Villa have put down a deadline of Wednesday for Benteke to leave Villa Park this summer!

Good hopefully we fail to reach an agreement by then. Don't fancy signing Hesky mk 2

I think we can spend the potential £20m+ on better things than Benteke. Yes he had one good season. But Villa have no need to sell him as he still has a good chunk left on his contract! Plus £20m+ is just Villa saying that they don't want to sell. He is worth £12-15m at best. That type of inflation is madness.

I'd rather us just stick the £20m on Damiao and get that saga over and done with.

You are welcome to him if you want him, we have Helenius who will be better in time than Benteke. Helenius & Benteke would be better but if you pay £25m we can reinvest - so the deal is in your Spur like hands!

Spurs will not pay more than 20 million for Benteke. And at this current time it looks like no other club wants to pay Aston Villa more than 20 million and rightly so. He had one good season and 20 million max price really unless liverpool want him for 35 million lol.

Aston Villa are better off accepting 20 million or they are stuck with a player that doesn't want to be there and will cause havoc and disruptions.
20 million they can find someone fast and before season starts.

Villa fan here - Benteke won't cause any disruptions if he stays because he can't afford to with the World Cup coming up. Lambert will just leave him out of the team as he does with all the disruptive influences in the team and he won't be goung to the World Cup with Belgium then.
Also the person who compared Benteke to Heskey try and find a spare brain cell from somewhere.

Ok Villa fan I'll borrow the 1 from the Villa fans who thought you'd get no less than 40mill for Benteke. If you can't see the comparisons then I'd have to say you may need to invest in a brain cell or 2 aswell!

Never at any time have I or any other Villa fan said we expected to get 40 million for Benteke. The price is 25 million and not a penny less.
You must be the only person who sees any resemblance between Benteke and Heskey. For a start Benteke doesn't score 1 goal and then miss15 sitters.

Villa fan, before running your mouth off and making yourself look stupid check the facts first. Before Benteke handed in a transfer request your fans were saying 40mill no less. I know because I asked if they honestly believed he should be valued at the same price as Suarez. Go on, check the history on your page.
Also I'm not the only person who has claimed he is like Heskey, many people on here have seen the comparisons. I. e Heskey had a good season and looked an amazing player then looked like championship quality the year later. Also how can you claim he isn't like Heskey when you've only seen him play 1 season of football? Next year he could be awful. Same old villa fans different poster. Having followed your exchange of views with my fellow Villa fan with interest it occurs to me that you and many Spurs fans feel that Benteke is likely to prove a one season wonder and therefore overpriced at 25 million. If that is indeed your fear my suggestion to you and your club is that you go away and stop pestering us for his services. Wait and see what kind of a second season he has with us and if it is as good as the last one, then put in a bid for him next season. Simples.

Fair comment Villa fan 2. I'm not sure if your aware though but I'm not Baldini or Levy just another fan who has views on my own team so therefore cannot control who the club decide to sign. If it was up to me he wouldn't be a spurs player next year, especially at 20-25mill. As for pestering, how many times have Villa or Spurs come out and said a bid has been made? None that I know of so your comment is irrelevant and maybe your fans should stop coming on our page with the abuse if they don't like the replys. Just a thought.

Spurs fan - Far play to you but I wasn't intending to be abusive. I realise you are not in charge of the club and you are an ordinary fan of your club as am I.
Could you and your like minded fans not find some way to convey your feelings to Mr Levy and hopefully end this nonsense as there seem to be rather more Spurs fans that do not want Benteke there than those that do? I would assume that someone has told Benteke and/or his agent that they want him or he would not have submitted a transfer request. I assume that must have been Tottenham as they are the only club that has been mentioned as being interested. As the old saying goes, there is no smoke without fire.

Villa fan 2 - appreciate your civilised response, seems like something that is missing between fans on this site.
I as many fans, would love to be able to tell Levy what to do in the transfer market but know its a waste of time and oxygen. For 3 years we've been asking him to get a top striker and still no luck. So I've got more chance to sleep with the queen than I do convincing him not to sign Benteke.
As response to your comment about the transfer request, you could be right, it's defiantly a possibility. But it's just an assumption so there is no proof. Let me finish that argument with another old saying if you assume you make an ass-out-of-you-and-me no disrespect intended.
