damiao - The feeling at the club is that they have made an enquiry to see the players situation. They have made no formal offer. Just like picking up a bag of crisps in a shop and seeing what the price is.

Sneijder - VDV has as well all know sung Spurs praises to him. That is the only link with Spurs.

This is just from employees of the club. As I mentioned, I am not ITK. But probably a darn sight more than half of you online. And I will comment, obviously staff get excited and gossip if a nice name is coming in. Guess what.......nothing.

Believable14 Unbelievable12

This all makes perfect sense to me, All this talk of top names coming in is fantasy land! DL will not spend big full stop and realisically any transfers will be last minute and bargain basement! Breaks my heart as i'm sure it does all fellow Spurs fans but that's the reality...

Mate if i want to comment i will no matter where i come thfc want my support regardless of geography. look at man utd in asia so lets keep the club for londeners only yea right fortunately you don't run our club
smallminded, you should support a local town team with that mentality then you and the 200 people with you were ALL local spurs are MASSIVE

Think i prefer Derbyshire Daves summing up.

I am in the know, and your story is complete and utter nonsense. Your mate may drive a coach for Tottenham, but the points you make do not sit with any of the clubs coaches. Moutinho and Damiao deals are very advanced and completed restrictively at club level.

The deal for Sneijder is always possible if he wants to play football, but cannot possibly be achieved if he continues to push unreasonable contractual terms. My message to Wesley is if you want money then rot on your bench and stay where you are, if you want football then stop being unreasonable and come to a club that would love you.

Damiao 100%
Moutinho 80%
Sneijder 10%

Derbyshire Dave, your spurs and you know you are! I don't care where anyone is from... if your Spurs, your Spurs end of!

That said a little confused by your first post unless you meant that the origional poster wasn't in the know because there is nothing to know...

Mark my words there will be no massive spending in Jan and if anything does happen it will be late and an anti climax!

The harsh reality is we have a chairman which aren't going to spend the money on the real big names, never has and never will!

I would give my left nad to be proved wrong, quite attached to the little fella so that's how sure I am!!

So are we gettin damaio willian and moutinho now?!

Oracle, you are not "in the know". Daniel Levy would not be stupid enough to employ somebody who spends all his time sitting on rumour websites and leaking all potential transfer news, unless your job is to mislead everyone with false information.

Agree3 Disagree6

The Oracle 'I am in the know' - quote unquote... absolutely hilarious. Never has there been anyone less in the know than you. Let's face it, if you really are in the know, you're hardly going to post your knowledge on here.

This is probably the most realistic post I have ever seen on here. I can't believe people are opposing it. But there is always the little kid inside me who doesnt want to hear it and want a big signing

Ed, do you know anything about the rumours that Wesley Sneijder's agent saying the preference for Sneijder is to play for a London club. {Ed002's Note - Should be on the fishing page.}

Ed, any news on damaio ? bet victor have slashed the odds on him joining to 1/8 {Ed002's Note - There is nothing new. Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter, Milan and Juventus. Lyon, Arsenal and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. The summer saw rejected bids from Spurs and PSG. Spurs, both Milan clubs, Roma or (much less likely) Juventus may force a move - and these remain the most viable destinations right now. His club value him at an unrealistic 60M euro which they obviously won't get anywhere near - and they don't want to sell. He has complex ownership issues so it will not be an easy ride for any potential buyer that wants to negotiate a low fee. The player says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable, but they have taken a look at him.}

Everything seems to have gone quiet in terms of rumours about Llorente. I would be surprised if Daniel Levy didn't at least try to open contract negotiations with him, as he is exactly what we need and available for a good price or potentially even a free transfer.

He may be linked with Juventus but if they're the only club monitoring him closely then why haven't they completed the deal already? He has stated several times he wants to play in the EPL.

