Athletic Bilbao president Josu Urrutia has said £28million to land Spain international Fernando Llorente.. cue Levy
ou812

Believable3 Unbelievable2

If it was 28 pound then maybe Levy would go for it Tottenham have finished in the market.

Agree2 Disagree4

I have to agree, I think we may be done as well. Would love to he proved wrong though!

Agree1 Disagree1

I think he should tell levy 40m like he does to anyone that wants his players

Agree1 Disagree1

But Llorente wants Champions League football

Agree1 Disagree0

How can anyone say we are finished in the market wen we have only 1 proven striker. either u lot or DL has gone completely mental

Michael Owen set to be announced signing for Spurs in the next 48 hours. Damiao to follow soon after that...

Jon

Believable13 Unbelievable6

I dont think owen is gd enough or will fit into our style of play and is injury prone, but if it means we get damiao i hope ur right.

Agree3 Disagree3

Your source?

Agree2 Disagree1

Too long have been reading some of the drivel on this site and not said anything, well Jon you, dear fellow, are off your friggin rocker....................

The Tribe.

Agree3 Disagree8

If we go for Owen I guess we wouldn't have to pay a fee.( free agent) knowing levy he will as utd to loan us for a season and pay 80% of his wages. By that time stoke will sign him.... Levy is a joke he is turning us into west spam. If by chance we get into cl it will be a bonus for him
Levy out now......
Mr g

Agree3 Disagree1

Stupid and utter nonsense. stop trolling our boards and go back to school.

ed by what day and by what time would any player have to have signed by in order to play for us against newcasle thanks. {Ed008's Note - As the game is on a Saturday players have to be registered between Monday-Friday as normal office times so that's 9am-5pm.

Hugo Lloris will be at our first game of the Premier League season against Newcastle, but only in the stands. Won't sign in time to make his debut.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Well lyon annouced that rejected a bid for him today and looks likely he be staying at lyon so ur prediction is wrong

Agree4 Disagree3

Ed what do u think the chances of this happening are? {Ed008's Note - Good GK improvement on what the club currently has but doesn't he want CL Football ? If so rules Spurs out unless a promise is made...

Agree1 Disagree0

Try reading what the Lyon guy actually said
A bid was received and rejected this summer could have been weeks ago but if Lloris wants to leave they will
Consider
He will be a spurs player very soon

Agree2 Disagree4

Would be nice but were not gonna get him. He does not wanna come>

Agree3 Disagree1

What is happening at our club ?
2 strikers required , still no director of football ,possible take overs/ investment.
All done on the last day of the season again
Wake up spurs

Agree5 Disagree1

Lyon chairman he said he will go to a top european club which rules spurs out of the running

Agree4 Disagree2

How can you say this prediction is wrong? The window has not even shut yet and you are guessing if we fail in one bid that we give up?

Only way you would know it's wrong is if to the left of you is Lloris, your name is Levy and to the right of you is Lyon chairman.

Give this rumour a chance, I personally think it will happen, just a matter of agreeing price with Lyon. we all knoq Levy starts his bid at £4.20 and then just works his way up, that's why his transfers take so long.

Spurs have £11m bid turned down for Steven Fletcher.

Believable6 Unbelievable11

Wouldn't be a bad signing, scored loads of goals for Wolves and had poor service. Great in the air, but is this instead of Ade? Is he Spurs quality?

Agree2 Disagree3

Steven Flecher 11mill Gary Hooper 9mill cookoo cookoo no contest

Agree2 Disagree0

Hes a 5 6million player at best its a disgrace

Agree6 Disagree2

Steven fletcher would be a more realistic signing then llorente, but i hope we just sign ade and maybe another hopefully not fletcher tho as he would not be worth the money they value himat.

Agree2 Disagree2

Fletcher! with signings like that i'm sure we'll attract the big names no problem
ou812

Agree2 Disagree1

I heard its Sunderland that had the bid rejected.

hoose

Agree3 Disagree1

I'd rather pay £30m for Llorente than £15m for Fletcher. Anyway, you won't get both. You'll be lucky to get Adebayor who is greedy. All he cares about is money.

Agree2 Disagree0

So u telling me after being linked with llorente,Adebayor,Hulk,Damiao,Ramirez and JKH we are settling for STEVEN FLETCHER!!..ok he can score goals but he isnt good enough 4 us and to mount a challenge for the lge!!
Dapz

Agree0 Disagree1

Spurs wont be challenging for the league no matter who they sign!stop dreaming

Is it correct that AEG takeover is imminent ? They are a company that knows how to run Sports Teams And Stadiums and it would surely be a good move.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Ed any clues on the one? {Ed008's Note - From what i've read i feel Spurs will not be taken over but investment will be made into the club to push the club forward in the future probably from Qatar or other investors.

Agree2 Disagree4

Spurs want to hurry up with signings perhaps now redknapp isnt in charge and its avb maybe we are not hearing about who we are chasing. Lets just hope levy pays competitive wages . Its ashame modric dont knuckle down for 1 more year and levy lets him go if we fail to qualify for champions league to real madrid after all the ratboy signed the contract end of the day

I understand we put in a 14million bid for Steven fletcher! Hope its true good in the air and will score a lot of goals!