Adam {Ed002's Note - Juventus has not yet completed the deal as they would prefer a pre-contract for the summer but, if forced in to a deal now want to pay the smallest fee that they can. Whilst Fernando Llorente is still interesting a number of clubs talks of a January move to Juventus have again taken place with agreement on personal details reached with Llorente's advisors. Whilst Chelsea, and I suspect Manchester City, have dropped their interest, a number of other clubs were scared off by the size of the transfer fee being asked by Athletic Bilbao, regardless of his contract expiring in the summer. There is now a very good chance that he will move in January rather than waiting for the summer. Recent interest from Arsenal, Spurs, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona has been ramping up but will likely come to nothing. Athletic Bilbao are not getting value from the player right now and are resigned to losing him and I suspect will seek to get Juventus to double their low offer to facilitate a January move. His alternatives will be to sign a new contract (very unlikely), sign a pre-contract in January for a summer move or to let his contract run down and go for a good sized signing on fee.}

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Sorry for the double post Ed, I thought my previous one hadn't gone through for some reason.

Adam

Agree0 Disagree2

There is absolutely no truth in Llorente being linked to Spurs. Damiao has been agreed and will complete before the window closes, and Llorente is not even part of a contingency plan.

The Oracle

Agree5 Disagree2

Oh shut up Oracle, you really are bonkers to bother posting about Damaio when you've said the same for 3-4 windows. I could've told you Fabregas was going to Barca for 5yrs beforehand or that Modric was leaving for 2yrs beforehand but it would hardly be 'I told you so' after taking so long and getting it wrong several times first would it!?!?

Any news on this young Korean Son Heung-Min?
Have we actually made a bid yet?

I've heard he can play winger, attacking midfield and striker so he'd fill a number of useful roles as a backup. Especially if he's as talented as has been reported.

Although Asians have never had the biggest impact on the Premier League (barring Park Ji Sung maybe?), so I hope his luck's a bit better.

I'd love to bring him in as well as taking advantage of the financial situations of Spanish clubs. It sounds harsh but that's football, could get some good cut price bargains.

JW {Ed002's Note - Spurs has put an initial offer on the table for Hamburg's Heung Min Son.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He's only 20 as well, exactly what we need, we don't need to break the bank for a striker

Hi Eds,

I've searched high and low for news on the Sneijder deal but can't find anything... Is there any truth in it?

Thanks,

Dom {Ed002's Note - For contractual reasons Gala want an answer today (15th). For competing a deal for his replacement, Inter want the money ASAP. Sneijder wants time to get other offers on the table, although neither of the clubs approached on Thursday are looking likely to do it - and his reputation is not being helped with his latest financial demands of Inter (to leave the club). If this drags on past tonight then other clubs could then make an offer to Inter and, if accepted, talk to the player. Until then I suspect his agent will be pestering potentially interested sides in the EPL and possibly elsewhere.}

Snreijder wants a payday.....will go to highest payer.. regardless of cl football...but i'd welcome him here.. yidade

Looks like Shaktar's stance over Willian has loosened dramatically, and Levy might possibly be willing to take advantage.

The only names being tooted, as of now, is us and Chelsea. To be honest, the one thing we can offer Willian is consistent selection. Chelsea have a mass of attacking talent in Hazard, Mata and co., but Spurs do not, as of yet, have that creative spark. Dembele has shown signs, but is not that type of player.

But, unfortunately, it may all come down to money. Chelsea's wallet is much bigger than Spurs', and they will offer higher wages, much higher, than we will.

For now, I have little idea of where this guy might turn up, but I hope it is us. But one thing's for sure, this guy is definitely forcing a move, and is looking increasingly likely that some one, whether us or Chelsea, will soon snap him up.

Everything seems to have gone quiet on the Llorente rumours, I'd be really surprised if Levy doesn't at least try to open talks with him - he's available on a free in the summer and he's exactly what we need.

Llorente + Belhanda would be an excellent pair of signings and seem like the kind of deals that Levy normally goes for. To be honest I can't see him spending big bucks on Damiao, Moutinho or Sneijder if past transfer windows are anything to go by.