THFC4EVER

Believable3 Unbelievable15

This would be the most ridiculous signing at such a price given Levy's usual prudence. We need some kind of capable back-up to a top-striker so, if we can even get the latter then Fletcher is worth a punt as some cover at £8-9m, no more. Even that is unlikely.

Agree5 Disagree2

Steven fletcher is not good enough

Agree7 Disagree3

Disgrace

Agree5 Disagree3

Oh this must be the most frustrating transfer window. Levy sacked Harry and brought in AVB for a change in direction and to move the club forward. We are at a standstill!! There must be money for signings and I dont believe for one minute all these players are turning us down. We were 4th last year and arguably played the best attacking fball for 2/3 of the season.
I'm sure DL made promises to AVB about money available and support, surely DL & AVB know we need strikers and a new GK (push the boat out for Lloris). The Olympics are over and yes there are international matches Wed night, but please, please sign us a few quality players or else we will be looking at the same situation of Saha, Nelson and possibly even more worrying a Rasiak situation....

Stuart

Agree5 Disagree1

I can promise all spurs fans that the real THFC4EVER did not post anything about steven fletcher, I would not want him at Spurs he simply is not good enough.

Ed's any way of proving I didn't post this and how to stop people posting under others names.

THFC4EVER
{Ed008's Note - Well you added a email address to this post i'll ask the Ed's to keep note of it so we know who's the posters!

Ramirez has rejected a move to WHL because the wages offered werent enough. Typical f*ckin Levy failing to sign another player coz he is too tight! wat a joke!!

Believable6 Unbelievable4

He looks a decent prospect but unless we're shipping out Gio then this is just another midfielder and a spend we don't really need ahead of TWO strikers we're desperate for. Season starts in 4 days, not the end of August, although that's when we started it last year with exactly the same Modric fiasco and no Ade. We have also got a new manager so a bad start will be even more toxic than last season given his past!

Agree7 Disagree1

The deal will go ahead once we get rid of Modric, which if you believe the rumours, is done for 32 million.

I never normally post on here, but love to read all the gossip no matter how fabricated! Just wanted to say that i have never been so frustrated as now. We are so close to great squad, we MUST spend what it takes to sign 2 TOP strikers. Defoe is a great finisher but spends at least 30 mins a game offside, and if he gets injured in the 1st 5 mins at toon we will be left with............... Levy is good businessman but good buisness right now is to spend on a top striker or preferably 2 before its TOO LATE!

COYS

Believable14 Unbelievable0

We need to buy dimiao did you see him in the olympics 6 goals in 6 games exactly what we need... also is bale fit after adam's challenge?

If you guys think there is a chance of signing llorente or moutinho or even the french no1 you must be kidding . if you look back over the last couple of transfers windows we has missed out on most of our top targets!!! we should have signed the likes of remy 2 years ago. even if we were to have a bid excepted for llorente im sure another club like chelski would come in double our wages we would offer. Plus i heard from a very good source that we have a bundle of money to spend but the problem is none of the top players will come.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Moutinho has said he wants to leave porto and would be happy to join spurs. we cant make any more movements than we have due to one problem. Modric. if he goes, there will be movement with Lloris, Moutinho and M'Villa.

Adebayor is the only striker we are going for with Defoe as a back up. 4-5-1 preferred formation. Another striker to join in Jan.

L10

Agree1 Disagree2

Whats your very good source - The Mail? Fact is that you have as much idea as we do as to who would come to us. As for a bundle of cash - personally i feel we will not spend anything until the Modric saga is sorted.

Agree5 Disagree1

Damn right why would they???

Agree2 Disagree0

^^^ probably a gooner "why would they?" ask johnny verticle.

Agree2 Disagree4

Sorry but Defoe is not sufficient back-up to Ade. Not strong enough, doesn't hold the ball up that well or create/assist enough for others. Totally different kind of player and, for the level we've got to, an impact player at the most. Even Harry, one of his biggest fans, would played and subbed Saha ahead of him many times. 4-4-2 yes he can play sometimes, 4-5-1 he won't do enough for us.

Agree4 Disagree0

If we all know modric is leaving then why would we have to wait for the tranfer money? surely it would have been a better idea to get the replacement in asap rather then waiting of last/ min.com

David Ornstein from bbcsport has said

"Spoken to M'Vila camp, who say he'd only leave Rennes for a club in Champions League & currently no interest from CL clubs in England"

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ssn spurs have spoken to lloris club lyon and and they knocked backed spurs bid for him hinting if he goes it will be to c/l club

Moutinho deal back ON!! Should sign before Newcastle but if not before window ends. Modric should be off before Newcastle and with the money we will buy Llorente.

RtheYID

Believable7 Unbelievable10

We're going to get 25m for filthy Lukra which won't even cover Moutinho let alone him and Llorente who will only go to a CL bound team. Finishing 4th cost us big time.

Agree7 Disagree1

You been dreaming again?