Well anyway that's my prediction for January transfer window, if we actually sign anyone else at all...

Adam

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Adam,

Yep. I'm not sold on Belhanda - principally because I know very little about him - but since our interest in Llorente became evident a couple of years ago, I've followed his career, and I would love to see him in the Lilywhite. Basically, a skilful version of Adebayor, given his physical assets and power, but capable of coping with the rigours of the EPL. Personally, I'd prefer to see us go for Llorente and get him in for about £8-10m instead of wasting £15-18m on Damiao. At least Llorente has shown he can play in a top European league....

Not convinced by Sneijder either. Would be a very expensive purchase, based on pedigree rather than current form, never mind his levels of fitness, so if Belhanda's anything on him, I'd take a look.

Personally though, I'd go for Llorente and Willian if given the choice....

With Sneijder and Llorente both going cheap I don't understand why we haven't gone all out to sign the pair, as both would be cheaper than either Willian or Moutinho on their own both player would improve our spuad and our chances of CL football, if the club is serious about competing at the top of our league then sooner or later we have to push the boat out and secure a couple of top draw players
Lee

Agree2 Disagree2

Would love Llorente or Negredo, more so than Damaio but I bet we'll get none of the above.
Sneijder could be good for us but on a loan so he wants to be all guns blazing for the run-in to get a deal with us or even elsewhere. Ok that's a bit short-term and mercenary but both parties would have a lot to gain if he came good for a few months. He needs a new club and we need 4th this year pretty desperately or Bale is going and, we'll be continuing as a 'nearly' team right up until we have another 20k seats to fill during what will probably still be tough economic times.

Agree1 Disagree2

BigBird, totally agree about your comments on Llorente and Sneijder. My suggestion is watch Belhanda when Morocco play in the African Cup of Nations. He plays a similar role to Willian but is more creative and more of a playmaker in my opinion whereas Willian is more technical. He hasn't been on form this season (hence his reduced price) but I suspect that is because he wants to move club.

Hello Ed Are we still in the running for Zaha has realistically Willian the price beign quoted for him is a joke Zaha has bags of potential and he's at an age where he could be sold on in future for a big profit which would only benifical to the club. so i woudl just like to know

1. if we are intrested
2. how strong is the intrest if its there
3. who if nto us looks best placed to grab him

{Ed002's Note - (1) Yes. (2) Crystal Palace will look to hold on to Zaha until the summer and if they get promoted perhaps after that. He was to be allowed to move this past summer at the right price with Sunderland, West Ham and Reading look possible destinations. Liverpool have certainly looked at Zaha in the past but there has been strong recent interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs (as an alternate to an expensive Willian perhaps). Game time will no doubt be a factor in the short-term. Arsenal will probably ease off on interest if and when Walcott signs a new deal. (3) Perhaps Manchester United.}

Ed001, why .... yadda yadda yadda, that's it!

spurs guvnor {Ed002's Note - I suspect that teh post was rejected was that it was wrong. There has been a bid made for a striker - but not the player you mentioned. Ed001 is not around right now so I cannot check with him as to whether or not you conspiracy theory is correct.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Do we know who the bid for the striker is ed or is it top secret at this stage
ps would the oracle know

Why is Spurs Guvnor always being censored, it's not like he's doing the dance of the Nazi youth? And Eds have no problem with the Orifice posting nonsense all the time? If that's what's circling twitter then maybe the sneijder deal is bogus because remy is defo not signing for spurs.

QPR are on the verge of tieing up sensational loan deal for willan with view to a permanent deal in the summer should they stay up. Levy pull finger out sharpish if this is true.
The fella who wanted arry for Ukraine job is saying deal nearly done.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Willian isn't going to QPR no matter how much they offer.
If this side goes down with no-relegation clauses for M'Villa, Remy and Willian, they would be bankrupted (or, in our parlance, Redknapped).
